"Your Personality and You Workbook: Exercises to Better Understand Yourself and Who You Want to Be" offers a decent collection of exercises aimed at self-discovery, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me.
On the positive side, the workbook provides a variety of activities designed to help readers delve deeper into their personalities and aspirations. I appreciated the range of exercises offered, as well as the clear instructions provided for each one.
However, I found the overall presentation and tone to be a bit lacklustre. The workbook felt a bit dry and uninspired at times, lacking the energy and engagement that I was hoping for. Some of the exercises also felt a bit repetitive, which made it feel like I was going through the motions rather than experiencing meaningful introspection.

Additionally, while the exercises themselves were helpful to some extent, I didn't feel like they offered any particularly groundbreaking insights or revelations about myself. They were useful in prompting self-reflection, but I was hoping for more depth and impact.

The workbook is organized well and easy to follow, with clear explanations and examples throughout. It covers a wide range of theories and topics which could be helpful for someone new to personality work.
"Your Personality and You Workbook" is a solid resource, but it may not offer much new information for those who are already familiar with the topic.
Having a workbook as an ebook for me is somewhat hard because I prefer to hand write.
However, this book from the beginning started off by telling me all the things I needed to hear.
I really enjoyed it because it was more of a book instead of just a prompt journal.
Self-help and mental health workbooks can often feel hokey, cheesy, and preachy to me. Not so with this workbook. The tone was firm, yet gentle. There wasn't so much of the toxic positivity that sometimes rears up in these sorts of things. The first 5 chapters especially were very helpful to me at this stage in my mental health journey. For me, this is a good tool in my arsenal to work on concepts that I am pursuing with mental health care professionals. I'd recommend it for folks who are simply looking to make small changes in their lives and to anyone suffering from mental health afflictions, however for the latter I would recommend only doing so while also working with a professional. This workbook uses a lot of concepts from ISF, which worked well with my therapist's style, which was additionally helpful. The last few chapters were not as helpful for me, as they are more goals oriented. I appreciate the importance of setting goals and milestone moments, but for a perfectionist who turns everything into a goal, I'm trying to take a step back from that right now.
A great self help book that helps the reader change the aspects of their personality that they want to change. It's an easy book to follow along with, that gives useful tips and homework to help your with your journey.
As someone who has read her fair share of self help book, I I can say that this is a really good one.it doesn't offer get well quick advice. It guides you with long lasting tools.

Your Personality and You was a really interesting read! It was full of careful guidance and prompted introspection.
Thank you NetGalley and Callisto Media for providing me with an early copy of this book.
Yael H. Dubin’s story-telling approach to self-understanding is a good way to project and reflect on oneself. Although at times the exercises left you wanting more, the book allows the reader to discover parts of themselves they may not be aware of. It is a great book to use when having some self-care time.
A great source of finding your personality and implementing self-growth. It’s not written to be condescending to anyone and is easy to use. If you’re interested in self discovery, this is a great starting off point.
I enjoy this time of self-reflective exercise however as I have done quite a few, I did find this one fell flat for me. I think it's because it was great for a beginner level whereas I have been exposed to these kinds of exercises and materials before. I know other people will enjoy this book more than I did. Depends on where you are in your journey.
This is a great guide for people that want to explore more about themselves. Great addition to any self care library.
I really enjoyed this one, and can’t wait to add it to my physical collection! It taught me a lot and helped me.
This book’s subtitle is “Exercises to Better Understand Yourself and Where You Want to Be.” It achieves exactly that. Those who would like to explore themselves may well want to spend time with this workbook.
Chapters cover topics such as personality theories, nurturing self-growth, honestly looking at and knowing one’s self, setting goals, forming habits, tackling obstacles and more. Throughout the author demonstrates a positive attitude and a belief in the potential for understanding one’s self and growing. I especially liked her use of case studies.
The author is quite experienced and a good guide. Do as she suggests and work on the exercises in this title in order. It will be interesting to see where you land at the end. I recommend working through this book slowly with time to consider each section. The chance to reflect will add to what is gained.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Callisto for this title. All opinions are my own.
