The Exiles is the latest entry in Jane Harper’s Aaron Falk series, and remains one of my favorite police procedurals of all time. Harper captures the Australian countryside in such exacting detail that you feel like you’re right there. While The Dry still remains my favorite book of the series, The Exhiles finally sees Falk enjoying some personal happiness as he visits his dear friends the Raco’s for the delayed Christening of baby Henry. This is the first time a mystery has brought me to tears and I highly recommend this series for all mystery readers. I’m already impatient for the next book!
