I was excited to read Someone’s Watching Me, but unfortunately, the plot did not live up to the intriguing premise. Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing UK for providing me with an ARC of this novel for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
I really wanted to like this book but it was just a bit far fetched for me. I did like Becky as a character and I was glad everything turned out okay for her
Writing is solid. Very fast-paced book. Story kept me gripped and wanting to find out more. Book was everything a psychological thriller should be and more.
This is such a fantastic written story I loved all the twists and turns it was like being on a rollercoaster I didn't want this story too end but such an amazing ending I never guessed I love a good thriller that keeps me on my
This is a fast paced psychological thriller. The characters are all well developed. They are not all likeable. This is a page turner.
Becky's life is almost perfect, she could never have imagined living in such a safe beautiful home with her boyfriend Alex and they are hoping to start their own family soon.
When Max moves in next door things start to fall apart, her tyres are slashed, someone is trolling her social media. She suspects that person is Max.
Frightened Becky turns to Alex for support but is surprised to find that Alex and Max are friends and Alex is convinced it's in her own mind!!
I loved this book it sucked me in from the beginning. It was everything a psychological thriller should be and more.
Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for an honest review
What a rollercoaster. From the first sentence, you'll be drawn into this unforgettable story. A rich tapestry of characters and events that come to life drawing you in until the final twists!!
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
This is the first book I have read by this author, although it seems she has had other thrillers published. The main character, Becky, seems strange from the start, she is so fixated on getting pregnant that she is jealous of her pregnant colleague, she is worried about not performing well in her job but spends money on coffees, lunches and meals out, says she barely uses social media but 'only' has a couple of hundred followers on Instagram. Her behaviour becomes increasingly unrealistic as she spirals into such a fascination with her new neighbour that she is in danger of being locked up. We are told something happened in her childhood - it doesn't take a genius to work out the type of event this was - but she hasn't shared this with her partner of 3 years.
I didn't think this story was at all thrilling, Becky was unrealistic and there were no real twists or surprises. It wasn't as good as I expected from the blurb.
Thank you Netgalley and sorry for the delay in reading and reviewing.
A great book and crazy twisted story.
Suspense, intrigue and twists.
My first book by Zoe and hopefully there will be more.
I would highly recommend reading this book.
Someone's Watching Me had a lot going for it. I liked the first person POV, especially since I feel like I've been reading books with way too many POVs lately. Becky was a good narrator and I felt for her as no one seemed to believe her about the stalking. Her internal monologue did become repetitive even though it's a short book. I thought the book was a solid four stars but the twist and ending didn't work for me at all. I actually kind of felt like I invested myself in the plot for nothing. But i did like the author's writing style enough to give her another go for future books.
A good, tense read that is gripping and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I felt for Becky as disaster after disaster unfolded and was curious to see who Max really was. Some really good twists towards the end. I'll definitely look out for more from the author.
This was a well written, full of suspense thrilling read, that I will definitely recommended. I haven't read anything by Ms Rosi in the past, but will do so in future. Recommended.
This book was just okay. I read it quickly because it's short and there is a lot of action. A lot of paranoia. I felt bad for Becky. Her life literally unravels in a matter of weeks after Max moves next door. She feels unhinged after several bad things happen. She feels like she's being watched constantly, her job is suddenly in jeopardy, and her relationship goes off the rails. Honestly at that point I thought maybe she was just paranoid. Then the big reveal happened. I found the ending rushed and a little implausible I will read from this. Author again. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this
Not my cup of tea. I found the characters quite crazy and did not hold my interest. Also, some aspects were quite unbelievable.
Becky has the almost perfect life, that is until Max moves in next door and things start to fall apart.
A fast paced psychological thriller that will keep you hooked from the very first page.
Wow, what a fantastic thrilling read! The end was very unpredictable and so many twists and turns along the way. Highly recommend this book.
Thanks must go to the publisher, Netgalley and Zoe Rosi for a copy of "Someone's Watching Me" as an ARC. This story is gripping, twisty and chilling ad Becky seems to be having a run of bad luck, that becomes more and more sinister. One of those reads that would make you question your sanity if you were in their position!!
This is a quick and interesting read. The characters kid of annoyed me but the action was good. It felt fairly predictable.
A book to keep you guessing
A great book to read
Never read this ladies books before but would definitely read more of hers
Thanks NetGalley
Overall 4.5 star read. Yes, yes, yes!! A fun rip-roaring exciting ride. Book completed in 2 sittings. I had to see what crazy scenario and how it would be resolved. The book just flowed and I kept telling myself one more chapter. Highly recommend and I can't wait to see what else this author can do.
