All That We Are by Mariah Stewart is a look into what happens, when ten years after the death of a spouse, you discover they had cheated on you.

For ten years, Emma Dean had lived a quiet life after the death of her beloved husband. But when she found a receipt for a gift that was not for her and discovered that he had a longtime affair, she was heartbroken. It changed everything for her. But it couldn't stop the fact that she had to welcome her inaugural group of artists to an artist residency she had founded. As it turned out there were several souls in the group who had a lot to teach Emma as the months of the residency moved on.

As always, Mariah Stewart creates a spellbinding world in which you can lose yourself, as I did when I got lost on Wyndham Beach with the artists. Thank you to the author, Montlake and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

All That we Are is the third book in Wyndham Beach series by Mariah Stewart and follows Emma's journey discovering her husband's affair after his death.

This was an excellent follow up to the first two books. All of the characters are so compelling, raw, and honest. The relationships between them were both heartwarming and heartbreaking.

Mariah Stewart knows how to write a series that will draw you in immediately. From the beginning, you will feel like you are a part of Emma's life. I thought the story was well written, and that the characters were done correctly.

This book is the third in a series, but I haven't read the previous books and was able to connect with the characters easily.
Emma is a woman with a grown son and is a decade out from her husband's death. She finds evidence of her husband's affair, and uses this struggle to invest her time and energy in an artist residency program in the town. Her time is devoted to this effort when her doorbell rings one day and a little girl is at the door calling her Grandma.
This story has heartwarming moments, glimpses into various relationships and shows growth in a lot of the characters.

This is a series I discovered through Net Galley and have enjoyed throughout each book. This is the third and last in series . Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the opportunity. My review opinion is my own.

I love this series for the main charcter Emma is over 50. Thank you to the author for featuring real women with such positivity and zest for life. It is rare to find such a series that features a smart savvy over 50 woman. In this next in series and the last, Emma has discovered that her dead husband had been having a affair. Dealing with the betrayal she takes on her work with artists and the art center she created. Her love for life shines through in her love interest, her strong female friendships and her courage.

A enjoyable read that will make you smile and cheer for Emma as she finds a happy new life. A very nice series that I recommend for all readers of women's fiction that want to read about real women living full lives. Well done to the author.

This was a DNF for me. I was about 1/3 of the way in when I realized that I didn’t care about any of the characters, was really bothered by the stilted dialogue and wasn’t invested in the storyline. I didn't realize when I picked up this book that it's the third in a series and I missed the first two. I’m assuming a lot of my disinterest is due to the fact that this isn't meant to be a standalone story.

Thank you to Montlake and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this emotional, complex, and heartwarming story! This book in the series is Emma’s story, but it’s much more than that. It’s also the story of Natalie and Chris, Maggie and Brett, Grace and Linc, Liddy and Tuck, and of Winnie. It’s the story of making and being a family, and of deep and lasting friendships. I hope we might meet up with these delightful characters again!

A contemporary story and book 3 of a series. We meet Emma an older heroine immeshed in her community A widow of 10 years she finds a receipt that leads her to belive her husband had a long term affair with a co worker. This makes her re evaluate her life, her mariage. She has three close friends to whom she can vent. Emma realises how correct she was in standing up for her son against his father. Her son is a succesful rock star rather than the banker within his fathers firm. There's a young girl that's sent to Emma purpoorting to be the love grand child and this makes Emma consider her values inherited from her pastor father. We hear a lot about her son's girlfriend and how the appearance of Winnie throws her and the unfortunate prejudice that Emma's boyfriend emotes. Ut's all well explained and there is a large cast as well as a villain related to one of Emma's art community. I felt it wasn't so much a romance but a community overview. but I did enjoy it. I like more passion so I won;t be seeking out the others in the series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Such a captivating read. I jumped into the series with this book which can be read as a stand alone, but I will definitely go back and read the first two. I loved that this series centers around older women - it's not something you find often with beach reads. I loved Winnie, she just reminded me so much of my favorite book childhood book character, Matilda.

The title is the first of many things that make no sense about this book. This is the third in a series and it does not stand on its own. There are too many people involved and it’s hard to care about any of them due to the lack of character development. Multiple stories are happening simultaneously, but none contain enough substance to be interesting. Reading this book feels like coming into a movie with just 15 minutes left.

My first Mariah Stewart but definitely not the last! A beautiful book that focuses on family and relationships. It explores the friendship of women in their 50s and their bittersweet journeys. A women's fiction that stays true to its core is always a good read and this one was it.

The book works quite well as a standalone and you don't need a base to start reading this. It was a little slow paced in some areas and took some time to get into but is definitely worth reading!

Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for providing me an eARC in exchange of my honest review.

Another great story by Mariah Stewart! The only thing is I wish there had been more on the romance between Emma and Owen. Being 55 myself, I love that this series is about women over 50 as there is not enough of this. I hope that there is more of these ladies or others in books to come but I’m thinking the next will be focusing on Grace. I do hope Maggie, Liddy and Emma are kept current in that one.

All that we are is the third book in the Wyndham Beach series by New York Times, Publishers Weekly, and USA Today bestselling author Mariah Stewart. It can be read stand alone, although you may like to go back and read the previous two books too!

In this book we get to know Emma's story; how she's trying to find meaning in her life ten years after her husband, a banker in the local town, passed away.

Together with her two best friends Maggie and Lydia, friendships that have stretched half a decade, she tackles what life throws at her.

When some lovely cabins come up for sale in the town, her world famous son Chris secures them for his mother and this summer is the first time she's organising a residential for promising artists. Thankfully her friends are there to help her with all the planning and getting the cabins ready for the guests. An old acquaintance from years back adds some romance to the story.

This was an enjoyable beach read; perfect to disconnect the brain for a few hours.

From start to finish, I never put it down. Her story of a widow trying to make sense of her husbands past keeps you emotions churning.

Stewart's books are always chock full of warm vibrant characters who bring you into their lives.

This book is captivating, revealing and ultimately healing. and full of insight into relationships

What an amazing and captivating book from Mariah Stewart!! I hadn’t read any of her recent books and I am so glad I had the opportunity to read “All That We Are.” The importance of family is at the forefront of all of her books and it is what makes this book so endearing.

Emma is at a crossroads in her life as she had recently uncovered a secret her late husband had kept from her throughout their marriage. She felt deceived and shocked to her very core and was unsure how to process this information. Emma put that issue on the back burner as she graciously welcomed a newcomer into her home. Emma is a very giving person who is a friend to all, and who always thinks of others first. Her son Chris is her greatest passion along with the love of his life Natalie and her precious daughter, Daisy. She doesn’t see them as often as she would like but something tells me that was about to change.

The peaceful seaside setting made me feel as if I was there with Emma as she oversaw her artist’s retreat, helped plan her best friend's wedding and lavished her son and his family with love. I was captivated by the characters and the storyline from the first page and every chapter held surprises, happy days and romantic nights. There are many types of families and all are welcome to experience the special magic of Wyndham Beach.

This book was completely different from what I was expecting. It was nothing that I had in my mind but it was good. The stroy, the plot and how perfectly it was presented. Some moments were so sweet I absolutely adored them. With life we tends to forget how simple love is and how easily we can love someone. It was very very nice and O loved it.

This is the 3rd book in this series and can be read as a stand alone. We are given very detailed information on the supporting characters of this book to help fill in any gaps that the reader may question. I found myself loving this story from the beginning to end. There were several side stories going on at the same time so the story was never dull or lagging.

This story follows Emma, one part of a group of best friends, and her discovery of a secret her husband kept. I wish we could have seen a confrontation to find out more about this, but I can understand why we did not get that. This story focused on moving forward, new love, found family, and deep friendship. It was a lovely read and I would like to read more from this author.

This is the third book in the Wyndham Beach series set in a small coastal town in Massachusetts. Based on a few loose threads in the storyline, I suspect there may be another book in the future. While the series focuses on Maggie, Lydia and Emma, three friends in their fifties, the stories also encompass universal, multigenerational themes within families.

This latest offering in the series features Emma, a widow of ten years whose relatively calm and stable life is shaken with the discovery that her husband had been having an affair for years prior to his death and that her son may have fathered an eight-year-old girl who arrives unexpectedly on her doorstep. Additionally, she has initiated a 3 month residential program for artists, which is stretching her ability to serve as director of an art center. As Emma works through her personal and professional challenges, she receives the support of her two best friends, reevaluates her priorities and allows herself to explore the possibility of a romantic relationship.

I enjoyed the premise of the book and the character development, especially the relationship between Emma and her granddaughter. However, I was disappointed in the pacing, which at times felt glacial due to the amount of repetition of backstory information and of explanations concerning various characters’ viewpoints and motivations. For me this turned completing the book into an endurance exercise that detracted my appreciation of the author’s efforts.

My thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for the privilege of reviewing this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This review is being posted immediately to my GoodReads account and will be posted on Amazon upon publication.

Mariah Stewart's latest in the Wyndham Beach series, All That We Are, unfortunately is my least favorite of the three. I think I've decided what bothers me most....the lack of colloquialisms, using instead formal language between all of the characters constantly. This flaw makes the characters less likable, less believable, and stuffy and snobbish sounding. I think that if the characters would just relax a little, and most especially relax their dialog, the story would have much more appeal and enjoyability.
