Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
Dani’s boyfriend is also her boss and he ends their relationship for someone who is younger than her. She feels that the only good thing to come out of this, is that now she’s able to spend Christmas with her family after so long of not doing so.
Wanting to give her parents a surprise, she arrives in her hometown, looking forward to spending the festive season in Marram Bay, which is twinkling already with fairy lights.
But on reaching her parents house, she sees it’s empty and they are on holiday.
Being home alone and that too at Christmas is not a happy feeling. When Dani begins to meet her old friends, neighbours, and a love interest, she doesn’t want to tell them she’s on her own at home, so she tells everyone that she’s home so that she can hold a Christmas party for the town, with only 12 days before Christmas, that’s not an easy task.
But, as the sham party gets nearer, maybe there will be something special for her under the mistletoe, she needs to bring the walls down that she’s built around her to see who that is…….
I recommend this book.

Bad mood? Read a Portia MacIntosh book… bish bosh bash, happy feelings restored!
This is the fifth book I have read by Portia Macintosh this year. I think she has 25 books either out or coming soon, so I still have a way to go for a full house, but I am on my way.
One of the things I realised makes me love her books is the language and world that Portia MacIntosh has created. If you read her books, you will suddenly know what a Smarty is, or perhaps a Simple Simon if a Smarty is too high tec! Maybe you will find yourself downloading Matcher…. She has created this little world and lets us in through the stories she writes.
One thing I try to think about when I finish a book is how I feel. At the end of this, I felt happy and content with another happy ever after. Portia MacIntosh has the genre nailed. A quick easy read.

This book will make you laugh at loud and wish you and Dani were friends. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this read. Dani was amazing, the only thing I wish is that this book could've been written in dual POV so that I could also get more of Rex. He definitely seems like a love interest who's side of the story I'd want to hear.
This was the perfect Christmas read (even though its over 100 degrees in Texas right now lol) I couldn't put it down and ended up finishing it all in a few hours. Dani, our MC was dumped by her (honestly loser) ex boyfriend and this read really conveys the post break up confidence shake. She definitely appears to be struggling at the beginning of the book and how she was so down on herself did make me a little sad... but in comes Rex, and the fake dating begins.
Do yourself a favor and add this little gem to your holiday wish list cuz its worth it!

I love a Christmas book and all the descriptions and food and silliness and happiness and folk and families meeting up and the little Christmas shop in the village thats open every day of the year and features in every book 🤓 ( even though these shops rarely if ever exist ),(this book even has a Village Jam shop…..)
‘Single All The Way’ has all this and more and has a main character who is unlucky in work and love and then falls in love with the office scoundrel, she goes home to Yorkshire and the appealing sounding Hope Island ( the tides cuts off the village twice a day ) and the normal light chaos, as expected ,follows
And it’s fine, theres a few things that wrangled, the main one being she is ignored at work and treated shockingly and am just not sure anyone in 2022 would put up with this,to the point that the people who sit next to her on a daily basis don’t know she exists…..also the books sets itself up for every fall so you are saying ‘well that’s going to happen if you don't do this’,(and its something we would all to avoid a situation ) of course she doesn’t and so as expected a problem arises
Maybe am looking too much into it,for what it is its fine but not the best Crimbo book read but its light and airy and gives Christmas tingles

I love any books that are Christmas related and Single All the Way by Portia did not disappoint.
In this book we meet Dani, she’s been dumped by her boyfriend who’s also her boss, he’s not only cheated on her with a younger model but now he’s decided to demote Dani too. Her life is on the downward spiral but when Rex steps in and makes her his fake girlfriend things start to take a turn for the better for Dani.
Single All The Way is the perfect festive read, so get cosy and enjoy!
This is the first title I’ve ever read by Portia and I absolutely love her writing style and her humour. I’ll defo be sure to check out more from this author.
Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the advanced review copy of this book in return for a free and honest review.

who doesn’t love a christmas book full of mishaps and mayhem, it’s a book to get cosy with to get you in the mood for the festive season
i was rooting for Dani from the start and she got the ending she wanted even though she didn’t realise she wanted it to start with. A feel good easy read which i read in one day

I absolutely loved this book and finished it in under 24 hours. My husband laughed that I was enjoying a Christmas love story in August- but it was a page turner. Dani and Rex’s romance was playful and fun and I could easily imagine the scenery and shops around them. I will definitely be recommending this to my friends this Christmas season.

My excitement when I received a book by Portia MacIntosh!!!! Yup that made my day!!!
I'll start by saying that it's hard for a romance to make me laugh or smile and this book did!!!!! It totally made me laugh. If you have been following me for a while you might know then that 1 in 100 books make me laugh hahaha well guys, this one was that 1 !!!!!! I found it too sweet and cute and funny !!!! The characters are just so awesome in so many ways!!!!
Do you ever feel super happy when characters in romance books start telling how they feel??? Like you feel like you know them and you melt with their love declarations and all? Hahaa like you're like aww aww aww hahahahaa and almost jumping??? Call me a romantic hahaha but this book gave me this and I love it because it isn't easy for me to be rooting like this for characters!!!!
I'll just say if you like a good romance with lots of sweetness and laughs then go for this one!!!!! I highly recommend it!!! Finished it in less than 20 hours and when I finished it I felt sad, I was like noooo I want more!!!! It was just the sweetest and I love it. A completely feel good read!

This was a very cute story about Dani, who was dumped and is now getting demoted by her ex boyfriend/ boss. I really thought it was a fun, quick read. Things did go a bit too fast for me and things were pretty superficial. I would have liked more details for it to be more believable, but overall I enjoyed it.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinions.

This book is just what I needed right now, I am a Christmas kind of girl and it maybe the beginning of August but I am already counting down to a time when the leaves start to fall. nights get darker and there is always a good excuse to have a hot chocolate with a candy cane on the side. When I got the chance to read another book by Portia MacIntosh, I always jump at the chance and it's set at Christmas, how could I refuse!
In this story we meet Dani, stuck in a job in the same place of work with the ex boyfriend Tom until one day, Rex in the office, kisses her to make one of the other girls in the office jealous. This leads to them starting a fake relationship to make her jealous and in return, Dani asks Rex to consider her for a job that has come up in Leeds so she can be closer to her family. Dani decides to go home for Christmas to surprise her parents and after the office Christmas party, Rex offers to drive Dani to her home on Hope Island, where we meet characters from books gone by. From this, we see their relationship start to grow and I loved both characters. I love the idea of Hope Island, a tidal island off the coast of Marran Bay and being cut off from the mainland at times. Its a close knit community and I just love that.
Dani is alone for Christmas so decides to host a party on Christmas Eve at her parents house, will this all go to plan and what will happen between Dani and Rex, you will just have to read it to find out. I promise you, this book will make you laugh and get you into the Christmas spirit, no matter what time of year it is!

“Single All the Way,” is a cute, light holiday romance that many readers will enjoy as it gets them into the spirit of the season.
Dani is dreading the holidays because her love life is not what she wishes—in fact, she’s been treated very badly indeed. Since her work life and love life are firmly entangled, things look bad on all fronts. Can a handsome, flirtatious (different) co worker make things better? You’ll have to read the book to find out.
The best thing about this book is Dani—once she gains a backbone. I must admit that I was frustrated with the very negative inner dialogue that intermittently takes over in the first quarter of this book. The “embarrassed heroine with no self-esteem” feels kind of old to me. Very aughts. But once Dani begins to see herself more realistically, the book and the real romance at the center of it get a lot more fun.
Getting out of London helps and Dani, a small-town girl at heart, has an eventful, and ultimately satisfying Christmas with a charming beau. And there’s a delightful village setting for much of the book most readers will enjoy.
Like I said, “Single All the Way” is a holiday read that will bring you cheer and put you in the spirit.

3.5 stars!
"Single All the Way" by Portia MacIntosh is a festive holiday story that's light, breezy, and super cute! It will help put you in the Christmas spirit. It's got enough laughs and quirks to keep you interested. Unfortunately, it feels like some of the details are glossed over here and there. It wrapped up way too quickly for my liking. On the plus side, I am interested in checking out Portia's back catalog now because she has such a great, funny writing style!
Thank you to NetGalley, and the author, for providing me with an ARC copy of this book! All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for my review in any way.

Single All The Way was a cute read! I thought storyline was fun and flirty! The story held my attention throughout! Loved the book!

I like me some Portia books. they are all great and good stories. the main characters are the best and love every moment of them.

This was such a festive read full of depth, humour & romance.
Dani was such a quirky character & I loved her so much. Her voice- both internal & external-was fresh, hilarious vulnerable & real. I adored how she handled & accepted everything that came her way.
And the LOVE INTEREST. I mean, nothing would've prepared me for him. I didn't see him coming from miles. Infact I didn't pay attention to the very interaction with him but damn how well that scenario turned out. I absolutely loved their banter, their progress & growth henceforth.
A joyful holiday read that took me by my surprise!!
Thank you Netgalley & Publisher for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

Great read. Set in the North East and London and the Holy Island which I loved. A story of love and lies Pretending to parents, childhood friends, over the top Christmas decorations . Brilliant. A good happy read. Had a perfect ending. .

Single All The Way is a holiday romantic comedy told from the point of view of Dani, a quiet, introverted, thirty-something journalist struggling both professionally and in her love life. After finding her boyfriend, who also happens to be her boss, cheating on her with a young medical student, Dani would love to leave her job writing advertisements for Living' It London.
Rex, the gorgeous American who heads the Showbiz section, is a serial flirt who has charmed every woman in the office, except the new hire, Madeline, and of course, Dani. When an opportunity to join Rex's team to expand the Leeds office is announced, Dani believes it is the answer to her problems. She wants to join the Leeds' team, Rex wants Dani to act as his fake girlfriend in an attempt to entice Madeline by his unavailability, and so a "showmance" is agreed to. They will attend the company Christmas party together before heading north; Rex to Leeds and Dani to surprise her parents for Christmas.
But coming home for Christmas doesn't go as planned; her parents are on holiday, Dani is drawn into the "neighborly" rivalry over Christmas lights, her high school crush and her frenemy are both in town, the Zoom calls with Rex are more personal than professional, and little lies are snowballing out of control.
Told in first person, the chatty narrative tone has the feel of catching up with a friend over coffee and Dani's sarcastic humor and honest self examination add to the enjoyment of the story. Dani's propensity to lie in an attempt to keep the good opinion of others is an aspect of her character that I did not care for.
It quickly becomes apparent that there is more to Rex than Dani initially believes and witnessing his generosity, playfulness, compassion, and willingness to help Dani is engaging to the reader. I also loved the charming small town setting and unique geography of Hope Island.
I recommend this holiday romcom to readers who enjoy a fake dating workplace romance containing only kissing on the page. Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Portia MacIntosh for providing me an advance copy of Single All the Way in exchange for my honest review.

I’ll admit, the cute cartoon cover sucked me in! It may be August, but I love all things Christmas. Bring on the hot cocoa and holiday cheer, I am here for it!
This book was incredibly funny and sweet! Dani is a writer who just got out of a long term relationship with her editor. Yeah, yeah, not her best life choices… She finds herself in a fake dating relationship with another coworker that she doesn’t like in the slightest, so you can gather how that will go. The story follows her dating through the holidays, and all that goes with it.
I absolutely love who she ends up with! He is a typical cinnamon roll with golden retriever energy, which is the perfect ending to a Christmas themed book. After the crazy things she went through, she deserves someone who will make her laugh and is just as into her as she is him.
If you’re ready for a sweet romance that emulates a Hallmark movie, be sure to grab it August 18th!

I absolutely fell I love with this book! Loved it from the first sentence to end! The beautiful romance and relationship that develops between Dani & Rex. Perfect Christmas romance
