I’ve read all of Colleen’s hockey series and the Caldwell brother’s series. I was excited to get the two worlds to combine. While we got a small snippet of the Caldwell’s rival in this one I’m hoping for more in future books in the Venom series. This book define only has more spicy scenes than some of the other books and mild BDSM. The only place I felt like this one was lacking was in how long the two MCs knew each other and both of their history before they jumped into bed. It was like she was saying she was nervous and felt shame over sex and he was saying he was still grieving and not ready for sex and then bam he had her tied up. But the story like was more original than your typical hockey romance with a twist I saw coming but still liked how Colleen made it all come together. Overall solid book and glad we are getting a new team in Colleen’s hockey world.
