“We’re in this together” is a beautiful memoir by Linda Sarsour illustrating the hardships and difficulties she went through as a hijabi Muslim activist in the US.
She beautifully narrates the struggles of finding her identity as a Muslim Palestinian and navigating her way around that during her childhood to dedicating her life to educating people to stand against discrimination and becoming an activist.

Her stories were truly heartwarming and by penning the experiences of minority groups readers were educated on the extent to what people have to endure.
It’s an unflinchingly told collection of stories navigating her life as an activist and should be a requirement for young readers! It forces the reader to ask themselves what they want to be in this world and reminds them of the uncertainty of life as well as to never take anything for granted. She talks about how her parents moved to the countries for the “American Dream” and how as she got older she began to take notice of much more.

Throughout the book Sarsour also provides insightful information like Islamic holidays and values that may have been unknown to some readers and always adds helplines and additional information when talking about specific topics.

Overall, this book was very touching to me and the reality that is always shown was heartwarming. I highly encourage all readers to read Sarsours books and follow her incredible work!

Linda Sarsour is an inspiration and she uses her platform to support underrepresented groups and to fight for individual’s rights. This is a great book for teens to read, especially those interested in grassroots organization, activism, and political change.

This book is great. Linda described the problems faced by the immigrant Muslims in United States in an effective way.
Her struggle to fight for rights of Muslims in America is very inspiring. I personally learnt many things from this book.
Although I might disagree with one point in her book.
But overall this has book influenced me a lot, in a sense to fight for your basic rights no matter wherever or how weak you are and to never give up on hope.

I don't usually like memoirs but this one hits differently!! Just to be frank that I enjoyed the whole book, I adore how the author narrated it. I love every single letter she pointed at. I learned a lot about how is Muslim life going in America through this book, starting from her past and now.
I now know more about the conflicts that happened to second-class people there.

I have no regret at all for giving my time to this book!! Thank you so much to the author, and Netgalley for approving this book.
