My feelings are the same as the first book: Mixed feelings; it was fun and well paced but there were parts I just felt like I had to skim through as I wasn't entirely invested
I really enjoyed the first in this series, so I was keen to read this one. It didn't disappoint and I might even have slightly preferred Tara and Trevor's story...?! It takes some skill as a writer to make a Trevor such an appealing and attractive character!
Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand I really did enjoy it. But I missed Crystal. Tara reminded me a little too much of myself and I couldn't help but cringe at her antics. Nonetheless I did love this book and I loved getting a look at the bookish world (I think I got this copy from Netgalley and just haven't read it because I didn't have "Set on You" at the time).
Exes and O's tells the story of diehard romantic Tara Chen as she revisits her ex's in an attempt to find The One.
What Tara doesn't realise is The One might be closer than she thinks...like her hot room-mate.
This was a cute read that I enjoyed immensely. I have immediately started reading The Catch. I love how fully fleshed these characters are. If you're a fan of cute romance books, give this series a try. These books can be read alone but I feel like you get the best experience if you start from "Set on You".
Omg Amy Lea's second novel lives up to the hype of the first. Tara was the typical bookstagrammer character, something I'm sure a lot of us can relate to, so she obviously decides to document her search for a partner by going through her exes. Trevor, her roommate, the swooniest fireman is very conveniently available to help with this, from making sure she doesn't get stood up to giving dating pointers. Of course they're not going to fall in love!
I'm the last person to call somebody crazy, but the red flags in this book literally blinded me🚩, the main girl for 85% of the book dates OTHER PEOPLE, THERE WAS NO CHEMISTRY, SHE LITERALLY GOT MUGGED IN TRAIN CUS SHE THOUGHT SHE MET HER SOULMATE
It's a cute read. Sometimes, the slow burn romance books aren't my pace, but this one just was too adorable. I enjoyed the bookish instagrammer aspect more than I thought I would.
I really enjoyed this romcom from Amy Lea, which features a heroine who is a book influencer/reviewer and just a cutie. So many book refs like little nuggets in this one. Amy's writing is engaging and lighthearted but she still delivers the feels. Thanks for the Netgalley ARC received from the publisher. 4.5 stars!
Absolutely adored this book and couldn’t put it down. It was such an easy read and perfect for some beach reading. Cannot wait to read more from Amy.
What a fantastic read! I loved this book and read it in 1 sitting! I loved the palpable chemistry between Tara and Trevor and how their relationship developed throughout. I loved the link with bookstagram. Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend

This book has been my biggest surprise of the year so far. It was PURE JOY. I have not smiled so much reading a book since reading Heartless by Elsie Silver- its so funny, the characters are so relatable, I enjoyed every single page
This book follows Tara, a bookstagrammer, hopeless romantic who is looking for love. She wants a real life second chance romance so makes a list of all her exes to go on a date with them again. Helping her on her quest and recover from the disastrous and hilarious dates is her new tattooed, firefighter roommate.
Tara is hilarious, she’s quirky, she scares men away with her declarations of love. She’s never been allowed to be herself with her exes but she has no barriers with Trevor her roommate.
We all know how this book was going to end and it’s a slow burn that is worth the wait. Highly recommend. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and now I’m desperate to read her debut novel Set on You
I enjoyed this book, especially the aspect of Tara being a bookstagrammer. It was a nice connector, as someone who also talks about books online as a hobby.
While this book is the second in a series, I never felt I'd missed something having not read the first one.
But there were a couple of things that didn't work for me. Sometimes the chemistry between Tara and Trevor felt off. Overall the book was way too slow burn for me, and when we finally got to the sex scenes they were a little clunky and awkward.
There were also a HUGE number of pop culture references in this book, which I don't always appreciate. They can date a book far too quickly.
unashamedly giggling, kicking my feet and blushing reading this book!
Amy Lea is undoubtedly one of my favourite romance authors - constantly balancing the tension, joy, serious and humorous throughout all of her novels… Exes and O’s is absolutely NO exception! I would HIGHLY recommend!
After dnf’ing the first book Set On You I won’t be reading this. I do not like how the make love interests are written and the fat rep was not very body positive so I will not be reading anything else by this author
Love love love this. Its a perfect romance read again by Amy lea!
I now have a special edition of this too and artwork on my wall of Tara and Trevor 😍😋
I'm not a big romance reader but I really enjoyed this book. I would love to read other books by Amy Lea.
This was such an interesting read! I found myself so engrossed in the story, the characters had such incredible arcs, and I can't wait to follow this author's journey!
Walking in to find the potential love interest getting it on with an attractive redhead is probably not a scenario you'd think would happen in a romance novel, but the scene perfectly describes the kind of relationship Trevor and Tara have. Think friend zone, I'll help you fine the one, turns into feelings kind of set up. And Tara and Trevor have such good chemistry that this all comes off as believable and fun too. They're polar opposites in many respects. Tara is messy, in her living space and in her relationships, while Trevor is closed off emotionally and unwilling to commit. It's the slow burn of their relationship, the slowly realising that they have feelings for each other but not wanting to ruin the friendship they have that makes this so good. And cute.
If there's one thing I want keen on, it's the social media aspects. Much like it's predecessor Set On You, Tara is an influencer, this time a bookstagrammer. Although this is pretty cool, I'm just personally not a social media fan in books. I want an escape from the medium that seems to be taking over everyone's lives, not read about people obsessed with followers.
Small gripe aside this was well written and fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously but still delivers on a believable romance.
Fun, easy, and delightful read from start to finish.
I read this book in one sitting, and am looking forward to reading more from this author.
Amy Lea has done it again! I loved this book and read it in 2 sittings! I loved the chemistry between Tara and Trevor and how their relationship developed throughout. I loved the link with bookstagram. Overall a book I recommend!
This was a really cosy interesting read with great descriptions. I like that the protagonist uses her Ex, rather than just embarking on dating apps. The cover is visually appealing while being unique in the sphere. This is sure to be a hit!
