A stirring tale about a 21-year-old hunter and a centuries-old vampire. Ivy Moore, the main character, experienced a lot of hardship in her early years. She loves her paralyzed twin sister despite the fact that she doesn't like her. The night of the car accident, which claimed the life of Ivy's father, left her twin sister paralyzed, and caused Ivy to watch their mother leave them, everything in her life changed. Her sister vents all of her anger and grief on Ivy, who just puts up with it because she feels bad that she survived and is "normal." One night, she is chased by weird looking creatures and rescued by a wolf, who is a vampire lord, Crispin, who tells her that she’s a hunter of those creatures. She realizes her life is so much more than she thought. Crispin is the local vampire lord who takes Ivy under his protection and trains her to fight and protect her from more attacks. Realising she is his mate, Crispin does everything he can to protect her from a threat closer than he realises.
The story is amazing. The story line has a fairly smooth flow and is very well written. It has a strong female character, and I loved the chemistry between her and Crispin. I am looking forward to reading the second part of the book. I would recommend this book.
