I absolutely loved this team and the stories they told as they solved crimes. The author weaved many facts concerning the border police and political events. I hope the author continues to build upon this series.

I love the setting and the quirky characters of this series. And it would be well worth if the author invested more into their writing and eliminates the weak points.
There are two main issues first the story development and story telling, second the proofreading. The story is not fully fleshed-out and esp. the end is more like a sketch. It starts with an information dump on the crew although shortly into the story there is ample opportunity to introduce each one to a friend where the crew is settling in for the duration of the case. The proofreading is still very much lacking (my favorite was someone fluent in romantic languages, sigh).
