The first Laurel Snell novel kept you on the seat of your pants with the suspense that was scattered throughout the book. The second book picks up and also takes you on a suspenseful journey where Laurel is trying to protect her newly found mysterious and dangerous half-sister while staying away from a killer. This book is intriguing and keeps you guessing throughout the story. Everything is written so well and if you love crime Procedural shows you will love this book. I was sad when the book ended and I’m looking forward eagerly to the next book.

Wow! What else can I say about this book? I thought You Can Run, the first of the series, was fantastic. This one surpasses it.

FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow is back in her hometown of Genesis Valley after a brief time in Washington, DC. There’s a serial killer on the loose and his target is highly intelligent professional women. Laurel’s half-sister Abigail is a likely target.

Once again Laurel is paired with Agent Huck Rivers. There is an undeniable chemistry between the two of them. When his ex-fiancée shows up, it creates tension between the two of them. Not only that, Abigail claims interest in Huck.

Readers will see familiar characters and new ones are introduced. I especially liked Nestor, who is not your average computer geek.

Zanetti throws in clues to keep the reader guessing the killer’s identity, and it wasn’t until the last few chapters of the book that I figured it out. While this book wrapped up with a satisfactory ending, the author left some things open that I hope will be addressed in future books.
After all, “What’s the likelihood of two serial killers working in our small Genesis Valley within months of each other?”

A solid five stars from me.

Good mystery, interesting that Laurel, the lead FBI agent is neurodivergent. She brought a different type of problem solving to the genre. She struggles with relationships with her clearly narcissistic sister, her mixed feelings about Huck, a Fish and Wildlife investigator and her Mom.

I enjoyed the story and would look for more in the series.

This is the second book in this series, can be read as a standalone but there was some background that I felt was missing that would have helped me connect with the characters.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

5 outstanding stars for this 2nd book in the Laurel Snow series by Rebecca Zanetti.

I truly didn't think the last book could be topped, but Rebecca once again has proven me wrong and reinforced why I will drop anything to read her books.

This book had me guessing until about 70% in when I realized who the killer was... or so I thought. Spoiler alert... I was wrong!!

Laurel Snow is back to her home town in Genesis Valley to investigate another murder which quickly becomes evident there's another serial killer on the loose. What are the chances??

Alongside Laurel is the intense Huck who understands her on a level most people don't. Her intelligence and pedantic memory usually intimidates everyone she meets.

It seems like a new task force is becoming a reality and I'm looking forward to how the next book plays out and how far Abigail will go to get Laurel's undivided attention.

If you are looking for a gripping psychological thriller, a book that will have you on the edge of your seat and looking over your shoulder with every noise late at night, this one is for you!

I’m loving Laurel Snow. This is the second book in the series and it has me hooked. I love her uniqueness, you never know what will come out of her mouth and no one knows how to take her.
Captain Huck is a very like able character as well. Love watching the two interact with each other and solve the mystery.
This one is packed full of emotion and suspense. Thinking that I do not like Laurels sister. Almost wish that Laurel would just kill her. Maybe she will change but I'm only sensing her starting more trouble.
Many thanks to Netgalley for the chance to read and review this one.

FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow is again embroiled in solving a murder with Huck Rivers, of Fish and Wildlife in Genesis Valley.
This is the second book in the Laurel Snow series and it does not disappoint. Not sure at first, if they have a serial killer on their hands, but it soon becomes apparent that the killer stalks a certain type of woman as the murders mount.
All the players are connected and could be the killer, but the author kept me guessing. An excellent ARC that I received through Netgalley and the Publisher, Kensington Books. The comments and review are my honest opinion.

Thank you NetGAlley and Zebra books for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this story, just as much as the first book. It kept me engrossed and guessing until the end. I love Laurel Snow as a character she is so unique and interesting and a refreshing change.
The ending of this book left me really intrigued as to what will happen in the next book. Can't wait to read it!

Wow! Great mystery and continuation of the series. Yes it can be read standalone. A mystery killer killing women brutally and leaving black dahlias. Laurel is back investigating with Huck. Her creepy sister is involved as well.

I don’t want to give a lot away, but this book keeps you invested up until the ending. Zanetti knows how to write a good suspense novel with some romance thrown in and I am here for it! Can not wait to see what happens with Laurel and Huck next!

Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti is the second book in her Laurel Snow series. FBI profiler Laurel Snow and Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers have another serial killer to track down. This one goes after professional women and kills them viciously. Laurel and Huck have plenty of suspects and not enough clues. It was fascinating following along with this investigation. There's lots of action and suspense. I really like Ms. Zanetti's voice and look forward to more books written by her.

The second book in the Laurel Snow series held me completely captivated as FBI Agent Laurel Snow and Fish and Wildlife officer Huck try desperately to catch a serial killer who leaves flowers as a calling card next to the dead bodies of his victims. The action is fast-paced and increasingly creepy and Laurel and Huck rush to crime scenes, always just a little too late. The victims are professionals who are extremely intelligent so Laurel has to try to reason out who could get close enough to them to kill them. Laurel’s really clever sister Dr. Abigail Caine is mixed up in the plot that includes a great many red herrings and some total misdirection. The plot is fast-paced and brilliantly executed with complex and tense moments. This is an addictive and propulsive thrill ride all the way to the fascinating conclusion. This was a book that was hard to put down in spite of the graphic details of the crime scenes. There was also a bit of relief occasionally when Laurel’s mom Diedre came on the scene with her medicinal herbal teas that apparently the killer needed to be drinking. This book includes a fascinating character study with cleverly written clues and intense action.

I devour this series and like book 1 had to read it in one sitting. I cannot give the book its just due with my untalented verbiage, but here goes. Book 2 - You can Hide just expounds on all the fabulous creepiness from Abigail, the broody , ptsd former sniper Huck -a-licious ( I am sorry I read that and it stuck) and our intrepid, brilliant FBI with the eidetic memory, Laurel Snow. Lets not forget Hucks dog too. The creepiness from book 1 (You can Run) the world building, the characters we connected with in book 1 and gravitate to even more in book 2 are laid out between the pages that intrigue us, the suspense when bodies mount and the twists when its revealed who the guilty party is - which has its own twist - WOW - just WOW. In addition to all this we connect more with our secondary characters as we learn a little more about each, Laurel's mom, Hucks Boss, Laurels team. They all help round out this intense, thriller that delivers it all. You can read book 2 as a stand a lone, but I don't recommend that. Thank you for the arc! I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. #youcanhide #laurelsnow #rebeccazanetti #kensingtonbooks #zebra

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books for the digital ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. This was the first book I'd read in the series. Laurel Snow is an interesting character. She works with a Fish & Wildlife officer, Huck, to solve a series of murders committed by a serial killer. I wasn't sold on the relationship between Laurel and Huck. Maybe I would have been if I'd read the first book. However, I did enjoy the mystery and the twist at the end.

Rebecca Zanetti has the ability to capture my interest from the opening line in her books. Laurel Snow, FBI agent, genius, and a meticulous investigator, once again finds herself embroiled in a hunt for a serial killer. Searching alongside her is Huck Rivers a Wildlife Fish and Game Captain.
Laurel is faced with too many characters and too many suspects and all roads lead to nowhere. Her "not quite an FBI office" has a new addition, Nester Lewis, a computer guy and recent graduate of Quantico.
While highly intelligent, Laurel doesn't understand innuendo, or sarcasm, or even subtlety, which makes it hard to have a relationship with someone. Huck gets her and he is also a person on the peripheral. A loner by choice, he has a hard time with his friendship with Laurel but they talk it out and are honest with each other and they are better because of it.
In the last book Laurel discovered that she has a half-sister Abigail Caine, who is just as intelligent as Laurel but is a more manipulative and predatory. Her role in recent serial killer activities, (her half-brother was the culprit), always has Laurel and Huck wondering just how much she knows or if she is as innocent as she wants them to believe.
This story has you guessing, and it was nice to see all of the previous book's characters, both good and bad.
Zanetti has a great ability to keep you in suspense, and I never find any lulls or boring chapters in her novels. Excellent read!

So what do you do when a sociopath loves you?

A great addition to this series although a bit of a slow burn in the beginning as the mystery sets up. There are twists and turns but what makes this one really good is the chemistry between FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow (Temperance Brennan-style) and Huck Rivers, Fish and Wildlife Captain, as they work together tracking down a serial killer in Genius Valley. Rebecca Zanetti is bang on with their personalities and it's easy to really be invested in the two main characters. Laurel and Huck work well together and seem to be forming a trust in each other that is leading to love. Another interesting character is includes Abigail, Laurel Snow's half sister who is equally as smart as she is. Is Abigail hiding something? She definitely plays a victim and a suspect well. What is she after?

Can be read as a standalone but start with the first book and enjoy the ride! I highly recommend reading You Can Run before you read You Can Hide.

I'm obsessed and ready for the next book in this exciting series! Don't miss it!
Thank you Kensington and Netgalley!

As with book 1 - You Can Run - I was completely and utterly blown away. I am 110% loving this series. Lots of suspense and intrigue in this addictive thriller, as FBI profiler Lauren Snow teams up (again) with Fish and Wildlife Captain, Huck Rivers, to try and catch yet another serial killer in Genesis Valley. Again not for the faint hearted, there are some really gruesome scenes, very descriptive and twisted as you get into the psychotic mind of the killer. I love the dual points of view in the story, it completely fits with the story, enabling the reader to catch glimpses of many of the character’s inner thoughts without giving away too much. The vibe between Huck and Lauren adds to the story, not too much romance in the romance department, but just enough to keep me hoping and wishing for a relationship between them. Kept guessing to the bitter end, lots of surprises and lots of emotions whirling round throughout. I sure hope we get more from Laurel Snow in the not too distant future. I received an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This is book 2 in this thriller series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were plenty of twists, turns and red herrings that kept me completely entertained. The characters are continuing to develop and I look forward to watching them grow more in future books. Ms. Zanetti is one of my favorite authors in multiple genres and she does not disappoint, ever. Highly recommended.

FBI Agent Laurel and Fish & Wildlife Officer Huck are brought back together when a woman is found battered to death. They both think that this killer is not done yet. It looks like the killer might have their sights set on Laurel’s half-sister, the very intelligent and twisted Dr Abigail Caine. There are a lot of possible suspects and while they are trying to work out which one is guilty the murders keep happening. The killer is focused on very intelligent women and when they don’t provide what they are looking for their rage takes over. Laurel has a brilliant mind, but is not so great with people. Huck has a very protective nature, but is not a fan of being around people but they both seem to understand each other and make a great team in work and out. Considering how both of them are loners I loved the team dynamic they managed to create. I can’t wait for more of this series.

I requested this book from NetGalley as I had seen Rebecca Zanetti,s cover blurb for this book and was interested. I did not realize this was book 2 in the series, but found I was able to keep up with the different characters without feeling like I was behind in knowing who was whom. The Pacific Northwest backdrop was interesting and I am hoping further books in the series will continue. Laurel Snow is the FBI Agent in charge. She and her recently assembled group of staff will be interesting to follow. I am hoping for another book in the series.
