This is a complex, twisty story with a lot of characters. The first couple of chapters were a slog of trying to keep all the characters straight in my mind but the writing is so compelling that it keeps you reading. The story has layers of mystery with paranormal elements and a touch of romance. There is a lot of action and once you get the characters figured out, it is hard to stop reading. You want to find out what the next event is. What the next secret to be revealed is. The epilogue and notes at the end give even more insights and undisclosed information to the reader.

This book was part of the Wicked series. It had a lot of characters to keep track of and I was confused sometimes. Maybe because I hadn’t read all the previous books, I don’t think it works as a stand alone. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers book.

I read all by Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush but this one was difficult in the beginning. There were so many grammatical and technical errors I am thinking this had to be an uncorrected copy.
This is the final book of the Wicked Series and takes place at Sirens Song - the townspeople think the women who live there are a cult. These women, sisters who are ruled by their aunt, all have special abilities. Another child, a male Charlie is evil and wants to kill all of the women of the family. The women want to make sure he dies first. One daughter Ravina, who moved out of Sirens Song and became a PI also wants to destroy “Charlie” and decides to enlist the help of Detective Nav Rhodes to help her. Both discover a mutual attraction. Lucky is a cousin of the women and she wants “Charlie dead also. Her life goal so far has been to rid the world of perverts who pray on children and she's been very successful but now her focus is on killing Charlie.
If you are following the Wicked series this is a must-read. It can be read stand-alone. Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books for this advanced read.

I am a Lisa Jackson fan but it has been too long since the last book of this series and I was lost for much of it.
Ravinia Rutledge’s phone number and the words “Next of Kin" are found pinned to a dead body. Ravinia insists she doesn't know the man but Detective Nev Rhodes doesn’t believe her and he is right because she does. Five years after moving away from The Colony, Ravinia has carved out a life as a private investigator whose specialty is helping others locate their missing loved ones. an old enemy, Charlie, has merely been waiting, preparing to fulfill his mission to rid the world of the Siren Song women. Detective Rhodes is a rules guy, but there are forces at work here that defy law and order. They work together to stop a killer from wiping out The Colony. This was a very weird book.

I will leave a review on Amazon and B&N on Dec. 27th

Wicked Dreams by LIsa Jackson and Nancy Bush, takes place in Oregon, and is centered around a group of women that have special powers that for the most part have kept themselves apart from the people that live local. The book is a fast paced thriller with lots of suspense. I had read a previous book surrounding these women so I was kind of aware of the back story. This book goes into more detail, and it kept me turning the pages until the very end. I would recommend this book to others.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and Kensington Books in exchange for an honest review.

Wicked Dreams by Lisa Jackson
The final book for the Wicked/Colony series by Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush there was a lot to keep up with so many characters and their stories. I enjoyed getting to the end of this series. I enjoyed reading and reviewing this book.

The story itself is good and I enjoyed many parts.. Having said that, the large amount of characters is very overwhelming and hard to keep track . I don't view this as a "stand-alone" novel as it ties in to two book series and maybe if I had read those, the characters would have come together better for me.

Wicked Dreams by Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush

Siren Song is a remote island off the Oregon coast. This mysterious place is back in the brand new book Wicked Dreams by New York Times bestselling authors Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush.

Synopsis:
Despite Ravinia Rutledge's assurances to Detective Nev Rhodes, she suspects he doesn't believe her when she claims the man in the mortuary doesn't look like her. Ravinia says she does not know him. The only information pinned to the dead body is Ravinia Rutledge's contact information and the words "Next of Kin." Can Detective Rhodes tell that she’s one of them... "the Siren Song women"? Some call it The Colony, but others insist it's a cult. In the case of women with unusual psychic abilities, it is their secret. Will evil take it all back?

Wicked Dreams is part of a series. Although it was interesting as a stand-alone, it would have been better if I had read the previous books first. The plot is lengthy, so plan on taking some time to read it. Nancy Bush's writing is new to me, but I am a fan of Lisa Jackson. This novel definitely brings adventure to the table thanks to the talented team of authors.

Wicked Dreams is available on December 27th.

Thank you, NetGalley and Kensington Books, for sharing this intriguing novel with me. Your kindness is appreciated.

I absolutely love Lisa Jackson's writing and when I saw this book I had to review it! At first I had no idea this was part of a series, this book was able to be read as a standalone with out any issues but I cannot wait to get my hands on the other books! A body is found on a remote island with a simple note pinned to the shirt with a phone number and next of kin. When the next of kin is called they deny any involvement with the deceased. Buckle up for a great thriller after that!

Thank you Netgalley, the publisher and the amazing authors for my ARC !

Siren Song was meant to be a haven to a group of women with special abilities. A place providing protection. But, to some, it was more like a prison. A few escaped and live mostly normal lives on the outside but maintain a connection with those remaining. However, someone evil is bent on destroying them all and won’t stop until he succeeds. There have already been a few deaths. One of these deaths brings former Siren Song resident Ravinia Rutledge to the attention of local law enforcement, namely Nev Rhodes. Ravinia knows Nev doesn’t believe her when she denies being able to identify a body that had her phone number written on a note, along with the words “Next of Kin”. She hopes to solve the problem on her own but realizes she just might need Nev’s help after all.

Can the remaining residents and those who have escaped unite to defeat this monster or are they all destined to die at his hands? A thriller with a touch of the paranormal and murder, lies, hate, revenge, twists, turns, suspense, danger, and more.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The final book for the Wicked/Colony series by Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush ties everything together nicely. The story involves the family of sisters that live in a lodge in Deception Bay that have supernatural abilities. The story starts off with a body found on the beach of Echo Island with a note pinned to the chest with next of kin and number. Ravinia Rutledge is listed as the next of kin and when the Detective Nev Rhodes asks her about the identity of the body she denies any knowledge. She is so used to keeping the family secrets that she is afraid to share even the identity of the body. This story continues with the family being stalked and attacked by another family member who had been hiding away for years. Wicked Dreams brings all the characters over the series either together or at least mentioned. The problem is that the cast of characters and their relationships together is very confusing if you didn't recently read the other books in the series. I definitely wouldn't recommend this book as a stand alone novel. I did enjoy the book but I think I would have enjoyed it even more if I had reread the previous books in the series first.

Lately, I have been on a bit of a mystery/ suspense kick and I needed this as the last three books I had tried which were a mix of romance/ suspense have been DNFS and blah. I was excited for this book as I hadn't read a Lisa Jackson in years, as about 10 years ago now I went on a Lisa Jackson kick after just discovering her mysteries and she became one of my authors-to-read. Then, of course, you know how it goes in the world of bookworms with new authors popping up every day. I was on the fence about this book though as it was good enough to keep persevering yet at times, I wanted to give up as I felt like I slogged my way through this one. It was a slow-burn read. The book starts with Declan Bancroft Snr confronted by Charlie and then two bodies turn up dead amongst others as there are a lot of funerals in this book. We learn that there is an island in Deception Bay where a colony of females lived under the watchful eye of their Aunt Catherine and each of the female’s aka Siren Song has special paranormal/ supernatural abilities. This book has everything from romantic suspense, murder, and paranormal and supernatural aspects. Someone is hunting down the colony and wants the townspeople of Deception Bay/ Echo Island to pay after casting him out and now it's up to Ravinia Rutledge to band her sisters and a few extras together to stop him once and for all. This book is part of a series, but the way it was written was easy to follow and can be read as a stand-alone tale. If you are wanting an easy read and you don't mind the slower pace of fiction tales, then Wicked Dreams by Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush is the read for you. The theme of the book reminded me of authors like Abbie Roads and Christine Feehan.

A dead body is discovered on a deserted beach with a note pinned to his lapel. On the note is a telephone number and the words ‘next of kin’. The number leads to private investigator Ravinia Rutledge who claims to not know the man but she does. And she knows his death can only mean danger not only for herself but for the Colony, a mysterious island haven for a group of women with mysterious powers.

I requested Wicked Dreams by Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush because I have enjoyed books by both authors in the past. However, I didn’t realize it was actually the last in a connected series with a dizzying array of characters and references to past events meaning I spent much of the book feeling lost and not a little confused.

Still, it was well-written and I enjoyed it enough to finish it. I have no doubt for those who have read the other books in the series, it makes for a satisfying ending to the story. But for those, like me who are entering thie story of the Colony just as it’s ending, you should know, this definitely cannot be read easily as a standalone.

When I requested an ARC of Wicked Dreams, I didn’t realize it was part of a series – I just liked the title. Jackson does a good job giving the backstory details so I had no issues keeping up with the story.
There are a whole host of characters introduced in the beginning. Keeping up with all these was a lot, but I feel it added to the mystique of the book. It made for an engaging read trying to figure out who the killer was.
Part thriller and part paranormal, I would recommend this read.
Thank you NetGallery for my ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley, Kensington Books, Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush for an ARC of Wicked Dreams. I have read each book in this series and love them. I find the special powers that the main characters have to be one of the most interesting parts of the book. The story was a fast paced thriller and full of suspense. It was fun trying to guess where and who the killer was in the story. I highly recommend reading this book and the books in this series.

I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and Kensignton Books and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.

Synopsis: Siren Song is the home to a group of women known as The Colony. Nowhere is safe from the man who has marked them for death. The note pinned to the dead body found on the remote beach has no name, just Ravinia Rutledge's phone number and the words "Next of Kin." Ravinia doesn’t know the man, Detective Nev Rhodes does not believe her. Five years after moving away from The Colony, Ravinia has carved out a life as a private investigator whose specialty is helping others locate their missing loved ones. Despite Ravinia's reluctance to team up with Nev, it's the only way to stop an adversary determined to see that each and every member of The Colony will die at his hands . . .

My Thoughts: This is part of a series from the queen of thrillers, Lisa Jackson teaming up with Nancy Bush; even being part of a series, I had no issues keeping up as the story progressed. Siren Song + Deception Bay = a good thriller. There a a host of characters in the first few chapters, sometimes it be overwhelming, but as the story progresses, you start to get the hang of who is who. I loved the unusual plot, it kept the storyline very intriguing. This was a rollercoaster read that spoke hatred, deep seated fear, slight paranormal, and a flare of mystery. The characters are well flushed out with depth, mystery, and creatively written. The authors’ writing was complex, suspenseful, twisty, and brilliantly spun. This is scheduled for release right after Christmas, I highly recommend preordering!!

Wow!!! I knew this one was gonna be a good one and once again Lisa and Nancy didn't disappoint! The characters throughout the whole series are just like you and me, except a few have a little more. People all of us would love to know or even be, not to mention the beautiful Oregon coastline. This one was another page turner, a wild roller-coaster ride that didn't let up till the very end and even then you were left wondering.....Will there be more? I'm like many of you and hope there will be, but if not, this series sure went out with a BANG!!!! I highly recommend this one, just like I recommend the whole Wicked/Colony series!!!

Wicked Dreams. What a great title. I requested this book on the title alone, without reading anything about the book. And I really liked it, … I love it when that happens! Also, a couple names in the book I loved were Deception Bay and Siren Song. How awesome are those? This book is part thriller and part paranormal, always makes for a good combo. I thought this book was very well written, and I enjoyed it a lot. Many thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books for this advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
