Two sweethearts face impossible odds during World War I in this powerful story of courage, duty, and heartbreak.

During the summer of 1918, Captain Marcus Weatherford arrived in Russia on a secret mission with a beautiful ballerina posing as his fiancée. His objective is to locate the Romanov tsarina and her son and to obtain information regarding a plot to assassinate Lenin. Marcus's sense of duty battles his desire to return home to Clare, the woman he truly loves, as the danger intensifies.

Clare Danner still feels betrayed by Marcus after learning he is engaged to another woman. Additionally, Clare fears that she will lose her daughter, Daisy, to the same heartless family that took her away once before. Clare's fate--and the fate of the top-secret mission--hangs in the balance when an injury renders Marcus powerless to help.

If you're looking for a story of courage, love and sacrifice then I highly recommend In Love's Time!

Five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

Ooh I really enjoyed this book! I liked that the romance wasn’t the main focus of the story. It was prominent, but there were so many other side stories going on as well. I did peg the bad guy from the beginning, but I liked the added twists that I hadn’t anticipated. Overall, it was a really good book!

In Love's Time was an AMAZING read! I knew from the opening pages that I was going to love this story. It grabbed my attention right away and I couldn't wait to see how everything was going to turn out.

I don't want to say too much about the actual story, as it would be easy to spoil it and I don't want to do that. I will say that it had me feeling for the characters and what was happening. So many emotions!

All in all, In Love's Time was a fantastic read and I loved it! I highly recommend reading it after [book:Not by Sight|23411528] as it features characters from that novel.

“In Love’s Time” was a masterpiece of prose and plot twists. I loved all the characters, except for Natalya -- we hate her -- and I was swept away by the thoughts and feelings they experienced. The complexities of the characters were endearing to read as they learned and grew. I wanted to know the end, but I didn’t want it to end.

I had a hard time getting into the story at the beginning but as I read further I realized how important that exposition was and how it really helps to set up the rest of the story. The slow beginning was completely necessary for this book as the twists and turns are later explained by hints left in the exposition. I love getting to look back at the beginning and see all the hints that help explain the ending. It really makes a book just that much better!

I had no idea this was part of a five part connecting series, but this book was still incredible on its own. Though I wish I had read the first four before this one so I could see more of the main characters’ pasts, I still felt like I knew and understood them enough to appreciate the story. It can definitely be read as a stand-alone. And now that I know the previous four books are connected to “In Love’s Time”, I will be going back to read them all. Kate Breslin, you have a new fan!

Thank you Bethany House for providing me with an ARC through NetGalley so I could give this book an honest review.

Marcus Weatherford, part of the Naval Academy at Whitehall during World War I. Clare, a single mom, under a widow status, trying to make a life for herself and her sweet daughter. You know how it all turns out.

Of course there are twists and turns and complications to add dimension and layers to the story. It definitely took a different twist than I expected and I was somewhat relieved and conflicted by it.

"Some people don't realize that a person's dignity is inherent to them, a gift from God. And no one has the right to trample on it or dismiss it. Or talk over it."

I enjoyed the book, but it was definitely more of a light, fun, fast read. I give it a 3.5/5 star review.

I loved this book. I loved seeing the main characters work through his memory loss and what that meant for their relationship. I will say, I did figure out the ending pretty early on, but it didn't take away from the book because I wasn't certain how it would play out. Also I really hope we get a book with Peters in it! I loved his character!

In Love's Time is Kate Breslin's newest novel. I love Ms. Breslin's writing as she has a similar writing style to Roseanna White, another favorite. In Love's time is an adventure story with spies and Russians, plots against Lenin, a missing Czarina and her son. Also romance and secrets, everything you need for a fantastic plot and Ms. Breslin ties all of these threads into a fantastic story that keeps you reading until the very last word. So brew up your tea and wrap up in a cozy blanket for a wonderful adventure!

I was given a copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations. All thoughts are my own.

I enjoyed this book by Kate Breslin. I liked how she took us back to WWI and helped us to see what people were going through at that time. I liked how the romance between Marcus and Clare developed. I liked how even after Marcus lost his memory he still fell in love with her again. I thought this story pulled on the heartstrings because you felt the pain that Clare felt as she watched the man she loves be engaged to someone else since he lost his memory. I liked how the story concluded and that things work out in the end. I was defiantly not expecting some things that happened in the story to happen. I thought this story was well written and one worth reading.

I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors.  A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

Captain Marcus Weatherford goes on a mission in service to his country, returning wounded with no memory of the last decade or the woman he loves. With the future of the war and his heart on the line, will he regain his memories before all is lost?

A compelling novel set during WWI, at times a sweet romance and others a thrilling spy adventure. The stakes are high and time is running out. I admired Clare for her courage and willingness to do what she had to to give her daughter a secure life, facing her biggest fears.

One of my favorite things about this story was how Marcus and Clare had a wonderful group of supportive friends and family around them. Fannie quickly became a favorite of mine with her authentic compassion and concern for others.

It was easy to become invested in the characters, as the stakes rose and tensions increased into a explosive crescendo. A compelling novel from beginning to end!

FTC Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book. These are my honest thoughts.

I adored this story! It was deliciously melodramatic and featured a twist on the love triangle trope. This time, it was two women vying for the man’s affections, and on top of that, the guy had amnesia. Talk about intriguing! I liked that the leading lady was a female orderly and caretaker for the leading man. That was a creative way to create forced proximity so they had plenty of time to get to know one another.

The grandparents’ rights angle infused the story with tension, high stakes, and emotional depth in Clare. I love that this added so much richness to her love for her child and showcased how far a parent would go to save their child from being yanked from their grasp.

I’ve wanted to read Kate Breslin for several years and In Love’s Time didn’t disappoint.

This love story is set amid the backdrop of war-torn Europe. A rumor that the Romanov tsarina of Russia is still alive in hiding, sends Naval Intelligence officer Captain Sir Marcus Weatherford to find her. He poses as the fiancee of former Russian ballerina, breaking his girlfriend Clare’s heart in the process.

Clare’s carefully constructed world crumbled amid Marcus’s apparent betrayal. When a wealthy family tries to take her daughter, she agrees to nurse a wounded Marcus back to health in the hope he can help her in return.

Watching the man she still loves with his new woman tears into Clare, while Marcus searches his injured memory to try and understand why he feels so strongly for his carer. This is a complex and attention grabbing read. Well researched and with characters who make you care very much about their outcome.

World War One is a harrowing and beautiful time to journey back to and Breslin does not disappoint. Definitely recommended for anyone who enjoys this timeframe.

Kate Breslin has quickly become one of my favorite authors! This book combines history, romance, and a lot of suspense. The history you learn of in this book is that there was an all-female-run British military hospital during WWI. There is also a mention that women baled hay for the war effort. Lead female character Clare Danner begins the novel as an orderly at the hospital. The lead male character is Captain Sir Marcus Weatherford. Clare and Marcus are interested in each other. She knows that he is military. she does not know that he is involved in espionage. While on a mission, Marcus is injured
and ends up with amnesia. The only person who knows what really happened is a woman pretending to be his fiancée. She is in no hurry to tell what happened. Every character is well developed and there are lots of twists and turns. You can almost hear time ticking away. So good! Read the book!

This read totally did not pan out how I thought it would--which is often a good thing. :) It entirely kept me guessing to the end!

I also enjoyed that Marcus got his own book; he's shown up in several other Breslin books, and fully deserved his own story. It felt sometimes like there should already be a Grace/Jack story in place, and I did wonder if I'd read it and forgotten I had (story of my life, lol)--but in perusing Breslin's other books, that doesn't seem to be the case. So, it seems to be a standalone read with some hints at a prequel being in order!

Loved the Russian-history element, and I even learned a few things about the 1917 revolution (and related summer '18 events) that I hadn't known--shockeroo, in the best way!

Fingers crossed we get a prequel for Grace and Jack; that would make my little fangirl-heart very happy. In the meantime, Breslin certainly has a winner with this book. 5/5 stars.

I received an eARC of the book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

In Love's Time is magical. A story of two people in love. One leading a secret wartime life unable to justify his absences and actions. A woman operative complicates things and gives the wrong impression to the love of his life. The historical details I felt were woven into the story very well.

There are lots of surprises in the storyline, the characters of Marcus & Clare are well-developed and my heart went out to both of them. They both prayed for strength to endure some heart-wrenching circumstances. They were brave beyond their own will.

The faith aspect of the book came through the story well. It is an inspirational and uplifting tale. I hated when it ended. In Love's Time has a sweet romance and is a definite page-turner. I couldn't put it down. Highly recommended.

Beautifully done! Historical fiction with threads of faith woven in. I especially appreciated the fact that this book was a WWI book- definitely not a period of time commonly written about in historical fiction novels.

In Love's Time by Kate Breslin's is about Captain Marcus Weatherford and Clare Danner. It's 1918 and England is at war. Captain Marcus Weatherford is sent on a top secret mission with his fake fiancé Natalya Bryce. While in Russia, he gets shot and loses most of his recent memory. When he wakes up, he thinks Natalya is his real fiancé and she plays along. Clare Danner and Marcus are a couple. He adores her and her daughter Daisy. When he gets sent on this mission, he can't tell anyone about it. Clare who is an orderly at Endell Street Military Hospital witnesses Marcus proposing to Natalya. He can't tell her it's fake and she gets her heart broken. After he comes home from Russia, Clare becomes his nurse to help him regain his memories.
This was a beautiful story. It was very realistic in dealing with how it would be for a person who has amnesia. I got lost in this book and I felt like I was really there during the Great War. There was action. There was espionage and traitors. There was love. Love between a man and a woman. Love between a mother and her child. Love between a family. Love between us and our Savior. I didn't realize there was other books in this series, but they are now on my TBR. Kate Breslin has a way of drawing you in and making you seem a part of this world. I enjoyed getting to know Marcus and Clare. I loved this book. I know I'll be reading her books again! I was given a copy, but all opinions are my own!

This book dovetails nicely into the other WWI stories that Kate Breslin had written. While it can be read as a stand alone, I think it is best to read the books in order, since otherwise the heroine is a bit insufferable at the beginning. That said, I am glad that I stuck with it, since she grew on me. I love the surprises of this story, as well as the question. Can two people call in love a second time?

In Love’s Time takes readers along on a journey of intrigue, sacrifice, and duty as Clare and Marcus navigate their way toward a lasting romance while WWI machinations and personal troubles threaten to tear them apart. This standalone novel is impeccably researched by Breslin (yay for some fascinating real life history! Women-run hospitals and the Bolshevik revolution). Readers familiar with her previous interconnected titles will delight in seeing Jack and Grace (from Not By Sight) as important secondary characters, along with recognizing the hero, Marcus, as an important figure in 4 other stories.

Clare and Marcus are a delightful couple to root for, even through some traumatic and angst-filled situations. I love how Clare brings out the best in Marcus, including his laughter, and as she learns more about his family and early life, her compassion works to give him the benefit of the doubt in a way. (I can’t get too detailed because #spoilers!) And Marcus… his gentleness and devotion are qualities to be cherished, especially when he’s talking of his beloved sister or interacting with little Daisy (Clare’s daughter).

Strong themes of trust are a prominent part of this story and intertwine naturally with the romance. Marcus begins to learn to let Clare in and be vulnerable and Clare, in turn, to relinquish control and place her faith in God to safely direct her way. I recommend this story for fans of WWI drama/romance, or authors like Elizabeth Camden, J’nell Ciesielski, or Roseanna M. White.

Thank you to the publisher for my review copy. This is my honest review.
