Matt Tarpley and Cat's Cafe makes me SO happy! This is just an amazing and sweet and fun and relatable little read! I want and I need more, please!

This comic <33333 Much like Matt Tarpley's first collection, this is wholesome and lighthearted. These comics take on anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem in a way that is lighthearted and gentle without trivializing or making light of those struggles. I just really really love these and there are several I would love to buy full prints of for my walls. I definitely will be purchasing a copy and this will be a new go-to gift idea for friends.

One Cup at a Time is the first collection I've read by by Matt Tarpley. It reminds me of other Andrews Mcmeel published collections - in the vein of Sarah Anderson etc. Its cute, and the art is a fun style, but the story felt a little boring / bland, with a general "self-care" or "instagram" type of aesthetic / vibe. Fun, fast, read overall though.

3 Stars One Cup at a Time by Matt Tarpley is an easy to read, enjoyable book full of quick comics. You can easily read all of the comics at once (it’s that easy to get sucked in) or you can revisit the comics at any time when you need a quick laugh or a pick-me-up. They are funny, sweet, cute, adorable, and about a million other adjectives, and can be enjoyed by just about anyone!

This is the most lovely set of comics I have read. They are so uplifting while being engaging, colorful, and cute. The comics cover some deep topics, but they are still appropriate for all ages. Each character is cuter than the next and they show what it means to be a good friend, and to be there for one another. They are so wholesome and I will absolutely be coming back to the book when I need a pick me up.

(Kiwi with a knife is the best character)

Reading this collection of short vignettes was like being held in a warm, comforting embrace. I can see myself reaching for the book to re-read it when I need comfort and joy. Very wholesome.

Grab a warm beverage and cuddle up with this adorable installment from the Cat's Cafe Collection. My mental health loves this collection, it is so supportive and positive that is makes me so happy to sit and read the comics. Sometimes a cozy comic is just want you need.

This book is over the top adorable, it follows adorable animals that have lots of love and support for one another and sometimes have bad days but try to push through positively.

The characters are all animals with worries or struggles, or are there for support and friendship. There is even a little Kiwi bird that is often portayed with a knife and it is hilariously fun and he is so angry but helpful. It is a series of shorter comics so it is easy to read in bursts or all at once, with easy stopping points. The strips are bright and bold and the illustrations are simplistic but very sweetly done. The main theme throughout is this sweetness, it is an absolute pleasure to read this series. You may really feel seen somewhere throughout the comics, and that is what makes it so nice and relateable. I highly recommend this installment and the last to anyone that needs some smiles in their day or positivity in their life, or for anyone really. It is just such a wonderful read.

Although the cover and title totally pulled me in, unfortunately this one just didn’t work for me .

I adore Cat's Cafe comics. Each of the characters are distinct and while they look like silly cartoon comics they are both real and heartwarming. My favorites, and likely many people's favorites, are Toad, Penguin, Goose, and Kiwi, but really they're all great. This collection features some feel-good comics like enjoying the little things, some advice for when life gets you down, and silly unexpected comics which boils down to a good recipe for a comfort read. Wouldn't it be so lovely to have such a diverse community of supportive friends?

I loved this book. It's short, but very sweet. I might actually buy the hard copy so I can have the stickers!

The drawings are cute and the characters are very expressive. I love the lubshark, who is always sharing love with friends, even though life is sometimes dark and scary. I also loved the grumpy toad, who may not actually be grumpy, but who can tell? I related to all of the characters, which is something that I love in a book, even - and sometimes, especially - if things don't end on a happy note for everyone.

It's a quick read, but worth the time. Take some self care moments to read this book!

5 stars - I loved it!

This was another wonderful collection of Cat Café comics. I love this comic and how it focuses on mental health. It shows that it's ok to have bad days and that being a supportive friend is important. I want more Cat Café comics now.

Where do I start? These short stories were everything. The illustrations are amazing and the dialogue is funny and heartwarming. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I felt seen and understood. Seeing the different scenarios and the adorable characters definitely gave me a boost of serotonin. My favorite adventure was "Far from home" , I could relate to Rat so much.

In my opinion, both children and adults will love this graphic novel. I can't wait to read /show this to my former host kids. I know they are going to love it.

I received a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review

4.5 stars.

Just like its name, One cup at a time, the book follows its theme throughout the various journeys of different talking animals who would make you fall in love with them.

I had a very good time reading through this graphic novel and coming forth of different characters’ experiences and how sweet, and supportive others are around them. These little animals made me want to have them as friends in real life but that is not possible is it? or I’d switch them up with my real-life ones.

The colours in the book are warm and sometimes according to the mood of the event, overall they make you comforted and would brighten up your day. The illustrations in the book are lovely.

It is emotional at the same time being light hearted.

If you want to have a table book, consider having a look at this one.

I’d love to suggest this book to people who are trying to navigate their mental health and relationships and want to see how to see this in positive light easily without pressurising themselves.

This is Matt Tarpley’s second book and I loved it as much as I loved the first one. I adore this book, his art, and his characters so much.

This book has been focused upon mental health and life affirmations, along with lots of cuteness, adorableness and softness. In this book, all the characters are going through something and they are finding ways to cope. I love that how everyone wants to help each other. All the characters are such nice friends to one another and are very supportive. They would do anything for each other. They are always there for one another, helping each other and cheering each other up. I really loved all their friendships, it was so wholesome and heart-warming.

This collection is more heart-warming than funny. But there were times when I laughed and I like the author’s sense of humor. This book is basically filled with positivity and tells us to be kind to one another. It was also quite relatable and uplifting.

I love all the characters so much, but especially Kiwi! He is my favorite. But I also love the others very much as well. Everyone is so adorable and unique with their own quirks and characteristics. And Geese! Oh my god, Geese is my favorite as well. I wish there were more Geese scenes!! All the characters are so adorable and cute. Hyena has a duck soft toy, how precious! I seriously cannot express how soft and precious all the characters are.

In conclusion, I will say that this book feels like a warm hug. It is a perfect book to read when you are feeling low. This is the perfect book to read when you are safely tucked inside your favorite cozy blanket. I cannot recommend this book enough!

Kiwi is me, I am Kiwi. A little bird with a knife holds my heart in its feathery ... hands? paws?
This comic book is what I needed as a pick-me-up.
Goose might be my second favorite character. Looks can be deceiving!

I love how positive that book is, making sure to remind you that hard days will be over, and that taking time for yourself is important. These adorable illustrations make this comic book so much more lovable.

Overall, this cozy world of Cat's Cafe proves to be relatable and comforting. You will find yourself on these pages and that will make you feel understood and less lonely. Is it what fiction is about?

These comics are downright adorable. Extremely sweet and wholesome. Many of the comics also deal with anxiety and how to cope with it, so if you struggle with anxiety you might find extra comfort from this book. Really cute, relaxing read that will probably cheer you up if you need it!

I picked this book for it's cover. It a cute collection of comic strips with cat and other critters going about their day to day. It is a real look at mental health and the importance of friendships and about taking it one day at a time. It's an adorable book and a big reminder to everyone reading it (and struggling to get through the day) that they are not alone.
