"Kiwi what is it you have there?"
"A knife."🔪
"KIWI, NOOO!"

I laughed and awwwed so much h through this collection. I loved the breathing moments to discuss how you can be sad and it's okay or mad and it's fine. It was so well put together with the funny moments. I need to own this collection, just because I love Kiwi and Fox so much! The FOX USES ASL!!!

Highly recommend for just a good simple sweet book!

This is my first time encountering Tarpley's work so I went and checked out Cat's Cafe first before reading One Cup at a Time. What a pleasant and charming follow-up! I adore the animal characters so much. They are funny, loveable, and supportive about real life issues like mental health, disabilities, relationships, while learning that it is okay to take things slow. At the back of the book, there is a space where readers can write down their thoughts and feelings which is a thoughtful and tender touch to this collection of web comics. A perfect gift for everyone who needs gentle reminders about life.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

One Cup at a Time by Matt Tarpley is an absolutely adorable collection of webcomics. The mostly nonsequential comics are about a bunch of cute animals, including penguins, snakes, and birds. The comics are, at times, cute, and at times, funny. According to the description, the book goes beyond typical cute animal images, because it "handles real issues like relationships, self-esteem, and mental health through a tender, positive lens,"

Overall, One Cup at a Time is a cute comic collection that will appeal to fans of Sanrio or of Tiny Titans. One highlight of this book is how it often talks about mental health. This is a very inspirational book that is sure to brighten anyone's day. Another highlight of this book is when the book goes beyond the webcomic format and includes several pages of sequential stories. I enjoyed those stories most of all. If you're intrigued by the description, I highly recommend that you check out this book when it comes out in September!
