I’m not sure what I expected, but I was bored. I didn’t really hear David’s voice when reading it. I don’t really have much to say. I could see buying the book with the fun colors and layout would be much better than reading it on an Ebook.

Everything from Hosting a dinner party to getting ready for your next sales pitch, Fold in the Cheese is a cute silly way for fans to connect with Schitt's Creek.

As a fan myself I enjoyed the illustrations and references to the show. However, I do not see myself actually taking any advice or making recipes from this book.

This is a great gift for anyone who loves the show and wants a good giggle.

Thank you NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for providing me a copy of Fold in the Cheese!

Calling all Schitt's Creek fans (it's me I'm the Schitt's Creek fan). This book is the perfect gift for everyone who loves and misses the show. It is a recipe book and a guide to hosting events (eg. movie premier, game nights, backyard BBQs, and many many more) rolled into one. The tone of the instructions reminded me so much of Moira's incredible vocabulary, and the eye-catching illustrations are like *inside jokes* between the reader and the Rose family (I mean that cinnamon bun picture = Johnny, Ivan, and Twyla???). Lastly, the cherry on top for me is the "Disgruntled Pelican" cocktail--absolutely excited to try this recipe with my friends. Overall, Fold in the Cheese is the perfect stocking stuffer or holiday gift for those who are big fans of Schitt's Creek!

This is a lovely, funny book for all fans of the show. The writing tone makes this book and the illustrations and recipes are all a fun bonus. I see this as a great gift this year for many fans of the Schitt's Creek - which aren't we all?

Unfortunately this wasn’t what I was hoping. While the recipes are fun and it has tips on entertaining, I wanted more from the show. Book definitely would have been better if the show Schitt’s Creek was present.

Schitt's Creak is one of my favorite shows, so I was very excited about this book! It did not disappoint, it is hilarious and entertaining as well as having fantastic recipes. Thank you NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

If you love Schitt's Creek and party planning, you need to get this book!

Mixed in with party ideas, tips, and recipes are references to specific moments on the show and I absolutely loved getting to remember those funny anecdotal details, especially in reference to parties gone WRONG on the show. It also absolutely triggered my rewatch of the series for the 4th time this year! I would love to buy this, as it is gorgeous and would be so fun as a coffee table book, a book to display in the kitchen, and a party planning guide.

This is a cute book for any Schitt's Creek fan. I did feel like some parts were trying a little hard to be funny or have a Schitt's Creek reference, but overall this was a pretty good book.

Schitt's Creek is one of my all-time favorite shows and this little book is just as fantastic as the show. Not only is it hilarious and entertaining in its implementation of some of the most memorable episodes, quotes, personalities, and moments of the show, but it is also insanely practical: with a guide to plan just about anything, from family dinners to town wide events to grand openings to birthday parties to bachelorette trips, etc.... Not to mention the fantastic recipes. This one is priceless.

Run, don’t walk, to pre-order this event planning book!

That sounds boring, I know. But this book is smothered in all things Schitts Creek! Fold in the Cheese is filled with tips, tricks and how-to’s on every party. Especially the ones thrown in Schitts Creek barn such as backyard barbecues, sales schemes, baby showers, grand openings and so so much more! There is overall basics on the events and more personal tips too. There is also a recipe in every section and there is Schitts Creek references everywhere! There is something in here for everybody. The author loves David, relates to Stevie and has a cat named Moira. I’m obsessed!

Thank you NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

I am a huge fan of Schitt's Creek (seriously watched it too many times to count) and will jump at the chance to get inspired books/merchandise etc from the series. The cover for Fold in the Cheese as well as the title (one of the funniest scenes in the show for sure) immediately made me excited to request this book, and as a fun it was full of really fun tidbits related to the show. Definitely one I would recommend to someone who loves the show!

I recieved a free eARC so I could read this book. Thank you for the opportunity.

I picked up this one on Netgalley because I enjoyed Schitt's Creek. And this bookmis exactly what you would expect-a series of in-jokes and references to the series, combined with recipes. Fans of the series will likely enjoy it, making it a good gift book. Is it an earth shattering work of literature? No. Is it enjoyable? Yes.

There are multiple references to alcohol and a few to drug use. Realistically, anyone who has watched the series have seen similar. I would not shelve it in a school library, but I might take it for the faculty game of Dirty Santa at the Holiday party.

During the pandemic, Schitt’s Creek saved me from endless WFH days. The 20- to 30-minute episodes forced a perfect break in my day that gave me the energy to keep going in my rat-race job. When I saw the title of this cookbook, I knew I had to take a look.

As a daily home cook, this book is just plain fun to read. Each chapter of this book focuses on one type of entertaining (e.g., backyard barbeques reminiscent of Roland, movie premieres for the likes of Moira, and a few game nights as well). Each chapter provides 2-3 pages of humorous advice on how to prepare for each occasion, then concludes with an on-theme recipe or game.

I think this book is meant to be a more entertaining coffee-table read rather than a true how-to guide. The recipes are super simple, using easily-procured ingredients, producing delicious standards (e.g., mac and cheese, pork sliders, burger sliders). The most complicated recipes were some drinks that required less common ingredients like plum wine and passionfruit-flavored vodka and the cinnamon roll recipe which requires proofing and grunt work. The directions for creating the dishes were straightforward, though they did not spend any time elaborating on how to perform certain techniques—a mac and cheese recipe that tells you to “fold in the cheese” but STILL doesn’t explain how it’s done. Seems like a missed opportunity for sure. In a dessert recipe, it tells you to Google how to rig up a double boiler.

As for the game night instructions, I found them to be hit and miss. You can’t truly host a murder mystery or escape room with a quick half-page of instructions. Having hosting these parties myself, I found myself giving David-level judgement. Other games were straightforward variations of beer pong, Taboo, and the diaper game.

That being said, this was a fun read with great illustrations, and something I would definitely buy for my Schitt’s Creek loving friends to feature on their coffee tables.

I received temporary access to an advanced reader’s e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

YES- just YES!!! For any fan of Schitt’s Creek this is a must! Not only goes it sprinkle in some classic holiday celebration ideas, but it throws in some Alexis like holidays as well. I will say that if you are not a fan of the show, you will miss quite a bit of the humor in this book, but nevertheless the illustrations, party tips, and recipes that are included are worth the read! I will definitely be purchasing this book when it is out and I already have a list of people that I will be gifting it to 👍🏼
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

This was a great, light-hearted, funny but usable advice book for throwing almost any type of party you can think of. The Schitt's Creek references were perfect, enough to be relevant, not so much that it was overdone. Unlike many of the "prim and proper" party guides, this one is actually usable for the average person, especially a person with a sense of humor.

If you are as big of a fan of Schitt's Creek as I am then this is a must have for your collection. I can just hear Moira saying I can't teach you everything David!
