What a wonderful, thorough guide - not just for beginners. This is the book I wish I’d had 40 years ago when my interest in crystals began. Rock and crystal photos are clear and detailed, and the author’s personal notes and history make learning even more enjoyable. I’ve already pre-ordered and encouraged two others to do the same.

If you have ever been interested in crystals this is the book for you. My favorite little part of this book was the use of crystals in history. I had no idea.

There is tons of information on how to use crystals properly as well as taking care of them. I found this book extremely informative.

Crystals and stone healing is something I've taken an interest in recently and Rachel (Author) has wrote a great book with The Ultimate Guide to Crystals: The Beginner's Guide to the Healing Energy of 100 Crystals and Stones.

As someone who is new to this, only read a few books on the subject and only just starting out on my Reiki journey this book is something that's not only helped my knowledge of healing with crystals, but is also something I'll be using for reference in the future time and time again. The images in the book are clean, concise and beautiful. Rachel writes of her own personal experiences from a history she explains early in the book. I found her words comforting as she described her own problems which led her to a healer and how she over came those at the beginning of the book. This book is isn't just about crystals and their meanings (Although that is in there in abundance), but also different practices you can try. From crystals and their healing nature, to powder grids and even settings intentions for your self and others. I also enjoyed the section on healing animals and crystal pendants, something I had never thought of before.

Although aimed at beginners, I feel more seasoned pro's would probably find parts of this interesting. This is a book I feel which would suit a beginner but (Like myself) then be used for reference almost like an encyclopaedia. I learnt a lot reading this beautiful book and feel it will aid me well on my crystal journey. A solid 5 stars, this book is short but full of useful information on the subject.

This amazing, colourful book is packed full of so much knowledge! From caring for your crystals to using them to heal in a variety of ways, and even a colour-coded guide to identify and differentiate your crystals. Each crystal has a large colourful picture to identify it and also lists its coordinating chakra, zodiac sign, and much more. Although I have some knowledge of crystals, this takes it to the next level and will serve as a wonderful reference guide.

Just a few of the endless ways to use your crystals include:
• Repel negative energy
• Balance Hormones
• Relieve insomnia
• Overcome depression
• Stimulate memory
• Ease headaches
• Protect from EMFs
• Encourage feelings of love and compassion

I love that not only physical healing is included but also spiritual and emotional healing as well. There are even several sections devoted to the well-being of your pets and how to incorporate crystals into their lives.
I am so happy to have stumbled upon this book. I cannot wait to get my hands on a hardcover!

I have a slight crystal obsession. This book is wonderful for anyone who takes interest in crystals or someone who wants to learn a little more about them. I found it to be very informative and the information is accurate. I'm a teacher, and I plan to purchase a copy of this book for my classroom. I'm sure the kids will love it.

A nice reference for a number of different crystals. I like the bright clear pictures. Seems like it would be good for a beginner just getting into crystals.

I have a crystal obsession. I thought since this book was marked as beginners that I would not enjoy it as much as I did. This is the book I wished had existed years ago. It's beautiful. The photos, the research that went into it...just everything.

I loved it so much that I'm preordering my paper copy.

Pros: I love to read the books published by Quarto Publishing Group because they always teach me something new. I volunteer with college students, and they are very into crystals--I, however, knew nothing about crystals and could not join in their conversations. I also have seen a lot of tiktoks of business owners filling orders of crystals, and I didn't understand why some were so sought after or why the shapes mattered. This book was a great introduction to crystals, and I feel like I have a good basic understanding so I can discuss them with the students and understand what people are buying on tiktok. This book was much more detailed than I expected (which is a good thing!), contains fantastic lists and charts, and has beautiful, colorful photographs throughout.

Cons: None that I can think of. I can see how this book will not be for everyone as not everyone "believes" in crystals, but I think it's a great introduction for people wanting to learn more.

This is an excellent book for every person who wants to learn or upgrade their knowledge of crystals. I loved the illustrated pages with photos and information about every powerful crystal, I even learned a lot of new information about them. For a person that wants to learn how to recognize, and keep them, and everything connected to them, this is a good start. I even learned about a few crystals that I want to have in my personal collection

Perfect for anyone wanting to start to use crystals, understand them more or just want to learn a few different ways of using them more. I would say it’s more of a beginners guide or how to than the ‘ultimate’ but that’s not a criticism, it’s a really well produced and written guide to everything you need to know about crystals. It’s well presented, wonderfully divided into really useful sections such as choosing a crystal, what types, formations, what crystals are best for what purposes and different meditations to practice for these. It’s got bright colourful pictures to represent all the examples, it’s a really good all rounder and I’d definitely recommend for anyones personal library

Good book on crystals, with a lot of information and a guide to crystals and their properties Also includes areas for using crystals in meditation, yoga, Reiki, and other means. Some of those mentions were a bit sparse, and I would have liked to have seen more info on crystal grids or even some sample ones. But all in all, a concise and informative book on crystals.

Whenever I read a very unique book from the publishing team, all I keep thinking about is how wonderful this team is and I would love to work with them seeing how organised every book's presentation is. The efforts. I keep seeing the efforts made by everyone involved.

Kudos to the author, the photographer as well as the team for bringing up a book full of amazing information on crystals.

The guidebook starts with the very basic information on what crystals are and provides the best information on these with their importance and uses.

Also, there's a very good chapter on nine ways to use the crystals according to our needs. There's another chapter on the seven chakras with their corresponding crystals which I find really helpful.

Eleven short but really informative chapters, I would definitely recommend this guidebook. The best on crystals so far!
