This relatively short middle grade chapter book tells the story of Lola and her pet cat, who is actually not a cat at all, but really is a skunk! Full of hilarious antics and silly adventures, this book is sure to capture the interest of its intended audience. The illustrations are colourful and silly, but are relatively small and aid in the telling of the story. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I really loved this children's book, which is so quirky and funny, and easy to read. It is about a girl called Lola who gets a new pet cat, who turns out to be a skunk. Lola is hilarious, and her adventures with her pet skunk made me laugh so much.

The author of the book has so much talent, as she has created a funny and unique story, and she has wonderfully narrated the audiobook, as well as creating eccentrically funny graphics for the ebook. The audiobook has so many awesome sound effects, and Michelle's voice perfectly portrayed each character's voices.

I am sure children everywhere, as well as adults, will love this book, and have so much joy reading or listening to it. It gave me a good laugh, and it really brightened up my day. It was so uplifting, and I recommend it highly!

Many thanks to the author/narrator, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

My Crime-Fighting Pet Skunk Audiobook by Michelle T. Green was a really Fun book to listen to, especially as my nephew loved it and it was great to follow with the Ebook. Blech! is Lola’s new pet cat and he stinks!!! So she gives him a bath and discovers the shocking truth. Her “cat” is a smelly pet skunk! lol.
But Lola is one smart cookie, and she quickly realises the power of having a skunk for a pet. Together, they set out to fight crime in Lola’s neighbourhood, with hilarious results.

Lots of laughs were heard from my garden - Best sound ever listening to you little nephew laughing out loud. Now my nephew wants a new pet!!! Not a Cat or a dog! but a Skunk!!! Phew! I'm so glad we can't get these in the UK! Explain that pet if I could get to his Mum!!!!! But, what fun he would have if he could! lol!

This book was Fun..........I highly recommend My Crime-Fighting Pet Skunk. Loved it.

I enjoyed the fast pace of this book and believe that it will engage young readers very quickly. The choice of an unusual pet skunk will no doubt get young minds interested very quickly. It’s a quirky, fun read! Never thought of a skunk as a hero but there’s a first time for everything!

This is the story of Lola, a clumsy little girl, who works odd jobs and saves money so she could get a special cat she had seen earlier at the pet shop.

What she gets is actually a smelly skunk.

What follows is a tale of the adventures the two of them have fighting petty crime in the neighborhood.

This was an ARC.

I thought it was a great looking cover with such great creative art work. The skunk was so funny looking. I love how the cat turns out to be a skunk and how she uses it to fight crime.

Let me start This review by saying Lola who was so excited to get a new pet that she has begged and saved for, for over two years is as clueless as Amelia Bedelia and the book is as funny as the funniest knock knock joke. She goes to the pet shop after school looking for the white cuddly kitten she has been wanting to buy unfortunately all she sees is this black angry looking kitten and it even tries to bite her but when the sales lady tells her it’s a rare cat and that she would be the only one to have it she begrudgingly gets it in names it’s spike. Now this is when I really started laughing because we get the story from spikes point of view and he’s not happy at all! Here’s spike was a scrappy little skunk Who could Rome wherever his little heart desired, to being captured in a pink fur lined carrying case being carried by a little girl who has more clots than stealth. I don’t know what age this book is for, but I am almost 50 and I couldn’t stop laughing it is so funny especially spikes point of view. I highly recommend this book if you just want something to lift up your spirits are you love a good laugh Mike Crime fighting pets God is definitely the book you should read. I loved it! I received this book from netGalley and I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

There were elements I enjoyed about this book - the main character, her clumsy traits and the skunk and his internal dialogue. My 8yo thought the title was hilarious.
However, the book itself felt clumsy, especially at the end where I felt it finished quite abruptly. The religious element did not connect to the storyline for me ad felt contrived, although I'm sure that was not the intention.
I think this book has huge potential and I hope it is developed as I think it could be a great comedy read.

I did not like this book. It needs a good editor. There are leaps in logic, words used incorrectly, and an incredible lack of internal logic. Even the basis plot doesn't make sense.

This was an odd one. I was expecting something more in line with a Dogman type graphic novel. The illustrations look like basic clip art. The beginning of the story was very confusing in terms of the plot line.

The fast pace and unusual animal choice will certainly make this popular with children. I love the clumsiness of the main character and feel sure that this is something that will also appeal to many readers.

Funny and different idea for a book. It was quite fast paced. i think my kids will like it and I loved the faith aspect! Would have liked a different costume for the skunk... Very interested to see if there are more in this series, to see where it goes. Thanks for a new series to watch for, for kids.

My son who is ADHD loves audiobooks, and anything with crime and fighting and SKUNKS it's a 7-year-olds dream.

The story was cute and fast-paced, and the audiobook was great and kept his interest. I didn't care for the sound effects in the audio but once again, I am not the target audience and my son LOVED everything about this!

If you don't have the audio file, this book was super cute and humerous. It had cute little illustrations.

I can't wait to see more from this author.
