This was a wild ride! What an adventure! I was on my toes the whole time! I felt such an emotional connection to both Aiden and Theo and my heart broke for Aiden! It was an interesting take on a reality tv show and the tension was done so well!

The Amazing Race with vampires and only one…coffin? Say less!! Though this can be read as a stand alone I HIGHLY recommend reading Forever After first. You will want to know what happened and how it happened in order to get a better understanding of what is going on behind the scenes in this book.

I did get a strong sense of deja vu beginning to read this book, but that is where the similarities between Forever After and Night Race end. This book takes everything about its predecessor and amplifies it in the best ways and with the emergence of a “big bad” and the epilogue’s teasing of what’s to come I am officially fully hooked on this series!!

Theo’s backstory was unexpected, heart wrenching, and so good. I loved how simultaneously fearless yet hollow she was and the life, joy, and purpose that she found by the end. I loved how her story brought so much healing to Aiden as well, and watching his character gain so much boldness, confidence, and strength was absolutely perfect. They were both strong, broken, and determined characters on their own, but it didn’t compare to the strength and healing they found in each other. There seemed to be slightly less spice in this one compared to book one because MUCH more happened to further the plot of the world in this story, but what spice there is was SO good!!

All in all I am so excited for the next book and I can’t wait to see our heroes and heroines team up to take down the mastermind behind all the death and destruction. Theo is a vampire who wants to be human, and Aiden is a human who wants to be a vampire for revenge. When a television show called "Night Race" pairs them together, they must win to get what they want.

This was an original concept of a vampire reality show, filled with action and danger. There were twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. There's great chemistry between Theo and Aiden. I followed the book along easily without reading the first book, but I'd be interested in reading the full series.

The writing felt a little complex at times, and there were some things that fell short, but overall I still liked this.

loved the world building , as well as the characters, ki d of give me the vibes of an old vampire TV show I use to watch called Forever Knight where the main character was a vampire and wanted to be human again. Will I go on with the series, yes .

I found this book interesting. I loved the world building and the characters Theodora “Theo” Nash and Aiden Archer. I especially like the contrasting reasons why they decided to be a part of Night Race, the vampire wants to become human and the human wants to become a vampire.
Truly lovely book.
Would I read more from Asley R. King? Yes, after this book I am interested in reading more by her. Would I continue the series? Yes, this was a roller-coaster of a fun ride. I really wished I had read the first book although it's not necessary.
