Thank you, netgalley for my advanced copy of this book.

Finlay Donovan is back at it! The 3rd book in this series had me laughing out loud and also kept me on the edge of my seat.

This one was equal parts super enjoyable to read and equal parts stress-inducing with the types of shenanigans Finlay and Vero got into.

Overall, super entertaining and I always recommend this series to people!

I love Finlay and Vero! This book picks up from where the previous left off. You do have to read the other books in the series to fully appreciate this book. Be prepared to lose a few hours when you start this one as I really didn't want to put it down. Their antics lead them to some more problems. I laughed so many times when reading this book. I read the book too fast and now am chomping at the bit for the next one. I love all the characters in this series. I'm totally invested in things working out for Nick and Finlay. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved the first two books in this series. This one…I was bored. I hate to say it. I love the characters, but this one just felt like it had a lot of filler. I will read the next one, obviously, but I was kind of let down by this one.

As this is a third book in a series I won’t go into much detail of the plot! As it’s a series that follows from the first book until this one.

This is the third book in the Finlay Donovan series and it was just so fun! Mystery, murder, humour, dark jokes and a great cast of characters it was so great to be back in Finlays world. Some moments it’s goofy and ridiculous but that is one of the reasons I love this series.

I enjoyed this fun mystery and it was such an entertaining read. I think this was my favourite of the three books so far. I highly recommend this series if you are looking for an entertaining murder mystery read!

Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun by Elle Cosimano
The third book in the Finlay Donovan series picks up with Finlay on a mission to track down the unknown assassin, who is rumored to be connected to the police, that we met in book 2. Finlay and her sidekick Vero join a week-long citizens police academy that is run by the enamored Nick Anthony. As always, Finlay struggles to balance motherhood, her ex, writing her next book, her possible love life, Vero and her issues as well as trying to stay alive and track down the bad guy! A worthy addition to this fast-paced and humorous series. Recommended.

Finlay and Vero are back and their life is still in utter chaos. Surprise surprise.

The romance in this one is fun and I’m glad Finlay is finally getting the man she deserves. But overall this was my least favorite in the series. It was OUT THERE. I found it hard to suspend belief and go along with all that was happening;.

The series can get quite repetitive and I couldn’t quite remember what had happened in the first two books if I’m being honest. Which was kind of to my detriment.

Also the people want more Vero!!!!

Dating. Diapers. And dodging bullets. Who said single moms can’t have fun?

I was sent this widget and was so excited to receive it even though I hadn’t read the first two books yet. However, I managed to get through both books before reading this one and I am so glad that I did! While I do think that it could be read as a standalone book because it did provide some background to previous events, I feel like it is much better to read all the books in order to get the whole story and appreciate everything that Finlay and Vero have been through together!

I absolutely LOVE this series and like I previously said, I read the first two books in like 1.5 weeks to prepare for reading this one! I love the shenanigans that Finlay and Vero get themselves into and they always manage to make me crack up while reading. They are a pair of friends that I would love to get to know and spend time with because there would never be a dull moment! If you enjoy chaos, suspending reality for the most part while reading, and accidental mischief then you will definitely enjoy this one!

So much fun! This was my first Finlay Donovan book and I’m already looking forward to more. Elle Cosimano writes an engaging, quick, delightfully humorous mystery. I laughed at the witty humor and the current social culture references sprinkled throughout.

Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for a free E-arc in exchange for my honest review.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Finaly Donovan series and this is no exception. It has a good mix of adventure, mystery, humor, romance and relatable frustrations amidst a fast paced action packed story. I did feel that this one had a slower start than book two and we focused less on her writing career, but I love and love to hate our cast of main characters particularly Finlay and Vero's friendship. I have a lot of questions at the end of this story, but it is clear that there will be more to the story. Let's see what kind of trouble and misunderstandings they get into next time.

Elle Cosimano's delightful character Finlay Donovan returns in Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun. This novel is the third installment in Cosimano's Finlay Donovan series. Finlay is a published romance novelist and divorced mother of two young children. Along with her children's nanny Vero, Finlay accidentally perpetrates crimes and then tries to solve them. Cosimano's creates memorable characters and writes with an undercurrent of humor and this is what makes Finlay's world so enjoyable. Will romance blossom between Finlay and hunky detective Nick ? Can Finlay help get Vero out of trouble with the loan sharks? Reading Finlay Donovan is like connecting with an old friend. It's great to check in and make sure she is okay.

I’m going to start by saying that I wish I’d read the first two Finlay Donovan books before I read this one. I was not aware at how intrinsically the books are connected, and at times I was confused and it was hate to keep up. I did, however, get the gist of the story, and I was entertained by the shenanigans that Finlay gets herself into! The story was fast-paced, suspenseful and breath-catching, with the humorous parts taking some of the edge off. Perhaps because it was the third book, I had a hard time keeping up with all the characters, which sometimes made my head spin. All that being said, I was still entertained, anxious to find out how it all turned out! I think those who read the first two books will enjoy this installment. If you’re interested in this story and new to the series, I recommend that you read the other two books first.

Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun by Elle Cosimano

Great fun from start to finish, this mystery romp has us following novelist Finn as she finds herself involved with a murder, attempted murder, and dismembered body. Sidekick and housemate Vero adds to the organized chaos.

This story will leave you wanting more as the girls join a Citizen’s Police Academy hoping to find a possible perpetrator nicknamed Easy Clean.Under the guise of researching for her in-progress novel, Finn and Vero end up in all kinds of mischief. Cosimano has a knack for writing amusing and interesting characters.

I’ll give my first Finlay Donovan book five stars and suggest this book for all readers who enjoy an engaging story. My thanks to #StMartinsPress and #NetGalley for this ARC.

Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is the third book in this hilarious series by Elle Cosimano. Finlay and her accountant/nanny, Vero, are back and battling some unfinished business along with managing two young kids and love interests.
Finlay and Vero are still on the hunt for EasyClean, a character from the previous novel. Thinking this person may be a cop, they sign up for civilian police academy and have a wild week learning about police work and hunting for their suspect.
Is this realistic story? Not at all. Will you laugh out loud? 100% yes! This series is so much fun - I find the characters endearing and engaging, the plot moves well, and I always want to read more. This series is well outside of my usual genre (horror) but it's the perfect break and the perfect beach read. I can't wait for more of Finlay and Vero!
Thank you to Minotaur Books and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for review.

3.5
I fell in love with Finlay Donovan with her first book. I felt like someone like me could almost fall into her position. I mean I drive a minivan, once had babies with a diaper bag and sometimes talk too loud while at lunch with friends where someone could overhear us talk about the "dead body".

In this book Finlay and Vero get themselves into one predicament after another. To be completely honest, Finlay really should cut ties with Vero, she seems to be the main problem! Luckily for readers they stay together to get themselves into and out of sticky situations.

While this book was cute, fun, witty and charming, I am finding that what was once original beginning to feel repetitive by the third book. I do think this one redeemed itself after the second book, but if the series continues, I think I'm satisfied to end my relationship with Finlay with this book.

Thank you to St. Martins Press and NetGalley for the advance e-book.

Peanut butter and jelly. Mac and cheese. Finlay and Vero. Some things just pair perfectly together and Round 3 with this dynamic duo did not disappoint.

Feliks may be behind bars but that doesn’t stop the fact that Finlay owes him. She’s still on the hunt for EasyClean and thinks the contract killer might be a local officer. What better way to investigate than to join a citizen’s police academy that hot cop Nick is running. What could possibly go wrong????

I was lucky enough to get an arc of the third installment in this hilarious and entertaining series, and as predicted, loved it. Pub day is 1/31 so grab a copy soon and enjoy!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the E-ARC in exchange for an honest review

The opening of this book had me laughing out loud and the fun continued from there. The things Finlay and Vero get themselves into are definitely over the top but a fun time. I was actually a bit surprised at one part of this outcome which I was not planning on. Can't wait to see what these ladies get into next!

Finlay Donovan and Vero will forever be my favorite tag team. Call me Marie Kondo because I love the messes they find themselves in, even if they’re wildly out there and unpredictable. FINLAY DONOVAN JUMPS THE GUN was a great continuation of this series, and spoiler, non-spoiler, I can’t wait for book four! (Please write faster, Elle).

Just like books one and two, Finlay and Vero have found themselves in hot water. With returning storylines and characters, it felt like quite the full circle moment to see a few storylines come to an end. But you know what they say, as one door kind of closes, plenty more have surely opened. For Vero and Finlay, there’s plenty more they can get into.

There were parts of the story that were kind of a drag and found myself thinking hurry up already, but it made sense in the end. My other agitation? I need more Nick in my life!

If you’re invested in this series, you’ll probably enjoy this one as well! And for those who haven’t started the series, make sure you read them in order. I don’t recommend these as a stand-alone.

Big thank you to Minotaur books and Netgalley for the ARC!

Finlay Donovan is back! Actually, she and Vero are back! Lol the ladies find trouble where ever they go, even in at the citizen’s police academy! You would think they would be safe, surrounded by officers, but they aren’t. Wait til you see the shenanigans these gals get up to there.
Full of sarcasm, hilariously wrong situations and a little spicy romance, Finlay Donovan Jumps The Gun is the perfect third installment to a series I’m hooked on. The storyline continues from the first two books, so reading them are a must. But once you do, you’re invested in the characters. This book leaves you with the best cliffhanger, setting it all up for a fourth book. I’m ready for it!
We read the first two books in book club, and everyone enjoyed it. I will definitely be ordering this for the library so we can make it another group read. No other book has sparked so much conversation!! I can’t recommend it enough!!

“…and the next thing you know, we were swapping panties…”

This is another fun installment of the Finlay Donovan series. This series is so much fun and I love seeing all of the trouble that Finlay and Vero get into.

This book was no different…it’s fun with endearing characters that you’ll love from start to finish.

The relationships with the men in Finlay’s life get kicked up a notch and things come to a head in Finlay’s love life…it was fun to see all of that come together.

I can’t wait for the next book and to see what Finlay and her crew get into next!

Okay, I absolutely loved the first two books in this series. That being said, I was so incredibly bored with this installment. I’m so tired of reading about Finlay Donovan and Vero, so I think this will be where I stop the series.

Nick deserves better than Finlay.
