Wasn’t the ending I was hoping for.
I really liked the all of us villains but I didn’t find the ending as satisfying as I would have liked. It felt rushed at times and not as hard to walk away from.
The narration itself was good. I found the narrators just as good as they were in the first book.
The tension doesn’t let up in the final book of this duology. In fact, it keeps ramping up. Like in the first book, the characters are complex, conflicted, and highly emotional. Most of them are in deep trouble thanks to their families, the ruthless competition, tons of twisted magic, and their own frailties and flaws. At the same time, they’ve begun working together and caring about each other, which raises the stakes further. If they don’t break the curse, they all die.
The worldbuilding is excellent, the magic creative and increasingly linked to the characters’ warped family stories. Love, trust, and sacrifice begin to replace the constant ambivalence within the characters’ hearts. And just when I thought they were getting close to breaking the curse….
Highly recommended to fantasy fans who love a complex and powerful human story and a fast-paced plot set in a world of dazzling magic.
This book is amazing. Sooo well written. Gorgeous cover. If you like fantasy or dystopian or action books you will love this. It is right up there with hunger games without being a complete copy. Very original blend of magical, fighting to the death, drama and romance (not in a cheesy make it stop kind of way. It's got something for everyone and I can't imagine someone not liking it.
This book was just as good as the last one! I loved the imperfect characters and their growth. The action and the not so HEA. Highly recommend
All of Our Demise is a solid conclusion to the duology. I enjoyed the pacing and tension but this book seemed to lose some of the excitement that kept me completely hooked in the first. There's a lot more side stories in this one which, I think, slowed it down a bit. But overall, I still really enjoyed it and would recommend this duo
After reading book one All of Us Villians, I found I HAD to read this. Book one felt like it just stopped....didn't end. Just stopped. This book picked right up where that left off and honestly could be read on it's own.
Great plotline. Imperfect characters. Lots of action. And this one came to an end... and not a happily-ever-after end.
Thank you to Net Galley for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
As someone who listens to audiobooks a lot, I’d say I’m rather particular on narrators. I loved that this had multiple and each one had a great voice.
As for the story itself, I throughly enjoyed it. I was so surprised by the turn the romances took and loved it. While I was initially for one couple in the first book it was surprisingly easy to pivot and ship them each with someone else. This was a great sequel and one I plan on rereading again in the future.
I'm not sure how to feel about this one,
I absolutely loved the first book, and read it in record time.
While this book had some of the same energy, I felt it got a bit sidetracked from what I was expecting, which is the Tournament in all it's gory.
We did get that of course, but there was a lot more going on that made the book drag on a bit.
It is still a damn good book and I would still pay to see this developed as a series
”In a different story, would we still have been enemies?” are you kidding.. this line. No but actually I really enjoyed this conclusion to the duology. There were times where it felt a little slow (which makes sense considering it is 500 pages) but overall I think that this was a strong finish. "He loved monster stories, after all, and he was undoubtedly the monster of this tale." This is going to be really specific, but this gave me what I wanted "fine make me your villain" to give. Overall I just really enjoyed this book and was glad that it wrapped everything up.
Great conclusion to the story with an excellent audiobook. The writing is comparable to the first installment, along with the pacing and character development. If you enjoyed All of Us Villains I think you will enjoy this one as well.
Dark Ya Fantasy with morally grey characters. I really enjoyed the characters development in this book. However, this books still had a slow pace throughout. I thought that the narration was good and the ending wrapped up pretty nicely as well.
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for this audiobook for an honest review.
4.5 stars
This was a fantastic ending to this duology. This portion of the duology very much leave the Hunger Games vibe behind but becomes more of a Catching Fire type story.
Time is running out, if they all want to survive then they have to work together to break the curse. Figuring out how to do it is the hardest part but as they chip away at the curse that created the tournament in the first place, you get the feeling that while it is hard, it really shouldn’t be this easy. Of course it’s not, and in the end an ultimate sacrifice is needed for it to end. Watching them come to this conclusion is heartbreaking and not everyone gets their happy ending because of it.
I really enjoyed the story that these two authors told together and I cannot wait to read the next duology that they are writing together.
This book. THIS BOOK. Best young adult book I’ve read in a very long time and an amazing conclusion to this exciting duology. This book is a sequel to All of Us Villains and picks up right as the other book left off. Only this time, the characters will face even more trails and hardships. I loved the character growth and shocking relationship dynamics!
I love this universe and the horrible villainous characters in it. The author did an amazing job with world and character building and I was glad I finally got to finish the journey. The only negative thing I have to say about these books is that book one left you on this great high and book two seems to spend the first 1/3 of it just gaining it’s momentum back. I felt the first chunk could have been edited a bit to get back into the action. But overall I still really loved it. I listened to the audiobook version and really enjoyed the voice narration. They did a great job creating an appropriate voice for each character.

An absolutely epic ending to this duology. I loved the first one and the second did not disappoint. Amazing character development, magical competition, enemies to lovers, and multiple POVs !!!! Thank you so much to the publisher and to NetGalley for the opportunity to read in exchange for a review!
Second installment to All of Us Villains.
After an evident cliffhanger in the first book, I had to know what will happen next in the tournament that will forever change the history of magic within the most powerful families. This game of power and alliances came out to be very complicated yet satisfying. The constant push and pull engaged through intrinsic change in story to defeat a common enemy. As a millennial, I know the allure of popular teenagers, who everyone dreams to know and following every detail of their life. As a millennial, I know very well Gossip Girl and its cultural phenomena. And this is what the book seems to be. Little magic, morally gray characters with sometimes doubtful motives, and constant change of alliances. This what this book was about.
The audiobook itself was very satisfying to follow. Nothing very much stands out from the previous production. The only negative about the series as a whole was the pacing - how come in such a short period of time we go from love to hate to friendship to passion.
this was twisty and super good! I really loved the villain aspect of this book. it was dark while also very interesting. I really enjoyed it.
The ancient tournament filled with blood, magic, and destruction is breaking. Despite the fact that the magical boundaries between Ilvernath and the arena have always held, they now are littered with holes, bringing in reporters to the bloody battle grounds. In the first book of the series, multiple champions entered the arena with the plan to kill each other. One remaining champion would bring magic home to their families until the next generation of champions entered the arena. Only now the champions know that it might be possible to dismantle the tournament, area by area, thus ending the tournament for good. The problem is, unless all the champions work together, the attempts to break down the tournament might just end in one champion winning the whole thing after all.
Book two, All of Our Demise, is definitely in the same vein as All of Us Villains, but there's a more frenetic desperate feel to the book. In the first book we got to see the characters as they prepared. In All of Our Demise, we see the exhausted champions dealing with betrayal, frustration, and the tabloids. For those who have not ready the series, start with the first book. It's like if everyone in the Hunger Games were someone you might be mad at. As with book one, Billie Fulford-Brown and Raphael Corkhill narrate the audiobook with great emotion.
All of Our Demise is available now.
I didn't know what to expect from this book, given that the first one felt like a Goth Hunger Games in the best way possible. But I enjoyed it. I felt like I knew what to expect from this book, and it brought a lot of what I expected. However, it also brought a lot of unexpected plot points and character development I didn't see coming until I was fully in it.
As for the audiobook, I loved
that the narration for each character felt distinct from one another, specially with an ensemble cast like this.
An edge of your seat, riveting story for fans of The Hunger Games. A fitting follow up to All Us Villains. Stunning world building, pulse pounding action, great characters and tension. The narration was very well done and helped me get lost in the story.
