I absolutely LOVED The Fault In Our Stars. When I read the book I was in TEARS! It's so heartbreaking but so beautiful. I loved the characters and the story.
I love this book. It’s so sweet and sad. This sneak peek made me want to do a reread of it.
I remember crying a lot when I first read this book, so be sure to have Kleenex on hand.
Love this entire book! This sneak peak made me want to go back in for a reread. such a heartbreaking story of loss and disease.
I had seen the movie but never read the book and I was pleasantly surprised. The writing was beautiful and the characters, two teens who meet in a cancer support group, felt just as real as in the film.
John Green is known for his coming of age novels, and this one does not disappoint.
In the sneak peak the reader gets the chance not meet the two main characters of The Faulting our Stars. It's angsty and immediately captivating. As a reader it gives a gritty look into the darkest parts of being a teenager with a terminal illness.
This is the kind of book I recommend to the general young adult reader, as well as a select amount of adult readers. People who enjoy contemporary novels will also enjoy this one.
Thank you PENGUIN GROUP Penguin Young Readers Group for the ARC!
This sneek peak of The Fault in Our Starts by John Green is a great read. I enjoyed revisiting the young love story of Hazel and Augustus. Their love was so innocent and sweet and you only wished they had more time together. John Green tells the story perfectly with no detail to spare.
Really enjoyed this sneak peek of The Fault in Our Stars! I remember reading it years ago, but I enjoyed being back in the world and can't wait to re-read! John Green's writing is emotional and vivid. I love this heartbreaking and hopeful story!
I remember reading The Fault in Our Stars for the first time when I was younger. I enjoyed it a lot even though it made me incredibly sad. I believe it may have been the first book I read that fell more into the romance category rather than fantasy. I enjoy it, and it was nice to be reminded of it through this snippet.
A beautiful and sad love story that should've made me cry much more than it did, but the beauty of it outshone the sadness. Hazel and Augustus were dealt a bad hand and yet they made the most of it and loved so simply, yet so beautifully. This was one of my favorite reads of it's publishing year. Such a well done story that is both easy and difficult to read. Easy because you want to know what happens next and it's not overly complicated, but hard because of the emotional pull. It is so very sad. But also so very beautiful.
John Green writes the most wonderful emotional books for teenagers. I remember the first time I read this one; it's been such a long time and this sneak peek has made me want to go back and experience it all over again! I love that people are still talking about this book.
I loved the Fault in Our Stars when I read it for the first time years back. I vividly remember trying not to cry as I read it on the way home from school in the front seat of my parent's car. Such a powerful and beautiful story and this sampler brought back all the best waves of nostalgia! This is making me want to go back and reread Tfios and all of John Green's books again.
I absolutely love this book. I remember exactly where I was when I finished it the first time; in the back seat of a car on a road trip, trying to hold back tears.
This "sneak peek" has me wanting to go back and read the whole thing over again.
I can't believe that it's already been over eight years since this book was originally published. In high school, Like many others, this was the first John Green book I ever. I read it over and over ever. Reading this sneak peek made me realize that I should re-read it soon.
I was interested as to why a book published in 2014 had a sampler on NetGalley, I'm still not sure why but reading this sneak peak made me interested into looking into more John Green books. I never read them when they came out/were popular, of course I knew about them and the plots along with seen edits of the movie. I'll be adding the full book to my tbr.
This book holds so much of my heart from my teen years. I reread my copy down to raggedy conditions years ago, and it was truly my favorite. I haven't picked up my copy in many many years and reading this little sneak peek provided was a little look to one of my favorite stories. John Green writes the most beautiful story about Hazel and Gus, who have cancer and what young, pure, and true love is for them.
I have rewatched the movie a few times over the years, but this inspired me to pick up my old copy again.
Thank you Netgalley, Penguin, and John Green for this arc in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you PENGUIN GROUP Penguin Young Readers Group and NetGalley for this sneak peek of The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I read this book a while ago, but it's always good to go back and remind ourselves of books we enjoyed. Here was my original review from when I read the entire book:
Although this book is about kids who are battling cancer, I found it a quick and easy read. Don't get me wrong, I cried a lot while reading this book, but I also laughed. I thought the story of Hazel and Augustus was sweet and liked reading along as their relationship grew from friendship into love. I wanted them to beat cancer, but this book came out a while ago so I was aware that it wasn't the happiest of endings.
I absolutely love Hazel as a narrator, as her thoughts are so simple, yet intertwined with beautiful metaphors. John Green is a fantastic writer and I am a fan of his books. The setting he creates with the youth support group is simple, but beautiful in regards to how they talk about their experiences. This story is just absolutely beautiful.
This was my first John Green novel. Ever since this book i have read 5 more by him. He's my favorite YA author. This book is emotional and full of heart and real life problems. I got sucked in to the lives of these characters right from the beginning. I felt like I was right there alongside them.
I devoured The Fault in Our Stars around a decade ago and fell in love with Hazel and Augustus' story like nearly everyone else at the time. Reading this preview made me want to re-read the whole book and hopefully almost like the first time.
Thank you to Penguin Books, Penguin Young Readers Group, NetGalley and the author for a chance to go back to this book through this teaser.
During my teenage years I read all of John Green's books and I think this is the most profound and touching of them all.
It was one of the first non-children's books I read and it made me shed tears
The story is touching, hard and sweet at the same time .. it makes you see the world through the eyes of a young girl with Cancer.
Hazel knows she has an expiration date and doesn't live her life to the full until she meets August who will change Hazel's way of seeing the world.
