I'll keep this short and not-so-sweet: when the "hero" of a romance novel makes you nauseous, it's not going very well. I absolutely loved The Stopover, and it feels like every one of Swan's books since then has just upped the shock value, with "heroes" whose actions turn my stomach. As always, her writing is incredibly bingeable and each to devour, but this male lead is SO extraordinarily off-putting that I was left feeling sick to my stomach. The book is also unnecessarily long, so I skimmed a significant portion of it. I was not emotionally invested, and I didn't care if this couple found their happily ever after.

I’ve loved the Miles brothers (though my soft spot always will go to Jamieson 🥰) and though I felt this book was rather different from the others, it still hit the spot.

Christopher has always had everything come easy to him, though he genuinely doesn’t realise it. A true portrayal of someone who doesn’t know how good he has it, he only really finds out when he, in a fit of pique, decides to go backpacking for a year.

Meeting up with Hayden, there are lots of “feelings” but at mainly her behest they decide to try friendship (*snigger*, when does that ever work out!)

Obviously feelings, emotions and *ahem* other stuff happens and at the end of the year reality comes crashing down meaning our love torn couple have to try to find a happy mix between what was, what can be and what will be.

A fantastic love story before anything else, this book also contains a fabulous family dynamic (though not nearly enough of the other brothers as I would have liked to have seen!), giggles and high emotion.

A lovely conclusion to this series, I am crossing all fingers, toes and any available appendages now that the author returns to the Stanton world for her next book..

I heard great things about this book and it did not disappoint! Quick, spicy read that was perfect for getting out of my reading slump. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC.

This book was a complete miss for more. I have enjoyed the other three books in this series and I was excited for Hayden and Christopher's story. Maybe I overhyped in my head because I really thought this was going to be the best romance yet from this author.
But I found Christopher to be absolutely unlikeable. His character was obnoxious. He was an ass. He came across as a self serving jerk. He has major anger management issues and was incredibly unkind to Hayden.

The writing and tone of the story was a miss for me. I only made it to 42% before I gave up. The partying and sleeping around was to much. The constant reference to how Christopher's desire and need for sexual gratification was gross.
The hate on women by both characters was so offensive, I just gave up. This was not a book for me.

I received an ARC from NetGalley. This is a totally honest review.

This book had me cracking up from the very beginning. As a huge fan of The Miles High Club Brothers, Christopher is the funniest one of them. The tone is set right from the beginning of what to expect from Christopher. He is the youngest of all of the Miles High Brothers. He's gorgeous, hilarious, witty, and ideally, with the biggest heart of all the brothers.

If you enjoyed the other three brothers, you would also love this one. It was a slow burn, but one I could say I enjoyed very much. I did not want it to end, as I found it amusing seeing how Christopher was able to find himself on this backpacking to Europe trip. Being in Europe alone and not having to lean on his brothers, he discovered who he indeed was, but most importantly, he finally understood the true meaning of love.

This book had all the spice and everything nice.

I highly recommend all of T.L. Swan's books! She NEVER disappoints.

*Thank you NetGalley for an eARC of this book* and thank you T.L Swan for finishing off the Miles High Series with this story! 5 stars aren’t enough! The Do-Over had me in absolute hysterics at various points in the book! I don’t think I’ve EVER laughed this hard reading a contemporary romance! and I’ve read both the camping scene in The Stopover AND the scene where Tristan meets Harry in The Takeover. Christopher is now my favourite Miles brother (sorry Tristan). Don’t hesitate to pick up this book on its release date, the storyline is a fresh take on the billionaire stories we’ve all come to love from TL Swan.

I have loved the miles high series! This was no different. However the first half was a bit slow for me. I didn’t enjoy the backpacking part very much since this was a billionaire romance. It was not even very fish out water scenario either. However, I did love the romance and how it built. I loved how the happily ever after came about too.

Soo good! Tristian is still my fav, but this whole plot line was PERFECTION. I need to read more books that travel. I now need to visit SPAIN ASAP!

4.25⭐

I was really excited to read The Do-Over by T.L. Swan as I'm a huge fan of the series and whilst Christopher isn't my favourite of the brothers this was an enjoyable and entertaining read. And one character in particular really shone and Christopher did grow on me and as a character especially after he met Hayden.

Not to mention the pace at which the story developed was perfect and with plenty of steam, emotion and lots of moments of fun. This was a great read; it just didn't capture me like the earlier books did and it took me a couple of tries to really get into it. But I'm glad I did and I would happily recommend it to others.

As a whole I've enjoyed this series but this wasn't my favorite of the four. I was very frustrated with Christopher most of the book and while I understood why he did things the way he did I felt the book could have had a little more honesty.

Tristan is still my favorite Miles brother, but I am glad I got a chance to read this one.

I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley. This is my honest opinion.

If you liked the first three books in the series, i would recommend not reading this one, it honestly made me hate the miles brothers, the author gave them words and reactions that were so misogynist and downright derogatory towards women.
Christopher was so toxic that reading even the romantic scenes felt uncomfortable, he was literally emotionally abusing and did lots of gaslighting, and Hayden was allowing this, she had this feminist persona at the beginning, but then her love made her so weak, love is supposed to make you strong, it's not about lowering your expectations and limits.
That was a bad ending for a nice series.

BOOK REVIEW: The Do-Over by @tlswanauthor

4 Stars

I was so excited to read this final installment of the series and thankfully it did not let me down.

To begin with, I did struggle to get into the book. Chris (the lead male) didn't exactly endear me to him and I struggled to find a connection at all. In fact I nearly DNFed but am SO glad I didn't as it got much much better once the story progressed a little. This is a strangers that meet when backpacking to friends to lovers romance and I loved how the romance built between the two leads. I especially loved that the lead female Hayden was the one holding the reigns in the relationship and the one that friend zoned Chris! Their chemistry is undeniable and it was so much fun to see them grow closer and closer. I wasn't a fan of some of Chris's actions and don't think he got the telling off he deserved which is why I can't rate this higher.
Hayden was definitely my favourite character. She is a ray of sunshine and I loved how much she loved life and put her all into everything. I really routed for her. I had a rollercoaster of emotions with Chris but ultimately he is a good guy and that really shows towards the end of the book. I loved his relationship with his brothers and with the boy Eddie (which made my heart melt!).
The writing was great and definitely held my attention. I really enjoy T. L Swan's books and can't wait to read more of them. Highly recommend this series to romance (and smut) lovers!

Please note that I was #gifted this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I’m beyond mind blown. Miss Swan decided to go all out with the last installment of The Miles High Club and I’m absolutely in love with Christopher Miles and Hayden Whitmore.
This book is full of laughs, self discovery, compromising, hot scenes, made families but above all true love.
Christopher embarks on a year long backpacking Euro trip to find himself after realizing that his life is not normal and he needs to find out who he really is. In Barcelona he meets Hayden and they become fast friends. With other backpackers they go all over Europe and it’s the best time of their lives. When the trip comes to an end they have to face reality and life is not always as easy as it seems, even when you’re madly in love with each other.
These to have to really go through so much to get to their HEA but that’s what makes it even more beautiful and worth it in the end. There were times while I was reading that I didn’t understand why the book had to be so long, we could have stop and be happy with the way it was a several points but then we would have missed on the amazing finale Miss Swan gave us. True love, a made family and a happily ever after in Bumf*ck Nowhere, England.

*Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this title.*

So I'm gonna cut right to the chase. While I found that part of this book reminded me fondly of previous books that I loved... on the whole this final entry to the Miles High Club was not for me. Since I respect this author I will keep this review succinct and not spiral into the rant that I want.

This book is about Christopher Miles being told by his brothers that he is entitled and doesn't know anything about being a normal guy. This leads him to decide to take a "Do-Over" year and go backpacking through Europe. With only $1500 in his pockets and a fake name (kind of) he heads off to try and survive on his own and meet people who don't know of his privilege. On this trip he meets Hayden, who is taking her own year off of life to get her groove back. She has no idea who Christopher Miles is and if he wants to get with her, he's gonna have to grow up and win a girl with more than his money. (This is a summary in my own words.)

3 Things I liked:
-The Miles family moments. The brothers together in the beginning. The little notes they sent Chris during his travels. And of course, the family dinner where we get a peek at Tristan and a pregnant Claire (I will always STAN these two-perfection!)

-Christopher and Eddie's relationship. Any time these two were together I was melting. I wish there was more of them. I almost rated this book higher just for their interactions. The way Christopher looks out for him and champions him was really cool.

-A few swoony conversations here and there. They do have a very good physical relationship. The author knows how to bring the heat.

3 Things I strongly DISliked:
- The amount of gross things used for humor in the first 30% of this book. (vomit, body hair, animal husbandry, etc.) Like... are we 13 here?

- The amount of times that the dialogue tag referred to Christopher as "yelling, screaming, or raising" his voice. He was speaking in a raised or angry voice more often than he used an indoor voice. Whenever something wasn't going his way, he was screaming. He threw fits and tantrums CONSTANTLY. I know part of this is supposed to be how he is in the beginning... to show a character growth, I guess but... at a certain point I realized it was just his default and it made him so unlikable. Any time Claire wanted to discuss something... he listened for 2 seconds before he escalated. I'm serious, keep your eye out for what volume he speaks in. It's telling.

-And all of this leads to my biggest issue: I don't know how Hayden stays with him. He is a lair, a manipulator, a bully, and when he doesn't get his way.... he leaves. At first I liked that Hayden was patient and that she didn't always jump to conclusions, but eventually... I wanted her to go back to the farm as well. At least the cows aren't going to jerk you around. I know there was a lot of their time on the road that we don't see but... I think she's better off without him.

Rounding this out, I just didn't believe the romance by the time we ended. We spent a big portion of the book with them as friends. Which is GREAT! However, we skip through that time with time jumps and I didn't get to EXPERIENCE all the little things Chris was doing that had Hayden so devoted to her... so when they were together and he would constantly have these tantrums.... I just wanted her to leave.

His brothers were right, he was and still is spoiled.

Hayden and Christopher had the potential to be the best romance yet from this author. But I found Christian to be absolutely insufferable with very little growth in this book, until the very end. He was CONSTANTLY losing his temper and I just did not care for him at all. The ONLY redeeming quality his had was his love and concern for the boy, Eddie.

I did not like the slapstick approach to humor, the non stop partying and sleeping around, and the constant reference to how Christopher "needed" sex and that was a constant conflict in their relationship.

I loved The Takeover but this one was a hot mess.

I knew Christopher Miles’ story was going to be a wild one and it was very much that. It was a love story that took two very different people and put them in extraordinary circumstances outside of both of their normal and on a level playing field. They never would have met otherwise and wouldn’t have given each other a chance either. Having met this way, allowed them to get to know each other as people and equals, without Chris’s wealth and Hayden’s situation to keep them from exploring what could be between them.

Christopher Miles lives the rich life to its fullest - indulging in women, cars, and booze. What he doesn’t realize is that his existence is very hollow. So his big idea to find his inner depth is to leave it all behind for a year and backpack with no access to his wealth. He plans to live under the radar. Once he gets to Spain, he realizes what a mess he’s put himself into. Then slowly over time, he starts to see the people around him. He starts to live, then love. Hayden is easy going and always up for a challenge. She brings a vibrance to his life that he didn’t even know he was missing. But there’s one problem: she has no idea who he really is.

I enjoyed this love story. It was a bit chaotic at times and didn’t have a big climax and ending, but more of a slow amble into the HEA. It was a little anticlimactic but it worked well for me. I will have to say that I did not like the beginning of the book. I thought Chris was a jerk and that the events right upon getting to Spain were better suited for a romcom and felt a little ridiculous in a contemporary novel. But once past that, I really enjoyed the light humor and story as it unfolded. Another thing I would like to note is that T needed an American editor. Both characters are American, and used British words and phrases throughout. It was a bit annoying and took me out of the story a bit. This could be forgiven for Chris because he has lived and worked in London for quite some time, but even still I’m not sure he would have been quite so British. Overall, this is a good story that I enjoyed but not my favorite of the series.

I keep going back and forth on how to rate this one. This is likely a 2.5 to 3 star read for me which is quite disappointing given that this was one of my most anticipated reads this year. One of the reasons why I absolutely love the other books in this series is that they are so funny and this book just didn't really deliver in that department. I didn't enjoy the writing in this one and I just wasn't as invested in their relationship. There were some comments made throughout this book that made me raise my eyebrows and were just off putting.

First off, I’d love to mention how cool this premise was with the backpacking and meeting in a hostel setting. I’ve never read a book with those aspects in it and I loved it! Hayden is our heroine who is remarkably herself and she has no problem knocking Christopher back a peg and showing that she wasn’t falling for him right off the bat. Christopher is a huge player whose world got rocked by Hayden. When he came to the revelation that he was falling for her and then in love? It was all over for him. I really liked that their relationship grew naturally. They first became best friends and had a blast always hanging out together, then obviously from there, they slowly started to fall for each other and wanted to be more than friends. When they finally got together it was such a special moment! Of course, the book also has some seriously funny moments like many of her other books. This series is over now BUT we will be getting an extended epilogue book of all the couples on Valentine’s Day called Miles Ever After so I cannot wait for that!

I felt like the brother series got better and better, and the fourth and final book did not disappoint. Remy ended up being my favorite and I loved reading his redemption story.

I wouldn't read this book as a standalone though because there's stuff from other storylines in the other books which just made this one better.

I loved the last one, and I'm not usually a fan of the tropes in the book, but it was well done overall.
