I absolutely loved this book! The author did great bringing you into the scenes and describing emotions and feelings of the characters. Such a cute Christmasy book xx
This was a brilliant story. It wasn't far from getting full marks. The only reason it didn't was it reminded me of another book that I read that was similar, and I had given that 5 stars. The storyline was very fairytale like. It was one of them cheesey romance books that you just love. There was so much Christmas in this book that it was bursting at the seems. I love stories like this one that just wrap you up and makes you feel all Christmasy. The characters were great, lots of different and conflicting personalities making for great drama. This book played like a movie in my mind while reading it. It stirred up so many emotions and happiness. I really recommend reading this book, especially if you had read and loved a royal Christmas fairy tale by Karen schaler as the stories are very similar. The book was well written with a fantastic pace to it. It feels like a Disney story for adults.
So much praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating such a wonderful story that I just had to read in one sitting. I will definitely be looking out for more books by this fantastic author.

Do you enjoy holiday movies that are set in small made-up European countries? If so, this is the book for you! This story would make the perfect Hallmark movie and has everything you expect in a Christmas romance.
Gracie Clark runs a party business where she acts the part of a party princess, Princess Snowflake. She can’t get a loan to expand her business, but wins a contest put together by the small European country of San Glacera. She has to travel to the country and help with tourism leading up to Christmas to earn her $30,000 prize. Gracie meets her perfect prince charming but is horrified to discover it is Prince Nikolas, the real prince of San Glacera and not an actor. The two have misunderstandings, but as they get to know each other, will an American party princess and a real European prince be able to get together?
Once Upon a Royal Christmas reminded me a lot of the Netflix A Christmas Prince series and the Princess Switch series. My daughter and I love both of them. I thought Once Upon a Royal Christmas was an enjoyable, charming, and light Christmas audiobook. It’s a good clean read. I also love that Gracie was able to get her spirit to sing back as well.
I absolutely loved this book! The author did great bringing you into the scenes and describing emotions and feelings of the characters. I loved how the Snowflake Princess was passionate about her job. And Prince Nick, everyone thought him to be abominable. Maybe he was about some things, but once he started to get to know the fake princess, who he despised, things were starting to change! I also really enjoyed the surprising second meeting of the Snowflake Princess and real Prince! I didn’t see that coming! But it set the stage of emotions and I was excited to see how things played out in the end! Definitely a great read!
This was just brain candy. And since it's set during Christmas, allow me: this was a Christmas cane for the brain. That cheesy rhyme is just about on par with the average dialogue between the characters in this story, so use it as a cheat code for determining if the cheese levels in this story might be too high for you.
Gracie dresses up as a princess for children's parties. Her business partner enters her into a contest held by the royal family of the European kingdom of San Glacera. The kingdom gets some much-needed publicity and Gracie walks away with the money needed to expand her business. Or that's the idea, at least. But when Gracie meets the actual real-life crown prince of San Glacera, sparks fly.
This was a cute, but ultimately not very memorable, story featuring a fake princess and a Disneyland-esque European kingdom. Perfect for wasting away a cold December day in the run-up to Christmas.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year. The season is best time to spend with family and find love. The cover is amazing and the characters are also wonderful.
I loved every moment of this book. This was the perfect holiday movie in book form. We have a grumpy prince in a far-out land and bright sunshine "princess" who needs to save her business. Gracie Clark's best friend and business partner, Clara finds a way via the internet to save the business through an outrageous contest in San Glacera. Now our grump, The Crown, Prince Nicholas Luca Montavan doesn't want any piece of the contest. He doesn't see how this contest is going to bring tourists to San Glacera. But somehow Clara sprinkles her magic on the people of San Glacera and The Crown Prince.
This was a great standalone read. I enjoyed the characters and a new royal kingdom. This is a great holiday read! This is like a Hallmark movie in book form.
This was a sweet read, I'd rate it G for kissing.
Once Upon a Royal Christmas has the perfect balance of comedy and romance. I loved the characters and their witty banner between them while falling in love with San Glacera. If it were a real country, I'd be planning a trip there next year and soak in the Christmas celebrations. This novel is the perfect antidote for the Christmas blues. As proof, here is my favorite quote:
"But this…this was real magic. The sort of magic that made children believe in Santa Claus and adults long to come home for the holidays. This was Christmas magic."
Set aside time during this busy holiday season and gift yourself a trip to San Glacera. (You don't even have to brave the airport!)
A party Princess meets a real prince - what a perfect premise for a Christmas book. A wonderful, heartwarming read, perfect for the Holiday season. This one was light, fun and easy to read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The sweetest Christmas Romance! An European Prince and an American girl that dresses up as a princess for living. This is a feel-good, easy to read book, that I would read again!
Prince Nikolas is preparing himself to one day become the king of San Glacera. His country relies on winter tourism but things haven’t been pretty good lately. His sister suggests to run a contest, and the winner would win some money and be able to come to San Glacera to perform during the winter festival. Nick doesn’t think this is the solution.
Gracie Clark runs a children’s party business and performs as ‘Princess Snowflake.’ They’ve been trying to get a loan to expand their business for a while but it’s unsuccessful. Her friend and partner in business applies to a contest in her behalf, and she wins. With that money, they could expand their company and have their “princess” working full time with benefits!
But when Gracie arrives in San Glacera and meets Prince Nikolas, things change.
I really enjoyed this book! And I would read it again and again!
I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review
This was exactly what I wanted.
This was such a cute and romantic story. I loved the royal family, the Christmas outings, and the characters felt real.
Thanks to Netgalley for giving me this book to read in exchange for an honest review. No compensation was given, offered, or taken to alter the opinion.
This book was a dreamy fairytale, which is exactly what I needed to finish out my 2022 reading. It doesn't get any better than a Christmas romance, featuring a royal prince, cute Christmas traditions, snowy carriage rides, and more! I enjoyed this adorable story. I hope this book becomes a movie in the future. I love that each of the Hallmark books feature a recipe at the end. I can't wait to try to the hot chocolate from this story! If you want a sweet Christmas book to put you in the Christmas spirit, I definitely recommend this one!
This was exactly what I wanted it to be. So heartwarming, so sweet, so christmassy.
A party princess meets a real prince.
Gracie spends her days working as a princess at children’s parties. She’s amazing at her job and she loves it but sometimes she is not taken seriously.
Prince Nikolas is seen as a bit of a grump. People don’t know the real Nick. He loves his kingdom, he takes his job seriously and he has a big heart.
Gracie meets Nick after winning a contest to come to his country and play her character at Ice Village festivities. For Gracie, the contest is good for her business. For Nick, it’s supposed to improve morale and his image.
When they meet, they misunderstand who the other is. There’s a brief, very awkward moment afterwards. But soon they get to know each other through events.
This is just so sweet and heartwarming. It’s exactly what I wanted to be reading on Christmas. I’d definitely recommend it for guaranteed warm fuzzies :)
I got to read an early edition ebook from NetGalley. Thank you!
This book is a wonderful festive read, full of reasons to day dream and heartwarming feels.
The storyline concentrates on Gracie’s day job playing dress ups, she loves being a princess to excite children at parties and hospital visits. Expanding her business is tricky though, there’s only one option, to win a contest with the royal family of San Glacera.
Gracie wins the cash and spends time with a real prince, a grumpy Prince Nicolas! It’s a bumpy journey as the relationship between Nick and Gracie develop.
It’s a pleasure to read the lighthearted moments, how the character’s grew together and learnt to live in each other’s worlds!
It’s almost time to go home and emotions are running high. Nick has responsibilities as a real prince and Gracie is nervous about
Christmas Eve, is happy ever after going to happen!

What a cute story! Great cold winter night read. Snuggle up with this book, your favorite blanket in your favorite chair with your favorite warm drink and it’ll be a great night. Characters are likeable and fun. There’s not a lot of depth to the characters but maybe that’s ok. This is a lighthearted fun read. Like watching a movie.
I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
What a great fairy tale 🥰☺️! I’m a sucker for royal romances, hallmark romances, Christmas and just romance in general, so Once Upon a Royal Christmas checked so many boxes for me! There’s not much I can think of to say other than that this was a straightforward and fun read and I loved Gracie’s spirit! ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Read this if you want a feel good, positive romance that’s sweet and you love hallmark! ♥️ Thank you NetGalley for the gifted copy to read and review. I enjoyed it immensely!
3.5 ⭐
This book is everything the cover, title and blurb say about it, and if that's what you are in the mood for - you won't be disappointed.
The setting was absolute Christmas perfection. A small kingdom near the Swiss Alps, a cozy B&B with a view of the castle, snowy carriage rides, adorable little shops and traditions and even a couple of dogs...
All that and much more packed in a single book - make sure you are a hundred percent in the mood for a holiday read before picking this one.
The romance was also pretty cute. It started out as grump and sunshine, but the grump melted pretty quickly, and after that everything was almost too sweet.
I liked it. It was maybe a tad too much at times, but other than that, this was a sweet and cozy royal romance that I’m sure people who like the genre will enjoy a lot.
