*received for free from netgalley for honest review* Cute chapter books for kids, would recommend to 7+
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this novel. I encourage you to check this one out! Really solid read. Super cute!
This early chapter book tells the story friends Zoe and Isabel and the silly and imaginative antics they get into along with the dog Rollo. Isabel worries that because of all the trouble Rollo causes, her parents might take him to an animal shelter, but she later learns that where they are taking him is obedience classes. I like the message it sends of not giving up on the dog, but it is also a relatable and age-appropriate problem for readers in this age group. The font is large and well-spaced, perfect for this reading group. There are some small black and white illustrations which break up the text and support comprehension which is also an important resource for young readers. This story is also the first in a series so it will offer opportunities for teachers to recommend more books for reluctant or struggling readers
Izzy loves her puppy Rollo. But soon, Rollo starts to look like a different dog. He's getting bigger and heavier, and even worse, doesn't listen well at all! Izzy soon learns how to train him to be more obedient.
A cute story although not my favorite! I did like the illustrations a lot though.
I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
