Dinosaur lovers will enjoy this. It's a good book to read for a Valentine's Day storytime. It has fun colorful illustrations and rhyming.
This was a fun, quick valentine's read. If you have a dinosaur lover, boy or girl, this books is perfect! Lots of colors, rhyming words, and most of all dinosaurs!
My son is five and a big fan of these Dino series books, including this one. We love the rhyming and illustrations. It keeps him engaged throughout the entire book.
such a cute and fun read for me and my kids!
Easy and simple for all while still holding their attention
Nothing new here but this is a great read aloud to add to a holiday collection. A rhyming valentine book about dinos is going to make some kids very happy! If the kiddos in your life read and enjoyed the other books in this series this one will be a hit too!
Prepare for a class Valentine’s Day party with the Dinos.
Are there crushes brewing? No one knows! Follow along as everyone prepares for the Valentine’s Day dance.
This book featured:
- bright but tasteful illustrations.
- many dinosaurs, with words color coded to match the Dino.
- realistic absurdity similar to “Dragons Love Tacos.”
- a simple rhyming scheme.
It was a bit difficult to keep all of the dinosaurs straight. An appendix at the end with their full names would be helpful.
This book is probably most appropriate for children 4-7.
Thank you NetGalley for providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Fantastic and beautiful illustrations of dinosaurs on Valentine’s day! It was funny seeing the dinosaurs in aprons and other silly outfits. Great way to learn about the different dinosaurs as well, although I got a bit lost in all their names. This would be a cute Valentine’s day present!
Cute book about Valentine’s Day! I have not seen or read one with dinosaurs as the characters. Only part I didn’t really understand was the reference to Hanukkah.
Cute illustrations. The dinosaur varieties are many and great
Fun rhymes
Quick story about the dinosaur's Valentines Day party at school

I am currently looking for books that I could add to my niece's collection.
I love the cover of this book. The illustrations are so pretty. I also like how it is themed around a holiday.
My only critique, I think the font could be better. It feels really out of place on the pages
This is a fun book with dinosaurs celebrating Valentines Day. It is written in couplets. I think this book would be fun to have in a classroom for the holiday. There are also pretty illustrations in the book.
I've been a fan of Lisa Wheeler's Dino-Sports and Dino-Holidays series ever since I was gifted a copy of Dino-Hockey! Dino-Valentines was just as cute as the previous books of the series. Barry Gott's adorable illustrations as usual have details you'll notice the 6th, 10th or 112th time your kid requests you read this. Lisa Wheeler always throws in some cool words to explain to your kid while maintaining awesome rhymes. I'm personally not too keen on Valentine's day as a holiday but i loved this book and I can't wait to read it with my little dino-fans when it comes out!
Thank you so much Lerner Publishing Group and NetGalley for the ARC of this one!
‘Dino-Valentine’s day’ is an adorable picture book that features dinosaurs and their friends in their quests to making valentine cards. A rhyming book for children, this will entertain kids of any gender and interest. The colors and drawings pop and the rhyme scheme allows for an engaging flow during story time.
Dinosaurs + Valentine’s Day? Count me in! What a fun creative little story! I loved the colorful artwork and the rhyming couplets throughout. It wa da good length of book for my almost four year old. She enjoyed it, the Dino’s were easy for her to recognize. And the sweet message of spreading love all around was very sweet.
A super-cute story about dinosaurs celebrating Valentine's Day. It not only focuses on individual crushes, but also on inclusion. This is a great way to get kids excited about Valentine's Day!
It's a fun and lively story! It's just about the title, Dinos that celebrating Valentine's day. Is it different from human Valentine's celebration? Find it out in this book!
The illustrations are the best I’ve seen in a childrens book! This story is about a bunch of Dino’s preparing for Valentines Day by making cards and yummy treats for one another. The story kept the attention of my 4 year old who laughed out loud a couple of times, there was a little bit of rhyming but not overwhelmingly so.
Thank you to NetGalley and Lerner Publishing Group for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This is such a cute, easy and fast read. It has a really cute rhyming pattern. It’s a good story about dinosaurs being so excited for Valentines Day and making cards and desserts. It’s also a good story about including everyone so no one feels left out.
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
The Dinosaurs are very excited about Valentine's Day just around the corner! With so much preparation to be done, the entire town is busy making gifts for their Valentine's.
Dino-Valentine's Day is such a whimsical story by Lisa Wheeler, and wonderfully illustrated by Barry Gott,
With a fun rhyming pattern throughout, this story is very fun to read aloud. I will thoroughly enjoy reading this to my stepson, especially because the characters throughout have fun authentic dinosaur names like Diplo, Ptero, and Stego, just to name a few.
