Peter and Julia receive a mysterious box with seven riddles to solve.
This is a religious children's book, more precisely Catholic. But fun for the kids because they get involved in the riddles. I really enjoyed it, even as an adult. In addition, it has beautiful illustrations and easy language.
Thank you NetGalley and Loyola Press for accepting my request to read and review Seven Clues.

A carefully written scripture -based and -provided story. The children receive a mystery box with a puzzle inside. There are seven clues. If the puzzle is solved, there is a prize.
There are several lessons to be learned in this book. Primarily, I was pleased to see an older brother willing to help, grandparents who were invested and developed an adventure the children would enjoy, in addition the joy wanting to share their day with their parents.
There are many things to learn in this beautifully illustrated book.
This is absolutely giftable to engaged caregivers.
Such a sweet book for kids to learn more about the Mass! The art is well done and will be enjoyed by the kids. The writing fired a great job of making Mass and priests approachable for kids.
Loved the adventure of solving the clues and resulting in a deeper understanding and love of the Mass! Even older kids can see how to help younger siblings solve the clues while learning how the Mass has been mysteriously unveiled in the Book of Revelation. Gets more enjoyable with each read. Definitely will be sharing with my grandchildren!
The words "cute" and "introduction to the theology of the Mass" don't seem to go together, yet that's the best way I can think of to describe this book! It's sweet, and I can imagine grandparents sharing it with grandkids on their laps. While it's likely to reach a very niche audience, they will be pleased with it.
The illustrations on this book are so cute! The story is very interesting as it explains Jesus and the Eucharist.
Seven clues
A Christian childrensbook with treasure hunting, and what will be the treasure?
Can u find the 7 clues?
This book will be joyfull to read together with your family, when u are together in your cosy home.
Together you can go treasure hunting like in the book and learn more about the bible and Jesus!
I think it is a perfect gift for your children, it is fun to read and has a little adventure in it..And even you learn a lot!
I just love this book!
The illustrations are beautiful. I didn't realize this was a religious book, however, until I received it. As an atheist, this is not my cup of tea as I believe indoctrinating children is morally and ethically wrong.
The perfect mix of religious information and mystery/clue hunting for children. James, the older brother of Julia & Peter, helps his siblings solve the mystery. He is helpful, but let's the two come to their own conclusions.
The illustrations are sweet and there is also information in the back of the book diving deeper into the Catholic Mass.
Would be a fantastic selection for children before receiving their first communion to gain a better understanding in a fun way.

I am not a religious person but the Seven Clues book is an enjoyable book for kids that are at that stage where they are starting to question everything and you want them to see from different perspectives.
The Seven Clues is a picture book that helps explain Jesus and the Eucharist. Perfect as a gift for kids preparing for their first communion.
I think this a cute story that explains some of the things in the Catholic church and why we do them.
I'm not the most devout Catholic but I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed how the connection with traditions,/ceremony of mass with the bible is a nice touch.
This was a fun story. Although I am not Catholic, I thought it was a good story. The story reflects on the importance of church in our lives. The children figuring out the clues was a very cool element. The illustrations were very pretty. I enjoyed it very much.
As a practicing Catholic and elementary educator, I was very hopeful about this book! Any way to make faith more fun is great. Unfortunately, this book just felt a little hokey at best or, at worst, an introduction to conspiracy theories and doomsdaying. Now, surely this is cynicism on my part, but I was unimpressed.
