Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me a copy of this audiobook! I was really excited to read this book because of the description. I will admit that I was a little confused reading this book. Overall I really liked this book!
Deeply confusing and oddly written. Despite my best efforts it was a DNF. Maybe will revisit some day to see if my current head space is the issue, but sadly I do no expect that to be the case.
I tried to finish this audiobook. I really did because the novel seems interesting, although slow and confusing. Also, the narration is not to my liking even though I understand why it’s like that. But it’s really hard to listen. I’m not sure if I will finish it because of the many great books in the TBR pile lately. I hope I can get back to this, but not sure I will. DNF at 13%.
I will not publish this review anywhere else as I gave up too soon.
Thanks to Tantor Audio for the ALC and this opportunity!

I listened to 7% of this book but couldn’t get into it. Written fine from what I can tell just not my cup of tea.
This wasn’t my favorite book, it was definitely hard to get through. I think I’ll have to revisit it, Lambda isn’t a bad book by any means, it’s just not for me.
I'm going to be honest here, I picked this book up purely for its cover and went into it blind.
What I found was a darkly funny tale about the creeping intrusion of surveillance technology and the impact it has upon us. Something so timely with the rise of facial identification and police accessing ring camera footage.
And while I loved the exploration of this, the extremely disjointed narrative style took me a long time to get used to, I kept putting it down and picking it up again.
I think both narrators did such an amazing job of making this narration style come to life and their tone of voice added to the humourous parts in such a fun way.
Overall this was an odd SciFi that I'm glad I read, but I have no idea who I'd recommend it to.
Thank you NetGalley and Tantor Audio for an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Hmm I think the story sounds good but I cant stand the narration, I love their accent but the narration is so without feelings that I cant make myself listen to the full audiobook, I want to try and read the book instead, the audiobook is not working for me this time… hmm it could help if when each chapter was starting the narrator said like 1 chapter, 2 chapter and so on…
Thank you NetGalley for the free ARC and this is my honest opinion.
I requested this one because it might be an upcoming title I would like to review on my Youtube Channel. However, after reading the first several chapters I have determined that this book does not suit my tastes. So I decided to DNF this one.
I listened to 10% and decided this one was not for me.
Thanks you for sending the audio version to me, but the mechanical voice as grating.
