Joseph “Joe Joe“ Lavoie is an old man bound to a wheelchair but once he was a young spry son, boyfriend army soldier and brother. This book is about the downfall of not only his life but his family. He’s telling the tail in the 1970s but the events that bound him to the chair happened the 1953 but the family‘s downfall may have started long before that. It’s a scathing Life review from a cynical man who only has love for his family and that doesn’t include all of them. This was a really good book it took a couple of chapters to get into it but once I was the great narrator and the awesome plot moved it along and before I knew it the book was over. I truly enjoyed this book highly recommend it to those who like Nabor in crime mystery with a little family drama thrown in. I received this book from net galley and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review
