Part of a series featuring Sam Capra. Espionage thriller ,lots of action and suspense, plenty of twists and turns.
I absolutely loved this book.. From the first sentence to the last, I had my jaw clenched and several times I think my heart literally stopped. It has plenty of action and surprise twists. And I loved that in the beginning it started like a family friendly read. An excellent book that is outstandingly written with a gripping plot and well interesting characters.

Part of the Sam Capra series.
Compared with the other titles in the Sam Capra series, this is drawn out and far from Abbotts best work. It can be read as a stand alone book, with parts filling in the gaps that have not read the other titles.
As an espionage thriller, the book is predictable, with twists and turns that can be seen coming, and ultimately just drag out the story line.

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would as I have not read any others in the series - it doesn’t matter. This book stands alone and the author does a great job introducing the characters without assuming knowledge. So many twists to keep up with and a lot of family drama as well as the central intrigue which forms the basis of the plot. Really good.
An interesting novel with several twists and a good plot.
Enjoyed the characters and it sets up well for the next one in the series.
Sam Capra is one of my favourite characters so I was very excited for his return. It was a very enjoyable read and it picks up several years after the last book ended. Sam get's called up to help with surveillance in Miami and things quickly get's complicated.
It was clear to me that this book was a setup for things to come in the future. We learn that his dad is not his dad, his wife might no longer be in a coma and that his friend Mila will be back in his life
Traitor's Dance by Jeff Abbott.
Sam Capra is back. He is trying to live a normal life with his son Daniel. But Markus Bolt has disappeared.
A very good read with twists and turns. Good story. 4*.

Sam Capra is back! He is still running his bars all over the world as a cover for working for America’s secret agency Section K but as the book starts he has settled down in Austin with his son, Daniel, who is now 13, and is enjoying a normal life.
Suddenly everything changes as Section K are informed that Markus Bolt, one of the most infamous defectors in America’s history, a man responsible for many deaths of American, British and European spies has disappeared from Moscow and is believed to be back in America. Only a very few people know about this and the general feeling is that he wants to contact his estranged daughter, Amanda, however he is also in possession of a list that gives details of all the important Russians nefarious financial accounts and dealings.
Initially Sam is just asked to watch over Amanda, in the belief that Markus will try and contact her but it soon becomes apparent that he is not the only person trying to capture Markus and some characters from the previous books raise their heads again.
The other major problem for Sam is his son. Daniel has always been told that his mother died of a heart condition shortly after his birth and that his father only deals with the running of the bars. However when he receives an anonymous message stating that his mother’s grave is empty, Daniel tries to discover more which brings him into more danger.
This book is fast paced and action packed. As always with Jeff Abbott’s books I raced through it and was really caught up in the story. To add to the suspense there is an amazing twist at the end which I really did not anticipate and which I hope means there will be another book coming soon.
