This is a cozy romance, a quick read, with likable characters...a character driven novel...the author is talented at writing a story that is fiction, but it does read like nonfiction, at times. Love and romance...friendship and family...pets...curl up in a comfy chair before a blazing, roaring fire...grab a cozy blanket...a cup of steaming hot tea...be transported to the Highlands for an afternoon with this quirky protagonist. The book was sent to me by Netalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for the electronic copy.
A lovely story . Merry was a great character. . She went to Scotland to help her aunt and you felt christmasy by the end of the book. You had over protected brothers ,a very naughty turkey and rabbit and a very handsome vet. You got a great love element . It was nice to be back in the Highlands but definitely can be read as a stand alone. A perfect Saturday afternoon on the sofa read. Loved it
It felt so good to be back in the Scottish highlands. This book can be read as a standalone as it features new characters of Merry who has come to
Christmas village to look after her aunt Ava’s house and menagerie of animals while she is away and the new vet to Village Theo alongside old characters from Christmas in the Scottish highlands Bella and Edina amongst others.
This was the perfect escapism read and once I had picked it up I couldn’t put it down and read it in a day while
Sitting in the garden and being transported to the beautiful crisp snow covered Scottish highlands. This was so much more than a romantic read and was a story of community spirit and of finding your feet and regaining confidence and how anything is possible with a little help form your friends you just have to believe in yourself and for others to believe in you too.
This book like the authors others would make perfect hallmark films
I am already hoping there is going to be another book in this series so that I can take another trip to the Scottish highlands weee anything is possible and dreams do come true.
