I was hooked from the very beginning if this book and couldn't stop turning the pages. What a brilliant physiological read with a few twists and turns that kept me guessing right to the very end.

Psychological thrillers are wild. They keep me up at night thinking way too much and makes me anxious to finish it. I woke up super early in the morning to finish this because I couldn’t put this down. While there were things that could’ve been better, I think the good outweighs the bad in this novel.

Everything progressed very well and fast. I think that was the main reason I kept reading. Enough characters to revolve around and make a thrilling novel. I liked how we got different perspectives, which helped tie them together in the end. I think the main thing I liked the most was the ending. It gave authentic thriller vibes. It leaves a lot up to the reader’s imagination.

I had my suspicions about who the watcher was. I had two guesses but then I kind of figured out the only person to be “the watcher” was the one who was obsessed with Avery and Mia. While there were many twists and turns, I think the one that had me shocked was when I found out about Avery’s identity. That was so interesting to see how everything led up to that moment.

I’m not used to the writing by this author because this is my first novel by her. Even then, I liked how she tied everything together and I think I’ll eventually grow used to the writing. I’m so happy I got to read this book and I think this is a great book to read if you like psychological thrillers.

I wasn't expecting much as this seems to be familiar territory but it did get really interesting and after a bit I couldn't stop reading as I wanted to find out what happened. It did work although I guessed the twists (but I read too much)

I do enjoy reading this author.

I was given an advance copy by the publishers and netgalley but the review is entirely my own.

My Husband’s Secret by L.G. Davis was a book with many twists and turns. This book kept you guessing who did it.
This story follows Avery as she navigates a difficult time in her life. Avery’s husband is in a car accident and starts a chain reaction that uncovers events from the past.
This book had me invested in the characters and the story. It kept me guessing throughout the whole book and the ending had me shocked. Highly recommend

I found this book disappointing. It started out well and had a good plot. A woman's husband, who was riding his bicycle, was hit by a hit-and-run driver. She tries to cope with him being in a coma while dealing with her difficult parents and a host of other things.

Nothing really happens for the first half of the book. Then there are a few twists. But by the time they came, I really didn't care. I skimmed a lot of the second half and frankly was just happy to have finished it. I hoped there would be some more excitement by the end, but there were just some passively written scenes. I would have been fine just skipping the second half and reading the last couple of chapters.

There were too many unbelievable parts. I don't know anyone who would act the way several of the main characters (the husband, school teacher, etc.) would behave.

I see that other reviewers loved it. Sorry, it just wasn't for me.

I am going to be straight up, this book had me on the edge of my seat, there are secrets coming from every angle, and from the people you least expect, this is a page turner. Don’t want to ruin the book for anyone, but I thought it was going to be a little bit more juicy being that the title is what it is, but it took a complete turn. Some parts were obvious though, but will I deny that this book was not GOOD, HELL YEA it was, the end had me wanting to toss my kindle out the window, (in a good way). Thanks Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

Oh my word what an absolutely brilliant read this was. This author has now turned into one of my ‘go to’ authors where I don’t even need to read the blurb, My Husband’s secret is an unputdownable, gripping and fast paced psychological thriller. The book is so full of twists and turns that at times I felt I was on a Roller Coaster. This is one of these books which I was so gripped by that I just wanted to ignore the outside world until I’d finished reading. Wow LG Davis sure knows how to write a suspenseful psychological thriller, that will honestly have you on the edge of your seat. A brilliant story that doesn’t falter the whole way through even to the very last word .

Book review

As Avery realizes that something terrible has happened to her husband, her daughter Mia and her have to figure out how to get through it and what’s next. As Her husband Keith sinks further in to a coma he says four gripping words “I took a life” leaving Avery to question everything. As the story takes off you are left wondering the entire book what the heck is going on, trying to keep up and figure it out you never truly know until the end and when you find out it’s not what you expected.

What a fabulous fast paced thriller! If you need a book you can’t put down this is for you! Twist, turns and confusion leave you hanging on for dear life.

We’ll done L.G. Davis

I have the perfect life: a loving marriage. an adorable little daughter, Mia, who is always full of smiles. But when my husband Keith is hit by a car, my whole world is turned upside down. With my heart breaking in his cold white hospital room, I hold his hand and tell him how much I love him. Then just as Keith slips into a coma, I hear him say four words that change everything: I took a life. Mia and I move into my childhood home alongside my parents for support, and I spend hours by Keith's hospital bedside, willing him to wake up. As I search through is belongings, it becomes clear that he was hiding something.

This fast paced, gripping read had me hooked from the first few pages. Once I picked this book up, I didn't want to put it back down again. I do love a book that has a dysfunctional family, and I like them even more when they are in a domestic suspense thriller. This twist filled read kept me on my toes trying to second guess what was going on. The story is told from multiple points of view but every now and again we get chapters told from someone known as "The Watcher." There are a few subplots running alongside the main storyline, but they are tied up nicely by the end of the book. I liked the authors writing style and I lied how the story ended.

I would like to thank #Netgalley #Bookouture and the author #LGDavis for my ARC of #MyHusbandsSecret in exchange for an honest review.

I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book had so many twists and turns and I enjoyed every second of it! It is the perfect book to get you started on spooky season.

Avery is our main character and she has a husband, Keith and daughter, Mia. The entire family has so many secrets and you think you have it all figured out, but then something else happens out of left field and it keeps you guessing until the end! I'm not going to share spoilers, but I feel so sorry for Mia. She's had a rough life and life has not been kind for Avery either. I would definitely recommend this book if you love a good thriller! I'll definitely be reading more of this author.

Excuse me, WHAT?!

I cannot count the amount of times I gasped whilsts reading this book. This is the type of book that you just have to keep on reading to find out what is happening, and let me tell you, it was twists after twists and I didn't predict any of the twists coming.. let's just say that very shocking discoveries are revealed. Furthermore, at the very end of the book, there is an even greater shock which will leave readers wanting more, well I did anyway.. lol

This is simply an absolute must read, it’s a fantastic thriller filled with tension and jaw-dropping twists.

I really enjoyed the fast paced story with many twists. If you enjoy a good psychological thriller, I highly recommend this one. Such an easy 5 stars! Wow!

Thank you Netgelley & L.G Davis for the opportunity to read this ARC.

My Husband’s Secret L G Davis

5 stars
Yet another winner form this author. Quite recently I read The Surrogates Gift by this author and absolutely loved it. This latest book is just as good if not better.

Avery Watkins is happily married to Keith with a 7 year old daughter Mia. Both she and her husband have successful jobs and life is good. Suddenly her whole world is ripped apart when her husband is the victim of a hit and run whilst riding his bike. He is rushed to hospital and as Avery is at his bedside he whispers ‘I took a life’ before lapsing into a coma.

Avery is aghast at this and when she also discovers that their joint bank account is missing $10000 dollars and a huge bouquet of flowers have been sent to an unknown woman she begins to wonder what secrets Keith has been hiding before his accident.

Avery has never had a good relationship with her parents, her father is an alcoholic and her mother suffers from bad bouts of depression but she turns to their next door neighbour, Ruth, who is Mia’s godmother and like a mother to Avery. Mia finds a new friend in the form of the new teaching assistant at her school, Miss Campbell and Avery tries to carry on as well as she can hoping against hope that her husband will wake from his coma and tell her what his words and actions meant.

Thrown into this story we are told about a Watcher who is keeping tabs on Avery and getting extremely angry at what she thinks is Avery’s neglect of her daughter.

This is the type of book that you just have to keep on reading to find out what is happening, some of it I guessed but some very shocking discoveries are revealed. Not only that but at the very end there is an even greater shock which readers, if they are like me, will leave them waiting for more.

I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who likes this type of psychological story, I thought it was brilliant and will ensure I read any future books by this author as well as trying to catch up on the previous ones.
