Soldier Secretary by Christopher Miller was received directly from the publisher and I chose to review it. Being a retired military person, this book interested me so I could see if the author was a neo con like most Secretarys of Defense. He is not. The author's military career was about the same time frame as mine, same service and we were at many of the same places at the same time. Post-military career he was in the DC swamp as I was, maybe in some of the same meetings. That being said, as Trumps last SECDEF, he was probably the best of the bunch in several years. If you, or someone you know, wants to read the real story oof the military in the last 30 years and how it has fallen this decade, give this book a read, then share this book with your friends and neighbors, everyone needs to read this.

This was a wonderful book. Anyone who wants to hear sense spoken about today's military should read this book.
