This was an interesting read as it one of the leads was polyamorous. As far as sci-fi goes it wasn’t the most imaginative of universes but the storyline was engaging and the pace really picked up in the last third of the book and I couldn’t put it down. Roseli’s relationships with her various lovers detracted from the main romantic storyline which unfortunately paled in comparison, as it wasn’t given as much airtime and it seemed like the cared for the feelings and well-being of her lovers more. And the constant switching between various characters’ POV disrupted the flow a little. However, the events after the war started were very well written and I enjoyed the book overall.
