This book was a delight. I did not read this series in order but still enjoyed every bit. I also worked for this publisher when this book was published ◡̈

There's something about smart, driven characters in medical professions that always adds an extra layer of intrigue to a story. Plus, having both of them navigate their tough relationship histories—Briana going through a divorce and Jacob dealing with the added complication of his ex marrying his brother—sets the stage for a deeply emotional and intense romance. It’s definitely the kind of setup that makes you want to root for them, and Jacob seems like the type of guy we’d all want in our corner.
Jacob being described as the "sweetest, most wholesome book boyfriend" is so heartwarming, and I love that Abby Jimenez made his anxiety such a central part of his character. It's refreshing to hear that his anxiety was portrayed realistically. I’m always drawn to stories where mental health is handled with care, and it sounds like it was done really well here, making Jacob feel even more relatable and real.
That being said, I totally get why the conflict might have been a bit frustrating. Miscommunication-driven conflicts can definitely be a bit of a hit or miss for readers, especially if it feels like the issue could’ve been solved with a straightforward conversation. However, it’s good to know that the conflict fit with the characters' backstories, which always makes it a little more forgivable, even if it’s a bit exasperating to read at times.
Abby Jimenez clearly knows how to write compelling, emotional stories, and it sounds like *Just For The Summer* is one you’re really looking forward to! Her writing definitely seems to have that ability to hook readers and leave them excited for more.

i have tried to read abby jimenez so many times just to be disappointed an on a reading slump last book i’ll ever read from her

Enjoyable, witty, and romantic, in true Abby Jimenez fashion! Not my #1 of hers, but super fun nevertheless!

Abby Jimenez is always an auto read for me and this one didn’t fail to meet my love for her writing. Love being part of her readerdom!

I truly just love all of Abby's books and Yours Truly is an absolute gem. eEqual parts heart-melting, funny, and deeply emotional. Jacob? Total dreamboat. He’s sweet, thoughtful, and his vulnerability makes him even more lovable. The way his anxiety is portrayed feels so real and adds so much depth to his character. I felt so seen!!!

JACOB IS LITERAL PERFECTION!!
It’s been a long time since I’ve cried so hard reading a book. Abby can do no wrong.

And I thought the art of letter writing had been lost. And then Ms. Jimenez creates Dr. Jacob Maddox - the letter writing doctor you can’t help but fall in love with. Lunch dates in supply cupboards, letter writing and organ donations - this book as everything needed for a good love story.

I loved this book!!!! Everything Abby writes is fantastic and this one was just as amazing!!! I loved these characters and their dynamic!!! It totally tugged at my heartstrings !!

One of my favorite Abby Jimenez books!!!! My heart was so happy, I laughed, I cried, and then I read it all over again. Abby takes such important issues and addresses them so eloquently. I really really appreciated the way the anxiety was represented. As someone who has anxiety, I felt for Jacob so much and it was SO accurate. Jacob was everything I am so obsessed with him. This book was angsty, heartfelt, hilarious and I’m still thinking about it long after I closed the book. Cannot recommend it enough!!

Abby Jimenez is an absolute gem - her writing is always so whip smart and heartlfelt. I loved the mental health representation. I absolutely adored this book, and look forward to devouring her next book

I am truly convinced that Abby can do no wrong when it comes to writing a book. Loved Briana & Jacob, and loved this story!

Jimenez is quite possibly my favorite author. I read everything she writes and even had the opportunity to visit her cupcake shop in Minnesota last summer to get signed books and signature cupcakes.

I was kindly gifted an access to the ARC of this by Anby’s publishing team, thank you so much!!! (Sorry took me forever to post my reco)
Finished this book in a couple of sittings (last year April). I am in love with Abby’s medics love story, as an ED doc myself, it’s a breeze to read something light and heartwarming (amidst the hospital chaos). As I always say, there is always a finesse in how Abby writes her stories, including the sm*t part. Yours Truly is one of her best yet

Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez is a delightful romance that stays true to the author’s signature style. The story follows Dr. Briana Ortiz and Jacob Maddox, who strike up a fake relationship to help each other out, only to find themselves developing real feelings. Jimenez excels at creating relatable, endearing characters, and the chemistry between Bri and Jacob is electric. The plot is charming, filled with humor and emotional depth, and tackles themes of healing, trust, and love. While the storyline is familiar, Jimenez’s heartfelt writing and witty dialogue keep the story fresh and engaging. Like her other novels, this one balances sweet romance with meaningful moments. A solid 4-star read for fans of contemporary romance!
Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an eARC.

This was such a fun rom-com read. I loved the characters with real issues and real love. Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite authors and this book didn't disappoint.

Truly one of my favorite Abby Jimenez books. I will think about them forever. The representation in this book really hit home for me and let's not talk about the romance. These two are perfect for each other.

Loved the slow burn and tension. The anxiety rep was so well done, and even though the FMC frustrated me a lot in the second half, I thoroughly enjoyed this read!

While I usually always love Abby Jimenez’s books I have to give this one 3 stars. Now, the main reason why is because I couldn’t connect with the fmc. I was also going through a reading slump and it made it difficult for me to really get into it. It was a cute and easy read

Another fabulous book by Abby! Abby has an amazing way of fully immersing you into her worlds and making readers fall in love with her characters. I always have the worst book hangovers after finishing an Abby book.
