One word.....AMAZING!! This book had me hook, line and sinker by the second page. Abby knocked it out of the park again with this one. Reading this had me laughing and crying sometimes both at the same time. This was a quick read for me taking a day. Abby you have a true passion for writing and it shows in all of your books. Do yourself a favor and get lost in this book! You will not regret it.

I have been anxious to read Abby Jimenez’s work, it gets hyped on Instagram and I haven’t had a moment to check her out. Needless to say, the hype was warranted!

Another amazing book by Abby! As usual, she can masterfully craft a story that teaches, tears at our heartstrings, includes many laugh-out-loud moments…and follows all rules of intelligent romance. Truly Yours is her best book yet and Jacob is my favorite lead. As she always does, Abby includes a serious/medical slant; although organ donation may seem to be the theme, it focuses more on mental health and clinical anxiety. I loved the lens she allowed the readers to view different scenarios, and how different viewpoints could drastically interpret the same situation very differently. In this book, we have “look straight into your soul” insights, wicked humor, and many examples of how “love shows up” despite everything! Jacob and Bri are well-developed characters who know how to best show up for friends and family in ways the other person needs. I want to be friends with all the characters in The Friend Zone universe. Although this is a stand-alone book, those who have read her previous books will cherish the many Easter Eggs while reading.

I am so very thankful to get an early read of this book. The single downside is that I will now have to wait longer for her next book release! Yes, I can laugh, cry and enjoy sarcasm and wit while reading books by other great authors, but no one can master those things like Abby Jimenez! I’ll reread this one soon and anticipate what I know will be a great audiobook when that is released!

Thank you for this book in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the chance encounters between the main characters. This book was spicy, entertaining and screamed “Women power!” Abby Jimenez will always be an auto-buy author for me.

*thank you netgalley and the publisher for gifting me this arc in exchange for an honest review :) *

i loved this book. i liked seeing how brianna cared for jacob and how she was thoughtful in everything they did together pertaining to his anxiety. i also loved her character on its own because her “voice” is hilarious. i also loved jacob, he is a misunderstood character who once we get to know him (which is pretty early on) we get to see how much of a lovable cinnamon roll he is.

great representation for social anxiety.

4/5 stars

I absolutely did a happy dance to get to read Abby’s new book early from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley. It did not disappoint! Early on I was, like “hey ok, so more of the same.” But her banter and wit in her writing are top shelf, and I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT! By the end I was so invested in Jacob and Briana - both ER docs - and their journey and silly grinning!

Trigger warnings: miscarriage, divorce, abandonment trauma, social anxiety - although PAUSE HERE - I don’t know that I have ever get more seen by a complete stranger. Descriptions of inside my head with social anxiety were all of a sudden right in from of me and SPOT ON.

Abby’s hit a home run again, y’all. Just don’t even try to resist it.

A quick fun read because who doesn’t like a fake dating trope. I appreciated the in-depth character backstory as it made it easier to deal with the characters taking the majority of the book to deal with their feelings.

“That’s what love does. It shows up.”

Let me start by saying: there’s a new book boyfriend in town and his name is Jacob. 💓SWOON. The banter between Briana and Jacob was entertaining and at times, downright hilarious! And don’t even get me started on the TENSION between those two…🥵 but the miscommunication made me want to SCREAM “will one of you PLEASE tell the other you love them?!”
They were so opposite yet both so vulnerable that they were drawn to each other, even if they didn’t want to believe it.

I love the little nuggets Abby sprinkles in with characters from her previous books.

Things I especially loved:

• Badass ER physician, divorced heroine
Briana
• The passing of letters and Post-it notes
• Crying sessions + lunches in the ER
supply closet
• The Dirty Dancing references - it’ll get me
EVERY. TIME. 🍉
• Grandpa (he was my favorite side
character 🤣)
• Briana’s dating profile listed “must love
tacos” - because I FELT that.
• The ‘never-a-dull-moment’ life in the ER
• The catchphrase of the day
• The Author’s Note 🫶🏽
• Did I already mention : JACOB ?!

I am absolutely captivated by the way @authorabbyjimenez ‘s writing makes me realize (and even change) the way I viewed certain situations. This story is so much deeper than a rom-com. The issues are real and relatable. I loved this book so very much!

Yours Truly will grab your attention from the very first chapter! Instantly, you will find it hard to put this book down. You’ll want to know what happens next. I found myself sneaking in pages while the kids took showers, or reading a few pages before I was off to work. I highly recommend all of Abby’s books. They are all fantastic. You don’t have to read the other books first but it’s more fun to know the backstory of people mentioned. You’ll find their stories in the other books.

I was lucky enough to score an ARC of this novel months before it will hit shelves and I am so thankful for that! It was another homerun for Abby Jimenez 😍 I loved the premise of the book, I adored the letter writing (very Jane Austen-esque 🥰), and as always in her books, I laughed out loud often and cried nearly as much. It was just a beautiful love story with well-written characters. Jacob is my new favorite fictional BF. Like, he is the gold standard 💛 And, as someone who deals with anxiety, I appreciated how well that was written into the book. I look forward to purchasing this book when it comes out so I can reread it many more times ❤️❤️

I received noticed of approval to an advance reader copy the morning my husband left town for two days. I was grateful that I could ignore my household until I was finished reading, because I knew once I started reading, I wouldn't want to put it down! This is the fifth book by Abby Jimenez I have read.

As always, Abby has created such RELATABLE and REAL characters with real flaws. She doesn't skirt around hard life and relationship issues, but is so good at illustrating how they influence a person, long after an experience has passed. As is common is most romance stories, the one thing that always drives me crazy is that if people would just communicate clearly from the start, they wouldn't have so many issues! But then we wouldn't have all this sexual tension to write about, either! 😂 Briana was such a compassionate character in how she dealt with a mental health issue, as if it was not at all a "flaw," but just a part of a person to be understood. It was very refreshing, and could serve readers as a guide to empathetically treat others around them, and not make assumptions about peoples' behaviors. This was probably my favorite part of the book. If we can truly seek to understand other peoples' motivations behind their actions, we might find that at least 35% of them aren't totally off their rockers!

If you have a large, involved family, you'll appreciate (or not! 😂) the interactions and loyalty between siblings and parents; that same love and care is shown in the small family, as well. Both main characters came from loving, supportive families, but the families looked VASTLY different, in every way imaginable. It proves that everyone ends up at least a tiny bit screwed up, no matter your origin, and everyone can use a good therapist! 😉

There is a dog and a cat in this book, I think that is important to mention. The cat plays a minor role, but the dog is secretly the star. Nothing bad happens to the dog! (Yes, that's a spoiler, but it's just to set your mind at ease.)

I will continue to be on the hunt for ARCs of Abby's books, because I can never wait to get my hands on them, and I will always preorder her books, because they are reliably GREAT reads. The combination of REAL characters; fun, witty conversations; relatable, even sometimes heavy topics; and satisfying endings always leaving me wondering why she can't write 24/7. I mean, does she REALLY need sleep? And maybe she could have someone feed her while she continues to write? I guess I'll settle for one book every year or two so she can enjoy the fruits of her labor.

This was a return to form for Abby Jimenez! While I've enjoyed all of her books, my favorite is The Friend Zone and this book is on its level! Highly entertaining with a serious issue handled delicately.

Abby has done it again. I devoured this book just as I have done all her others. The storyline, the characters and their development, the writing...everything is just *chef's kiss*. Abby has a talent for bringing everything together so beautifully including character growth and development. I loved Jacob and Briana and found them to be two of the most relatable characters I have ever read for different reasons. You can tell Abby does a lot of research into her character's traits and the difficult situations/topics that occur in each of her books. The anxiety Jacob wrestles with is spot on. The trust and self-worth Bri struggles with in moving on and allowing herself to accept love and be loved is so accurate. Abby's books just continue to get better and better with each one. Though Part of Your World remains my favorite of hers, Yours Truly ranks a very very close second. Each of her books make you want to devour them immediately in one setting and yet want to savor them and not want them to end. I can't wait to re-read it.
Thank you to NetGalley and Team Abby (Abby, Estelle and Forever Grand Central Publishing) for the opportunity to read this book.

I really enjoyed this book and learning more about Bri. Bri's connection with Jacob is so inspiring and I couldn't put this book down once I started it. Another great book by Abby Jimenez. Thank you Abby for being so vulnerable and opening up about this story and how it relates to you personally. I can't wait to read whatever you write next.

I enjoyed Part of Your World so much - I was looking forward to Bri's story! Jimenez more than delivered! I loved this book so much and couldn't put it down. I appreciated how Jacob's anxiety was presented in a realistic way but that it made him no less worthy. Can't wait to see what comes next from Abby Jimenez.

As with all of the books I've read by Abby Jimenez, this book did not disappoint. The amount of research that goes into her character development is evidenced during these beautiful stories she weaves together. This book focused on Bri and Jacob's story. This is the first time that I, as the reader, have felt that a character with anxiety (Jacob) was described both accurately and sensitively and that representation was something I haven't seen done before.

An 'enemies' to lovers story, that starts with letter writing and unfolds into a beautiful relationship, I could not put this book down. It was filled with the witty humor and a love story that at times will make you weep along with the characters. This was, by far, my favorite book Abby has put out to date. I cannot recommend this book enough! Definitely 5 stars!

I’m not sure how she does it but every new book Abby writes is better than the one before it. I absolutely loved this book. I related to it so much with the different aspects of the anxiety and trying to handle it. I can never recommend any of Abbys books enough.

5 Stars! I could not put it down!

Abby Jimenez has written another beautiful novel with Yours Truly.

The two main characters, Briana and Jacob, are both ER doctors and work in the same hospital. From (almost) the beginning, they have excellent chemistry and banter. Give me all the great banter and I’m hooked.

This book also has plenty of swoon-worthy romance. The author describes Jacob as “my best cinnamon roll yet and by far my favorite hero of all time.” Jacob has set the bar very high. Prepare to be swept away by their hard-fought love story told through each of their POVs using narrative, letters and one spectacular phone call. You’ll know when you get to THE phone call.

I appreciate that Jimenez doesn’t shy away from tough topics in her novels. The tough topics add depth and relatability which draws you in even more. The book compassionately deals with divorce, kidney disease, depression, anxiety, and abandonment issues. Make sure you read the Author’s Note at the end of the novel as she sheds light on why she writes about these particular topics. It made me love the novel even more.

It’s the kind of book you don’t want to end – it’s that good.

Big thanks to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

I throughly enjoyed Briana and Jacob’s story, and I found myself loving having a quiet hero. Jacob was soft and comforting and being in his head with his anxiety was almost comforting at times. I could see myself in both of them through this book, Briana with her fierce need to be independent because the people that should of protected you failed you, and Jacob with his anxiety of being a burden to those he loves.

Safe to say, Abby is officially an auto buy author for me and I can not wait to see who she introduces to us next.
