I loved loved this book and could not put it down! Dr. Brianna Ortiz learned at a young age that she couldn't trust men after her dad left, and then it was cemented when her husband cheated, and they divorced. Dr. Jacob Maddox was also out of a funky dating situation, only that his ex started dating his BROTHER! The story goes on to be a fake dating situation of the best kind. I also want to gush and say that Dr. Jacob Maddox is my favorite man in the series. His struggles with anxiety and generosity were so tender. Abby Jimenez is so good at telling a romantic story and subtly connecting the books with the others she's written.

Another win by Abby Jimenez! I was lucky enough to get a copy of an ARC and I zoomed through this in 2 days! Brianna and Jacob may be my favorite couple from the Abby-verse yet. They are both so great for each other. The way Brianna understands Jacob's needs to deal with his anxiety and the way Jacob wants to protect Brianna due to her trust issues was very touching. So much laughing and swooning to be had with this book.. you won't regret reading it!

Abby Jimenez has done it again. I can't put her books down.
I especially enjoyed this book because Jacob, like myself, suffers from anxiety. I could relate to a lot of what was happening in the book from his perspective. But I also learned some things about my anxiety that I hadn't realized until reading this book. There are things no one talks about and you don't know to ask, or know if it's related to anxiety, or if anyone else in the entire world does the strange things that you do!
I could also relate to Briana with a relationship ending and deciding to never date again. These characters were very relatable people.
I love the way the book is written, each chapter in one character's perspective. It makes it hard to put the book down. I can't wait to see the next character's opinion on the events that are unfolding.
You know it's a good book when you laugh and cry.

I loved this book. The dual point of view is done wonderfully and adds a lot. I especially appreciated the detailed and compassionate look into anxiety and how it impacts every part of ones life.

This book will squeeze your heart, make you cry then laugh out loud then cry some more because it’s over. Jacob and Bri’s love story is unlike anything I’ve read. They are so well written- I don’t think I’ve read a character written better than Jacob, like EVER. He’s incredible….You’re left feeling humbled in so many ways, and honored to have met them.
Abby’s books will always hold a special place in my heart- they’re never just a romcom, they’re love stories that touch on deep social issues. Your Truly’s characters dealt with mental health, social anxiety and re-learning how to trust. Organ donation and how life changing it can be is also a key theme in this book.
As always, after reading Abby’s books, you are left a better, more compassionate human. It’s always a privilege reading her books.

Dr. Brianna Ortiz is an ER doctor with a lot going on—hoping to become head doctor, her divorce finalizes this week, and her younger brother’s chronic kidney problems are getting worse. She meets the newest addition to the ER, Dr. Jacob Maddox and after a rough start, they start to become friends. Bri agrees to be his fake GF around his family.
Very fun book. I laughed out loud a bunch and also was very moved multiple times.
I am going to use a quote from my last Abby Jimenez review: The book just flew by and I read it in a day. The world needs a lot more Jacobs in it.

This book is amazing. Just when I think the books can't get better I am proven wrong again! Can't wait to hear the audiobook!

Every time I read a book by Abby I'm blown away and it becomes my favorite. After I devoured The Friend Zone in a day I couldn't wait to read her next one and had no idea it would grip me just like the 1st. That trend has not ended with every book since. But, Yours Truly has touched my soul because I deal with anxiety. The way she wrote from the anxious side of Jacob made me feel so seen and not alone. Anxiety is a trip. But her writing made me feel like it was something I could overcome. Obviously the love story is always captivating and I have fallen in love once again with our guy hero. All of my book boyfriends Abby has written. Don't tell my husband 🤫 don't waste your time on the fence with this one GET IT ASAP. A story of real love one that features two people who are responding out of a traumatic place was definitely needed in this romance industry. It's not easy to have a relationship and LOVE when you're wounded or dealing with a mental illness. It was beautifully written in this story line and I can't wait to read it a second time. So, spend your money. You won't regret it!

Ever since I read The Friend Zone by her, Abby Jimenz has won a place in my heart. She writes the realest, most quirky characters and has a knack for bringing them to live on the page. The characters in this book were so relatable to me for so many reasons. She made Jacob's anxiety so heard in this book. So many people, including myself, suffer from anxiety and I loved how Abby was able to showcase how it affects every day life so amazingly. The instant attraction and sexual tension between Jacob and Briana was phenomenal. Yours truly was truly everything I had hoped it would be and another win from this author. 4.5/5

This was my first book by this author and I have to say, I’m completely obsessed.
This book was EVERYTHING. I loved Briana and Jacob so much. I loved the anxiety representation. My heart completed MELTED for Jacob. He was such a gentle, sweet, kind man. Like I actually felt so many emotions.
Him and Briana were perfection together. Omg.
They were definitely bigger people because I would have totally hated Briana’s ex and Jacob’s ex and brother lol.
So beyond to get this book in a physical copy. Hands down one of my all time favorite books now.

Abby Jimenez can do no wrong. I read her books before I knew she was a local Minnesota author. I read her books not knowing she owned Nadia Cakes. When I read Part of Your World last year, I sobbed and sobbed. That book just hit so close to home [I will re-share my review for that one in my stories if you want more info on that one]. So, knowing that POYW was one of the top books I’ve ever read, I’ll be honest, I was a bit nervous about reading Yours Truly. When Abby told her FB group it would be on NetGalley at 7am eastern time a few weeks ago, I was in Hawaii, meaning that it would go on NetGalley at 1am Hawaii time. You bet your ass that I set an alarm and woke up at 1am to be one of the first 200 people to download it on NetGalley while it was a “read now”. Even know, not sure how I’ll survive without a physical version to hold until April when this book releases!
Ok, ok, to the review. This book, as per usual, deals with some heavy topics and has a ton of depth. This makes it more than a romcom and, for me, makes it real. Jacob & Bri are wonderful. Jacob as social anxiety and I loved that this was worked into the book. As an anxious & overthinking person myself, seeing what was going on in Jacobs brain was comforting to me, because ya know, my brain works that way too. That made this book real to me. Bri is a strong, smart, independent woman who’s had a history of men leaving her, and not trusting her heart. And I just loved her journey.
I love how Abby ties all her books together too. Mentions of many of her past characters were in there - so subtly you might have missed it. Alexis and Wakan made an appearance, which made me happy. I am always here for the little bit of Wakan magic, too.
The meet cute was funny and absolutely something that could happen to anyone. The organ donation subplot is near and dear to my heart. In this book, it was a kidney donation. One day, my sister may need a liver transplant due to a liver disease, and I don’t have her blood type, meaning I’m not a match. So, once again, Abby hitting me hard with the feels and writes stories that could be real life.
I love love love when Abby brings Minnesota into her books. And yay, this one’s set in Minnesota. From Nadia Cakes to a Juicy Lucy’s [IYKYK], I was smiling the entire time. Also, following Abby on social media & being in her FB group, I get a slightly deeper glimpse into her life. Which means I know when she writes some things into her books that happened irl <I’m looking at you penis charcuterie board & dick switches>. I literally spit out the water I was drinking when these came up in the book, because I remember her posting about both of those last year. She cracks me up. OH, and she’s just as funny irl, too. Abby is a hilarious human being and I want to be her.
Now, the miscommunication trope. This is *not* my favorite thing ever and never will be. However, it works in this book because of who the characters are. I did find myself rolling my eyes a few times because HELLO JUST TALK BRI & JACOB. I’ve wracked my brain though too, and there wouldn’t have been another trope that worked here. This didn’t take away from the story for me, but I know that trope isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
Anyway, go read this book asap & buy when it comes out.
Thank you Abby, thank you Estelle from Forever publishing and thank you NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Abby is one of my favorite ROM COM authors and this book continues to validate that. This book was funny, had some drama, cute and I absolutely loved the characters.

Oh Abby Jimenez....is it even possible for you to write a book that I give less than 5 stars?!? At this point, I think not. Abby's latest book (releasing on April 11, 2023) again knocks it out of the park. The story is so many good things at once...hysterically funny, incredibly sad, frustrating, loving, and SO spot on portraying so many real human emotions. I hysterically laughed (thanks for making everyone on the soccer sidelines realize I wasn't paying attention!), I cried sad tears, I cried happy tears...but in the end, it's the best kind of Happily Ever After...
The story follows Dr. Briana Ortiz (best friend of Alexis from Part of your World-we are fortunate to get a glimpse into Alexis and Daniel and "where they are now" in Yours Truly...) and her "situation-ship" with Dr. Jacob Maddox who is new in her ER. I can't go into too many details without including spoilers...just know you should immediately pick up this book and read it. Trigger warning though, the story touches on issues of long term health issues including severe anxiety, organ transplant, divorce/cheating, and pregnancy loss....AND YES I STILL LAUGHED, and loved this book. I think if you love someone who has anxiety, this will be a great insight into their daily struggles in relationships, and it will give you so much hope for how when love shows up...it makes such a difference. I was fortunate enough to receive a complimentary Advance Copy of Yours Truly thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing, all opinions are my own. This story can stand alone, but it's helpful if you have read Part of Your World prior to reading Yours Truly.

Thank you to #partner Read Forever Publishing for our copy of Yours Truly by Abby Jimenz.

Genre: Romance
Thoughts: HER 👏 BEST 👏 BOOK 👏 YET! This book y'all is everything. I mean everything! 📣
I look forward to reading her next book all year long. The beauty and depth of this story is perfection. Briana is fierce and broken....struggling and strong, but honestly my favorite part of the book might have been Jacob. The portrayl of mental illness (specifically anxiety) was so well done. I just think these characters were both so real, which made their romance even more beautiful. 😍
Read this book if you like:
💌 books that deal with illness
💌 fake relationships turned real
💌 romance novels of any kind!
💌 even if you don't love romance this book is so much more than that! Just pick it up!!!

This is Brianna’s story from Part of Your World and it was EVERYTHING. Oh my gosh Brianna and Jacob have my entire heart and then some. This book had everything you could hope for. Mental health representation, fake dating, HANDWRITTEN LOVE LETTERS. Overcoming betrayal and abuse with someone new who proves to stay and cherish you.
I CRIED. Like sobbed like a baby at the end. Ugh. I can’t thank Abby enough for this ARC, but don’t worry, I’ve already preordered the physical copy because I just have to have this one. I won’t get over this one for a long long time. I’m calling this as one of my favorite reads of the year.

Abby had done it again! 10/10 MUST read!
A heart warming, yet heart rending book, that touches on the often poorly described realities of living with anxiety, a chronically ill loved one, and from past trauma.
You will laugh and cry reading this book, finish it, then want to re read it again to catch Easter eggs from previous books.
She nails what it’s like to work in a hospital setting, and as a RN, that’s always something that is easy to get me out of the story, as it’s not comparable with reality.
Everything from start to finish was a joy to read, I could Not put this book down!

I don't know how Abby does it, but I love the characters within the books more and more with each book she writes. I loved this book. Briana was broken and a whole lot jaded by the world (rightfully) and needed someone patient and kind to help her back to herself. Jacob was anxious and maybe a little bit lost after his last relationship ended. Somehow their broken pieces fit the other person broken pieces and they were able to find themselves again and become somewhat whole.
I would have liked to of seen a little bit more groveling from Jeremiah and Amy. It felt a little incomplete for the part they played in Jacob's anxiety.
Overall, I loved it and can't wait for its release so everyone can read it!

Wow! What a roller coaster of emotions while reading “Yours Truly”. Without giving any spoilers, it has some sensitive subjects but I’m so happy to see them talked about. The love story is so “real” and Briana went through several things that so many of us can relate to. Well written as usual by Abby. I think this one is my favorite though I adore all of them. ❤️❤️

I absolutely loved this book! I’ve read all of Abby’s books and this is probably my favorite one! Bri’s story had some very unexpected moments and Jacob is seriously perfect. I love how love showed up and they both learned how to deal with their insercurities togetherI. loved how their families were involved and also the cameo from Alexis and Daniel.

I’ll preface the review by saying I got approved as I was getting on a plane to go out of town. I had the option of extending my trip and I didn’t so I could back home to read. Was it worth it? 100%. I was so eager to read Brianna’s story. I loved her spark in Part of Your World. She was everything I had hope and more. I tried to go into the book blindly and avoid spoilers. Im glad I did.
The characters are well developed. I could identify with Jacob, and it was reassuring to read about anxiety. As a nurse I don’t like medical stories because they are often off, this was not the case. I could tell Abby did her due diligence. It was accurate and not far fetched. I laughed, paused and felt deeply their communication. I was glad to have some Alexis and Daniel still. Their families were excellent side stories, they complement the main characters without derailing the plot and the reader lose interest. Im deeply appreciative to have had the opportunity to read this book in advance. I’ll be purchasing the signed copy and the Audiobook.
