The second book in "Part of your World" series by Abby Jimenez, follows Briana (Bri) Ortiz's story. Her brother is in need of a kidney and Jacob Maddox, her love-interest, is in need of a fake girlfriend. You can never go wrong with the fake dating trope, plus add in a sprinkle of angsty communication,
"Use me," he said, his eyes resigned. "Use me for whatever you want. Just stay."
*Sigh* Jacob Maddox. A new book boyfriend to obsess over. I absolutely adored this book. I loved the characters and the plot!

Happy pub day to this book that I loved! I loved Part of Your World last year, and Yours Truly is in the same adorable, amazingly written vein. The letter writing is so cute and the characters are already so well fleshed out. I just love Abby Jimenez. I also love that her books are set in Minnesota where I live, reading about familiar places is so fun! Bri and Jacob are two of my favorite romance hero’s in a long time. Their struggles are real and raw and they were portrayed in such a healthy way. I highly recommend this book!

Thank you so much @readforeverpub for the gifted copy of Yours Truly!

This is a first read author for me, having read all of her books, which is a rare statement from me since there are so many authors in the world. Jimenez always writes a book that makes me have all the feelings from high to low and back. Able to be read as a standalone, it is part of a series, but grab this even if you haven't read others by her. Share this one with friends going through donation process, as this is an uplifting story of finding your match. If you aren't signed up to be an organ donor, here's your chance, you might just be the person to save another with your kindness. This review is my own opinion but I did receive a free ARC from NetGalley.

Oh Abby – you continue to do no wrong! Yours Truly was a HIGHLY ANTICIPATED novel of 2023 and I’m thrilled to say it absolutely delivered. If you’ve read Part Of Your World, you’ll recognize a few of the characters, since Alexis’ friend Briana is now the lead.

With a sick brother and recently finalized divorce papers, the last thing Briana needs is a surly doctor competing for her promotion. Jacob immediately pisses off her and the nurses, so she’s determined to hate his guts. Until he writes her a sincere apology letter. As they continue to communicate through letters, then texts, and finally start hanging out, she finds herself wanting him more than anything else.

Once again, Abby elevates a simple romance to stellar levels. These two are not without their issues – and they are forced to work through them with lots of difficulty, making any resolution that much sweeter!

Abby Jimenez knows how to write soulmates like no one else.
These two main characters are truly meant to be and every single sentence in this book reinforces that. From the quotes to their actions, this is exactly what romance books are supposed to be and how they are supposed to feel.

Please go read this book. You will laugh and cry and feel all of the feels but at the end you will be so thankful that you did because this story is just beautiful and touching

Another amazing book by Abby Jimenez! She has quickly become an auto-buy author for me. I love her characters, and story lines, and weaving in of past characters, but most of all the humor! Grandpa and the parrot in Yours Truly had me laughing out loud. My favorite rom com books are the ones that carefully dive into deeper topics without feeling heavy and this book is a great example. Anxiety, health crisis, aging, all along with humor, romance and enemies-to-lovers trope. It all works so well and is a delightful read! I also love that the author uses a sensitivity reader and thorough research to get the details right.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for an e-galley of Yours Truly.

Abby Jimenez does it again. I absolutely adored this book from start to finish. Brianna is hoping for a fresh start post divorce - one that hopefully comes with a promotion at work. However, the new ED physician seems to be throwing a kink in that. And in most other plans she has.

But when a tentative truce seems to be in place, Brianna discovers Jacob is more than her initial impression. As their relationship at work grows stronger, both realize that there is the potential for more. Throw in a dash of fake dating and you have the perfect beach read for this summer.

What a romance. I am floored.

I am over the moon obsessed with Jacob. He is the sweetest and most caring fictional man I've read to date; I would *insert lyrics to Bruno Mars' Grenade here* for him.

Briana was such a realistic and likeable fmc as well! She has some presumptions about Jacob at first, learns that she's wrong, and then ACTUALLY feels terrible for being terrible to him! And tries to make up for it! I know that sounds obvious, but I feel like this was so refreshing to see. You go, Briana, you capable af doctor who is emotionally mature enough to admit when you're wrong.

Did I mention the two trade letters and notes as their first means of contact in the beginning? I love epistolary romances so I'll take any shape or form of the sort I can get.

Now something about me: I'm team "I don't like miscommunication". It annoys me to no end when the main conflict in a story, or the thing keeping the two MCs apart, could be resolved with ONE QUICK CONVERSATION, and is dragged throughout the story. But I admit that miscommunication is a genuine crux of relationships. People in relationships miscommunicate all the time, the fear of rejection keeps people from saying how they feel, I get it. It doesn't mean I have to like it, but I get it.

Briana and Jacob are fake dating in this for reasons and quickly develop feelings for the other but don't do anything about it because ~miscommunication~. Granted Jacob does unsuccessfully try to get himself from fake boyfriend to real boyfriend territory. Good try, bud. I didn't entirely hate the miscommunication though. The two still got closer regardless and I think my liking both characters so wholly helped me look past my reservations.

What's keeping this from five stars is the encounter Briana has with her ex. I did not expect just seeing her ex-husband would put her in such a spiral and vehement denial of the burgeoning relationship she has with Jacob. It was shitty and I wasn't a fan.

That aside, this was really amazing and I can see myself revisiting this just to experience the happy feelings this brought me.

This is my favorite from Jimenez yet. I absolutely loved the story and dynamic between the two characters. Not only is it my favorite of Jimenez's, but it is also one of my favorite books of the year. I have recommending it to everyone!

I have always been a long-time fan of Abby- she was on my auto-buy list for the longest time. I took a break from her books and decided to give her a shot again, and hot damn.

This book was spectacular.! I finished it within a few days and couldn't put it down.

I mean a book about two doctors who are fake dating so that he can get to family functions without embarrassment. And a boy with a kidney problem trying to survive

I loved everything about this book and will now read the previous book.

Fantastic - I highly recommend

In true Abby Jimenez fashion,Yours Truly is a wonderful, feel-good love story with real heart. I loved the hospital setting. I loved the fake dating trope. I loved all of the scenes with the families and the banter... it was just all great! There are definitely some trigger warnings to be looked at before you open up as I went in blind and wasn't expecting some of the content. Overall, I thought it was super cute and right in line with her other books. Abby Jimenez is a fave of mine and I have yet to read a book of hers that I didn't eat up in a day or two!

Laughing moments, heartfelt moments and all the in between!

Her stories continue to get better and better!

4.5🌟Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez

Ever since I read The Friend Zone last year I’ve been hooked on Abby Jimenez romances! Yours Truly was so good and I can definitely say it’s my new favorite of her books.

What I love the most about Jimenez books is that they aren’t just romances. Each of her books include characters with real life struggles and in this story we saw first hand what it’s like for someone to live with anxiety and the struggles of kidney disease and dialysis.

Yours Truly is a novel full of terrible first impressions, hilarious second chances, and the joy in finding your perfect match. Dr Briana Ortiz is a mess - her divorce is about to be finalized, her brother is suffering from a failing kidney and needs a donor asap, and the new promotion she wants is likely going to the new, hot doctor who is driving her absolutely insane - Dr Jacob Maddox. But then Jacob starts writing her letters and starts to prove to Briana that maybeeeee he isn’t the worst guy and is actually quite funny and enjoyable. Jacob ends up being a perfect donor match for Briana’s brother. She can’t possibly figure out how to thank him, until he asks her for a huge favor - to pretend to be his girlfriend for his brothers wedding.

I think the fake-dating trope in a romance novel is my new favorite! Are you into fake-dating? Enemies to lovers?

Thank you @netgalley for the advanced readers copy of this one!

I have a love hate relationship with Abby's books. She writes the best, SWEETEST men, but the miscommunication trope is just SO OVER DONE. i loved the first half but was pulling my hair out in the second

Loved this Romantic Comedy by Abby Jimenez. I really enjoyed Part of Your World and was eager to read this one. I enjoyed the fake dating and miscommunication tropes, even though those aren't my usual go-to tropes. I thought the slow burn romance worked in this case because it allowed for things to progress naturally. I love that Jimenez gives us dual POV in her books so we can read what each main character is thinking and feeling. I thought she handled the difficult topics of anxiety, trauma and mental health with care. I really appreciated the author’s note as well.

For fans of romance books that have more depth to them, look no further! I tend to love books in this genre that deal with more than surface attraction, so this one was very much up my alley as it starred a male MC with an anxiety disorder and a female MC with a brother on kidney dialysis.

Dr. Briana Ortiz is grappling with her divorce while trying to find a kidney donor for her brother when a handsome new doctor swoops into her ER and she hears he may be getting the promotion she deserves. Dr, Jacob Maddox is trying to find his footing in a new hospital while navigating his anxiety disorder when he meets Briana, a stunning doctor that he seems to have wronged with his very existence. The pair get off to a rocky start, but soon find a footing and realize they can help each other out. The sparks start flying but neither believes the other’s feelings are more than what they say.

I loved Briana and Jacob together and thought the heavier themes were dealt with well. I am not a huge fan of the miscommunication trope (I just want the adults to talk to each other LOL!) but I cared about this pair. I also loved that they were older. This romance book is a little steamy but not extremely explicit, and I rooted for them!

(Do NOT skip Jimenez’s author’s note at the end of the book 😭.) I haven’t read her before but can’t wait to read the rest of her works.

Full disclosure: I haven’t read “Part of Your World” yet and other reviews of “Yours Truly” say this had some spoilers in it, as they inhabit the same world.

✨Trigger Warnings: Panic Attacks, Infidelity, Chronic Illness, Mental Illness, Medical Content, Pregnancy, Miscarriage

Thanks for Forever Pub and Net Galley for this advanced copy!

This book is wonderful, full stop. It handles sensitive topics with grace and realism, a hard balance to achieve. Jacob's anxiety rep was some of the most honest I've read- I was so nervous for him. And Briana was the most loyal protector. I'd love to have a woman like her in my corner. It was a slow burn, and while the physical aspects of Bri and Jacob's relationship ended up taking a backseat, I didn't necessarily mind it in this book, the way I would have in a weaker book. Jimenez manages to make even side characters come alive, and there is a point for every interaction, every small conversation and exchanged glance. I finished this book in under a day, and it's only cemented what I've expected for a long time: Abby Jimenez is one of my absolute favorites.

Oh Abby!!!

I don't think I've read one book that I haven't fallen in love with! Oh my goodness Jacob! I think you're my absolute favorite male character in the Part of Your World series.

I laughed, I cried, and couldn't get enough of this book.

Dr. Jacob Maddox he is the new ER doctor and suffers from anxiety and social anxiety. Briana Ortiz an ER doctor definitely doesn't have the best first impression for Jacob. So, Jacob decides to write Briana a letter.

The letters!!! Ahh... one of the best parts in this book.

The chemistry between Briana and Jacob of course is off the charts and the entire cast of characters is just so much fun.

Grumpy ol Maddox, the foul mouthed parrot Jafar, and the three legged dog Lieutenant Dan.

The only minor issue I had was the miscommunication trope added which was a bit frustrating between the two.

This is another easy 5 star review for me.

Abby can you write another book already?!

Thank you so much to Forever pub and netgalley!!

I am giving this 4 stars because I absolutely adored the first 4/5 of the book. It was overdone fake dating trope book, but the characters were very well developed, the chemistry was amazing. The miscommunication was overdone to the nth degree, but the dialogue and inner dialogue of the characters were **Chef's Kiss** and so clever. I fell head over heels for Jacob (I love a good misunderstood man). I like Brianna like 2/3 of the time, and the other 1/3 I was like she doesn't deserve love because she is so damn negative and whiny, for the love of everything holy. The whole breakdown over the ex was so ridiculous. **eye roll** Although, I did like the revenge she doled out.

Thank you so much to #Netgalley and Grand Central Publishing for this ARC of a delightful book.
