Every time I read a Abby Jimenez book I think no other book will ever top it and then she writes another one and it’s my new favorite. This one is so special. Bri is SO well-written. She has depth that I’ve never read before and even with her flaws she is aspirational. And Jacob. Abby writes the BEST men and Jacob joins a league of complex but wonderful (and great in bed) men that never lets you sit the book down.

Abby does it again! I have read all of Abby's books and somehow they get better and better each time. After reading “Part of Your World”, I could not wait for her next book to tell the story of Bri. This book hits so many different subjects and really gives all the feels that Abby likes to take you on. It touches on some important topics like mental health and anxiety without stigmatizing it. Abby Jimenez has a way of writing that brings you in and connects you to the characters in a way no other author does. Every character is a fleshed-out person. Briana's inner monologue had me laughing out loud at various points of the book. Abby’s dialogue is witty and so fun to read! Her storytelling perfectly intertwines heavy subjects with light hearted humor and romance. There is a character in every book to relate to. I absolutely loved the dual POV. It’s always great to get both MC’s perspectives and thoughts in a romance. It makes the story so much better. I loved the way they finally got to know one another through letters. I loved seeing Alexis and Daniel again and that Briana and Jacob got to experience a little Wakan magic for themselves. I love Alexis and Briana’s friendship so much. All of the other little Easter eggs about Abby’s other characters were awesome! The pets in this book are amazing and will keep you laughing. Jacob's family was one of my favorite aspects of this book. If you’ve never read her before, you’re missing out. You will not be disappointed and you might just find your new favorite author. I will be recommending this to everyone I know. Thanks to Abby Jimenez, Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an e-arc in exchange for my thoughts. I CANNOT wait to read what Abby writes next!

I have loved every single one of Abby's books, but this just might be the best - it's so hard to pick a favourite because she's just such an incredibly talented author and they're all so amazing and unique in their own ways!
I might identify with this one a bit more because I have really reduced kidney function numbers that are constantly monitored, but luckily not in the extreme danger zone that main character Briana's brother Benny is at (where he's on dialysis and the donor list and keeps ending up in the ER). I also used to have a similar name to her but disliked it so much I legally changed! LOL! Every time her name came up, I cringed... but that's completely a "me" problem. There's nothing wrong with the book or the characters!! it's really just that name.
Briana and Jacob completely start out on the wrong foot when he arrives as a new attending ER physician at her hospital and they're competing for the new supervisory position that she was promised. He struggles with severe social anxiety and doesn't know how to behave in social situations, most especially a brand-new workplace, and the pair clashes from the moment they run into each other (quite literally). Slowly but surely, they start to figure things out and she figures out his anxiety and needs, and they form a friendship. He learns (quickly) about Benny's need for a kidney and starts looking into what it would take to donate, since someone had donated to his mother when she was in-need. They first clash over the use of a supply closet where she would run to take breaks, cry, etc. and then learn how to co-exist and use it together. He writes her a letter, then a series of letters are exchanged, to apologize and explain their first meeting and his anxiety, and thus the friendship and coexistence starts to bloom. Everything builds from here into such an amazing story - and you all just have to read it!! It's beautiful, poignant, heartwarming, really great depth and emotion, the characters go through so much growth, and this is more than a great love story!
I wouldn't change a thing about this book, the storyline or the characters (except Briana's name, but again - a "me" issue!), and I'm definitely going to be recommending everyone pick up a copy on release day and beyond. Everything from Abby Jimenez is top-notch and this one is no exception. I highly recommend this, and her entire catalogue, to absolutely everybody, and especially the audiobooks because she always gets the very best narrators around!
I received an advance review copy from NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing), and this is my honest feedback.

Abby has done it again. This book was fabulous. I’ve been hoping to get picked to read this book early and I was so excited when I was presented with the chance to do so.
I loved Briana in part of your world so I knew I was going to like her in this book too. It was great to feel like I could savor this book and not rush through it. Unfortunately, I still couldn’t put the book down.
Abby handles difficult topics well and her books are always a must read for me!

What a great book! I love everything by this author and this book was no different! I couldn't put this down and was up all night waiting to see how it ended!

I'm always on the hunt for a romance that leaves me starry-eyed, but this one missed the mark. I really liked that Jacob's character had struggles not normally referenced for a male character and I really wanted to love the book based on that alone. Overall, the characters felt too "young" in their actions for their career paths. I think the casual romance reader will love this novel, it just didn't hit the mark for my taste.

What can I even say?! This book is exquisite! Such an easy 5 stars for me!
Truly unputdownable... and I wanted to start it over immediately after I finished it! Because it is *exquisite* *perfection*
My entire heart was in my eyes and throat by Chapter 3. 😍
This is a workplace romance between two doctors. They have a bit of a rough start that involves a broken phone, a misunderstanding, and a supply closet ("the sob closet"), but they start writing letters to each other and become friends. We've got other tropes, too, like "fake dating" and "offering a kidney to your sick brother." Oh, that second one isn't a trope? That's just Abby Jiminez's most precious hero ever, Jacob? Well this book has THAT, and you need to read it. This is one I plan to read/audiobook again and again.
Read this if you love:
• smiling while reading
• laughing and being happy. I'm not even kidding you, if you like being happy then I'm telling you, you'll love this book.
• romance with well-developed characters, gorgeous growth arcs, mutual pining, letters, and well deserved happy endings!
Do you even need me to say more?! Okay, I will. The letters! "Dearest Briana" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
• Forget being inspired by the steam scenes. I am leaving my husband love letters around the workplace (our home) and he better be ready to bring his A game.
• The pace, the pining, the angst, the healing, the anxiety rep (so well done, my goodness!)
• I imagine Abby Jiminez was laughing herself silly while writing this only one bed scenario. It is hilarious.
• Too pure for this world, Jacob?! Yes. And so is this book! I think it ties for my favorite Abby Jiminez book along with Life's Too Short.
Most importantly, Abby created a romance with fully developed characters, their motivations and decisions are true to themselves, and the way that they fell in love feels real. As a reader, you cannot help but fall in love with them as they fall for each other. It is everything I love about romance. These characters are meant for each other and you never doubt that for a second. I hold this one so close to my heart.
Thank you so much Netgalley and Forever for the chance to read an e-ARC. All of these thoughts and opinions are my own!
CW: anxiety, on page panic attacks, off page miscarriage, pregnancy, infidelity (in past), not an exhaustive list.

Thoughts 💬
Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite romance authors, and her newest book, Yours Truly didn’t disappoint.
Briana’s life has hit a bump. Her divorce is soon to be finalized and her younger brother needs a kidney transplant. Now, she’s up for a promotion, but her boss has brought in a new doctor to compete for the spot. When Briana and Jacob (the new Dr) start communicating via letter, neither expects to fall in love.
I’ll admit the beginning of this story was slow. I wasn’t totally invested. But I love Jimenez’s books so I pushed on, and I’m so happy I did. The story picks up around the halfway point and so much happens.
I loved both Briana and Jacob which made it easy for me to read through the slow start. I thought both characters were witty and relatable. Plus, I think Jimenez did a great job showing Jacob’s anxiety and portraying it.
Both love interests have a lot going on behind the scenes and the difficult topics are handled quiet well.
I’m super excited for Yours Truly to be out in the world April 11!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for this ARC of Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez. Think Grey's Anatomy but focus on the romance that is way less toxic and doesn't have you groaning and watching through your eyes because of the inevitable self-sabotage that always happens. Also, the medical terminology and setting were WAY more realistic. Abby Jimenez's writing has vastly improved from her "The Friend Zone" days and she is quickly becoming an instant buy author for me. This book is swoony and you might even shed a tear or two. Jacob and Bri are big characters with big personalities, tackling big problems, and they do so in a way that keeps you engaged and never bored. I truly felt for them every step of the way on their journeys as growing people and their love story. I absolutely adored the anxiety representation in this as well. I cannot wait to see what amazing thing Abby Jimenez whips up next.

Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez is a stunning 5 star example of truly swoon-worthy, perfectly emotional romances that effortlessly delivers on banter, humor, family & love all while pulling on heartstrings in the best way possible. In a world full of constant content & technology, Yours Truly reminds its’ readers of the beauty of yesteryear & the treasured, albeit long mostly forgotten, pastime of love letters.
Two hospital colleagues, Dr. Briana Ortiz & Dr. Jacob Maddox, have an extremely rocky start to their working relationship. But when a letter arrives explaining all the missteps behind the mishaps, a beautiful friendship blossoms right on the page along with a pen pal situationship for the ages. Both doctors then end up helping each other in surprising ways in what already is one of my favorite books of the year.
Not only did this book have two of my most favorite tropes that are fake dating & enemies to love, but it did it in a way that still felt completely fresh & unique & melted me into a puddle of goo from all the good feels. Dr. Jacob Maddox is a top tier book boyfriend & I am in love with his entire entertaining family.
Abby Jimenez is a gift to the romance genre with her fantastically creative & emotional love stories. She offers excellent character arc driven stories as they untangle very difficult times in their lives with realistic rock bottom situations while also displaying excellent representation.
Yours Truly alone had fantastic anxiety disorder representation with our main hero while also having a chronic kidney disease in a side character that played a major role in the story. Having both chronic kidney disease & anxiety myself made this book extra special to me & I’m just constantly grateful that these gorgeous stories exist & represent the disabled community, which is so often forgotten. I will keep saying this, but it means more than words can say & I’m so thankful.
This book also showcased the fact all someone needs is someone willing to truly listen & figure out their needs as a friend & partner & how the other person can return the other’s needs to create a beautiful partnership.
Yours Truly is truly a romance book written for romance fans .
Massive thanks to NetGalley & Forever Publishing for the arc, which I voluntarily read & reviewed. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
Trigger warnings: This book mentions &/or contains cheating, chronic illness, anxiety, panic attacks & surgery.
I will post to my socials closer to release date & add links once I do!

I wish I could give this book one thousand stars. It was fantastic. I loved the writing and it totally transported me. I loved the banter between Briana and Jacob. This is a definite must read and one I will be reading again and again.

I have read and LOVED every Abby Jimenez book, and Yours Truly was no exception. I fell in love with Jacob and Briana's story instantly. I mean come on. Swoon-worthy doctor with a kind heart who just wants to love and be loved by the girl with a jaded heart?! SO CUTE! Give me a medical setting, family drama, fake dating and close/forced proximity and I am one happy camper. I was engaged the entire book and couldn't put it down. I will be purchasing a physical copy upon release for my shelf and will be adding this to my favorite reads of 2022!

* I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this book. All thoughts are my own.
I love Abby Jimenez’s books! She writes her characters with a lot of depth and it makes it easy to fall in love with them. Brianna is such a strong character and Jacob is an absolute sweetheart. I do think there might have been a few too many top culture and tik tok references for me and just a bit cheesy but I don’t really mind that much because I just absolutely loved the story.
Would definitely recommend!!!

Abby Jimenez is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorite authors!
This love story is just about perfect in every way. Briana is an intelligent, independent ER doctor just getting through her divorce from her cheating husband. Jacob is an equally intelligent, socially anxious ER doctor just wanting to prove to his family that he is over his ex (who recently became engaged to his brother). The two meet on one of Briana's... rougher days, leading her to believe that Jacob is the devil incarnate.
When Jacob clears the air via a letter, she realizes just how kind and thoughtful he really is and immediately feels guilty for unleashing her wrath on him. To make it up to him, she agrees to be his fake girlfriend in order to prove to his family that he really is over his ex.
After some intimate conversations, harmless flirting, and adorable letter-exchanging, the two start falling in love. Of course miscommunication gets in the way with each of them assuming that neither of them are actually over their exes.
In typically Jimenez style, there is a cameo of a previous adorable couple as well as a hint of magic. What more could you ask for?
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions.

The best I've read from Abby Jimenez thus far. Incredible characters, well-considered pacing, and love you can really believe in. Not sure what else I could ask for!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
This story has been my favorite of Abby Jimenez’s works! Her story’s are always taking the reader on a journey filled with tears, laughter, and love! The main male character has become one of my favorite male leads in a romance books! The relationship between the main characters and the lessons the characters learned really stuck with me. You need to read this if you haven’t, you will definitely enjoy it!

Thank you so much to NetGalley for letting me read this book! I was not a big fan of her "Friend Zone" books but once I started seeing the early 5 star reviews on this one, I wanted to give her another try and it did not dissapoint. I absolutely loved the characters and the humor. I will totally be telling people about this one and I do see this being a top book for 2023!

I adored this book! It was funny, deep, adorable, and fun to read. I loved the characters and the story. As a huge Part of Your World fan, I couldn’t be happier with this book. I’m so grateful that I had a chance to read it!

Two doctors, a horrible first run in (literally), fake dating, cute letters, and giving love a second chance! ER doctor Brianna Ortiz has had a rough year: from her husband cheating on her with her friend to having a new doctor move into the hospital who might be after her job promotion and the fact that she can’t find a donor match for her brother’s kidney transplant. Finalizing her divorce to her husband and dealing with stress has made her snappy... so when she has a literal run in with the new guy at work who has been nicknamed Dr. Death for losing seven patients on his first day, she tries to be nice but he comes off as totally rude and she snaps. But to her surprise, Dr. Death, otherwise known as Dr. Jacob Maddox writes her the sweetest apology letter to explain himself and so begins an unlikely relationship. Bri writes him back and soon they begin sending each other letters and their letters become the highlight of each others day... and soon things take a turn. Jacob Maddox has anxiety, he’s been trying to deal with it but it’s hard, especially being the new guy at a work place. Jacob left his last job after his girlfriend broke up with him only to date his brother three months later.. and now they are engaged. Jacob just wants a fresh start but after a horrible day and his anxiety ramping up and up he might have come off as rude to the beautiful woman who ran into him, so he decides to write a letter, apologize and explain himself. What he never expected was to befriend her and to actually build a friendship with her, to actually finally know what it’s like to meet someone who just gets you because with Brianna, everything comes easy for him, he’s never felt more comfortable in his life. When he is invited to his brother’s wedding and pestered by his nosy family, he lies and says he has a girlfriend... and after getting to know Bri and realizing that he is a perfect match, he secretly donates his kidney for her brother... except she finds out and soon she agrees to be his fake girlfriend to his brother’s wedding... yet there is nothing fake about the way they feel about each other. Can they make this fake relationship real or will their past hurts ruin any chance of giving love a second chance? This was honestly the cutest and most heart warming story ever. I absolutely adored the relationship between Bri and Jacob, they were so empathetic, kind, and caring with each other, they understood one another and tried their best to communicate. They were just so stinking cute and I adored this book so much. It is definitely a must read!
*Thanks Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing), Forever for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

I love this book so much that I want to go back in time and read it again for the first time. Yours Truly can be read as a stand-alone though it is part of the same universe as Part of Your World (which is amazing and I also love it). The writing and handling of sensitive topics were executed with obvious attention to detail and with expertise. Bri and Jacob are my favorite people, though no matter how he was described in the book in my mind he is Andrew Garfield from Under the Banner of Heaven. The fake relationship trope has just about worn me out and I didn’t think it could be done in a way that was fresh or unpredictable, but the author managed to make me a believer. Excellent character development and story building. I wanted to live in this book - it really is that good. This is more than an addition to the genre of romance or women’s fiction: it is a case study on very real scenarios that people live with and show those people for the pillars of strength and hope that they are.
I received an ARC courtesy of NetGalley and the author. The opinions are mine and I stand behind my review. Especially Jacob being Andrew Garfield.
