Absolutely loved this one! Everything Abby writes captures me within the first page. This was no exception. This was probably the best Abby book yet. I thought it was so accurate the way she captured anxiety. Would highly recommend!

I recommend you clearing your whole schedule and pick up Yours Truly because once you start it you won’t want to put it down.
I love how Abby tackles some hard subjects while still keeping things light and funny. I can’t tell you how many times I laughed while reading Yours Truly.
As all of her books there’s a charismatic animal who steals the show. And this time it was Lieutenant Dan. The human characters are pretty great too.
I can’t wait for my preorder to show up to add it with my other books. Abby is definitely a one click buy for me.
Thanks to Netgalley and Forever for a copy of Yours Truly in exchange of an honest review

I love Abby Jimenez & this little series is just delightful! I loved watching Brianna & Jacob's love story unfold...highly recommend!

“ because love shows up, and here I am”
Yes I am writing this review at midnight because, I just devoured this book and need to put my thoughts down. To start, Bri was my favorite from part of your world. When I got approved for this arc I SCREAMED!
Bri is a bad ass ER doctor who is divorcing her husband of 12 years after he has an affair. On top of that he brother has gone into kidney failure and has lost all hope for a donor. At least she is a shoo in for the new chief ER doctor right? NOPE in walk Jacob. What else could go wrong?
“𝒰𝓈𝑒 𝓂𝑒,” 𝒽𝑒 𝓈𝒶𝒾𝒹 “𝓊𝓈𝑒 𝓂𝑒 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓌𝒽𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉, 𝒿𝓊𝓈𝓉 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓎.”
These two could not have gotten off on more of the wrong foot, so Jacob does what he knows best. He write Bri a letter explaining his thoughts and feelings. From here we dive into the world of fake dating and amazing side characters.
I have NEVER read a rom com that tackles anxiety in such a real and vulnerable way. I felt Jacob every-time he described being overwhelmed, feeling anxious, and navigating social situations. The grace and compassion Abby wrote Bri having for Jacob were everything.
“ ᴀ ᴄʜᴀʟᴜᴘᴀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛᴡᴏ ᴛᴀᴄᴏ ꜱᴜᴘʀᴇᴍᴇꜱ ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜰɪʀᴇ ꜱᴀᴜᴄᴇ.”
“ᴛʜᴏꜱᴇ ᴀʀᴇ ᴏʙᴊᴇᴄᴛɪᴠᴇʟʏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴏʀꜱᴛ ᴛᴀᴄᴏꜱ ᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴄʀᴇᴀᴛᴇᴅ.”
“ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ ᴡᴀɴᴛꜱ ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ ᴡᴀɴᴛꜱ, ᴊᴀᴄᴏʙ.”
The only negative thing to say about this book( which is not a bad thing for me) but I know some really don’t like, would be the miscommunication troupe the last 1/3 of the book. As well as mentioning of miscarriages and pregnancy struggles(tw).
This is one of my top rom coms of 2022, I highly recommend it to all. Thank you NetGallery for the eARC of this amazing book!

That was just a DELIGHT. Seriously, probably one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. I was sending photos of paragraphs to my bff the entire time. I want to immediately read it again.

Thank you Netgalley and Hatchette Publishing for the Advanced Reader copy!
I was sooo honored to have gotten approved for a book by such a well known author! This rom-com was everything I love in a book and more! Funny, fun, couldn't put it down, filled with important topics like anxiety, family trauma, diverse Salvadoran representation.
With vibes of Grey's Anatamy in the beginning, Briana and Jacob pretend to date to help Jacob get through a wedding where Jacob's Ex girlfriend is marrying his brother! Brianna starts out with the intention of doing it for fun, and because she sees jacob as a good friend. She never wants to date again due to her nasty divorce. Both of them start to fall for each other though, yet cannot get the hint that the other one is also falling for them!
Abby Jimenez thinks of everything to make it fun and important all at the same time. Even her "content guidance" at the beginning, where she lightly cautions readers about some of the topics in the book, without giving anything away, was so thoughtful of her!

4.5! This just became one of my favorite books ever! Bri and Jacob's relationship was so special and I felt INCREDIBLY seen by the social anxiety rep in this. I loved how accepting and willing these two characters worked to ensure that they were comfortable and their needs were being met. It's definitely one of the most cutesy and wholesome books I've read in a long time and I cannot WAIT for the audiobook!

Abby Jimenez excels at depicting the building trust necessary for true romance. Brianna and Jacob are both still licking their wounds after failed relationships and I appreciated that neither jumped right into love again despite their chemistry.
Epistolary storytelling is my weakness. Their letters to each other are so charming. This is a romcom that’s not goofy or over the top, but it’s still funny and feel-good. Jacob’s intense social anxiety is handled very empathically. Her books always have a balance between light and dark, and handle painful issues with sensitivity that grounds the story.
Fake dating and miscommunication provide plenty of tension without becoming scalp-shreddingly frustrating. With a slower physical burn, overall heat level is low but the scene is well-written and emotional when it finally happens. I loved seeing the Alexis and Daniel from Part of Your World and revisiting the Grant House. The “Only One Bed” joke was like a knowing wink to romance readers. So fun.
Brianna and Jacob are a couple I truly rooted for, and I devoured this book. Think it’s my new favorite Abby Jimenez.

I have loved every book Abby Jimenez has wrote so far and always proclaim them as my favorite, but Yours Truly is easily my favorite out of all of her books (so far). There are not enough adjectives to describe how incredible this book is. I was in tears so many times throughout the book and the ending left me with the biggest smile on my face, as well as a few more tears!
After meeting Briana in Part of Your World, I loved having a book that followed her. On the cusp of being divorced by her husband who cheated on her with her friend, she has all right to have her walls up and not want to be in a relationship after being burned in the past. She also is the primary caretaker of her brother and feels that her focus needs to be on helping him. In walks Jacob, a new ER doctor who Bri feels is trying to take the chief job away from her. Jacob has no interest in the job, he is trying to piece his life back together after his ex-girlfriend and his younger brother are now together. He also suffers from severe anxiety and will do anything in his power to keep it from getting worse.
I loved the way their friendship began, by passing handwritten letters back and forth. They got to truly be themselves in those letters. I adored Jacob, not just because he may be Abby's best book boyfriend yet, but the way his anxiety was portrayed. It was done with such accuracy, I could sympathize with the way Jacob felt on a number of occasions and the coping mechanism we do to try to keep your anxiety from getting worse. The way Bri understood him, when he needed someone to help him and when he just needed space to be alone, was portrayed so well.
It was nice to catch up with Alexis and Daniel throughout this book. Like with Abby's other books, it had a wonderful cast of supporting characters, Jacob's family I quickly fell in love with, that I hope we will continue to see in future books.

This book was outstanding! Abby Jimenez has an unparalleled ability to draw you into the character’s persona making every thought experience and reaction feel so real and relatable. She takes great care to address sensitive topics and shed light to them in a way that provides a first-hand glimpse into the experience.

WELL DANG this book really sneaks up on you 🥹 This book was truly nothing short of beautiful. Yes it’s a cutie fake dating romance, but even more than that this is a book about two people finding themselves after heartbreak.
Briana is a hardworking, badass, girl boss QUEEN practically running the ER and becoming a full time caregiver for her brother who is in renal failure. Then there’s Jacob. Sweet, sweet Jacob who totally wears his heart on his sleeve. I just want to give him a big bear hug. His entire inner narration and struggle with social anxiety was all too real while I was reading, and i LOVED getting to see this point of view in a romance book. Like LOVED 👏 IT 👏
I loved watching Briana and Jacob’s relationship develop and seeing them face their inner demons together, and the way they are just so in tune with each other is so so beautiful. Their letters are everything, their friendship is everything, the way they literally make all these little ((and very very big on Jacobs part)) sacrifices for each other is EVERYTHINNNGGG. Ugh i just love them.
Now all this to say ((without giving any spoilers)) i really hated the ending. Or more so the third act breakup. The reasoning on Briana’s part felt frantic and rushed. And like i totally get why she acted the way she did, but just as the reader on the outside, idk I just didn’t totally believe it. Plus the wonderful trope that shall not be named (iykyk). The last two chapters, Jacob’s final letters, and the epilogue definitely made up for it, but dang what a doozy that just really took me out of the story.
ANYWHO overall a very beautiful love story and a 4⭐️ from me!!

Thank you so much @netgalley and @readforeverpub for my gifted #e-arc
Every time Abby Jimenez writes a new book, it becomes my new favorite. To say I ADORED this book and these characters is an understatement 🥹
It’s the type of book that you immediately want to start over when you finish.
It’s the type of of book that you want to devour, but then get mad that you didn’t savor it.
It’s the type of book that has you reading when your not supposed to (like at stoplights 🤫) because you can’t stop thinking about it.
It’s the type of book that has you swooning and going “awww” at the perfect amount of cheesiness and romantic gestures 💕
It’s the type of book that you want to applaud Abby Jimenez for representing anxiety extremely well.
It has all my favorites - fake dating, enemies to friends to lovers, workplace romance, one bed…it does have miscommunication that got a tad repetitive, but not enough to really bother me since I still gave it all the stars!
I could gush about this book forever, and luckily I had Andrea to be giddy with me about this one. 🥰
I’ll definitely be preordering this one to get a physical copy for my shelves! I HIGHLY recommend it

100% a new favorite of mine. I know that this story will be stuck with me for a very long time. The relationship between Bri and Jacob, the way they loved each other was so beautiful and tender and pure. These characters were so perfect, the struggles they faced were real and raw and it made me so emotional to read. I absolutely loved every moment of this book, I couldn't put it down and I can't stop thinking about it now that it's over.

WOW! I absolutely loved this book. I was laughing out loud, crying, smiling, and having gut reactions. The growth between Jacob and Briana was beautiful to read about. I loved the progression of their relationship and all their private jokes—here’s hoping they have a kid named Xfinity. This was, overall, an incredible story, and I can’t wait for the world to read it.

So far Abby Jimenez has knocked every single book of her out of the park. It’s absolute perfection each and every time. I always think the next read of hers won’t top the last, then I sit in a pile of mush, trying to process the sheer perfection of her words.
Abby—well done, once again. This story pulled at my heart and absolutely took over my mind emotionally. Brianna and Jacob couldn’t be more different yet so in tune with what the other needs. Jacob really was the sweetest and I adored his character so much. Brianna sounded like someone I would have loved to have a shift working alongside. They both complimented one another and brought so much to their dynamic as a couple.
I think going in blind is really the way to go with Jimenez’s books. She won’t lead you wrong. She’s a fantastic storyteller and you can tell how much love she puts into her writing. It seeps off the pages and into your soul.
This one deserves all the stars!

Abby does it again. I really don’t know how she does it. Bri and Jacob’s story was just right. The story navigates some difficult topics with grace and managing to keep the story moving. There were parts that had me laughing out loud and tearing up the next. I am happy to have been given the opportunity to receive an ARC. I look forward to re-reading and listening to the story when the audio is released.

This book omg!! First off I have to say everything I have read from this author I have loved!! She knows how to pull at my heartstrings and also get my blood pumping (in many different ways lol).Brianna and Jacob both have had bad luck in the live department and have given up on finding anyone new. Brianna is busy taking care of her sick brother anyway. But when Jacob starts working in the same emergency department as her they start exchanging letters and developing a friendship….. and then the fake dating begins.
I am a sucker for a fake dating trope. The lack of communication aggravates mr but I love it because it’s realistic.100% recommend this book and every other book written by Abby Jiminez!!!

Abby has done it again! I devoured this book in no time. I can't even begin to know who the next story will be about if she continues this series, even though I've said that each time. Know matter how insignificant their role was in a previous book, Abby brings them to life so beautifully that you want to know more about them and cheer them on! I can't wait for what she writes next!! I know she was working on it during her boat vacation.

This was another Abby Jimenez gem. I loved Briana and Jacob. They might have been better than Daniel and Alexis. I loved Briana’s personality. She’s fiery, quirky, and knows how to speak her mind. I love that she hasn’t completely lost herself after her divorce, despite her frustration with the dating scene. Jacob is so adorable; I want to squeeze his cheeks and keep him forever. He might be my new favorite Abby Jimenez male character. I can relate so much to his anxiety and how it causes problems with his presentation to others and his communication. The letters that he ends up writing to Briana are just.. ugh! They make my heart melt.
The only complain I have is that for how smart Briana is, she really spent most of the book being oblivious about Jacob. It was kind of frustrating, but otherwise, the book was lovely.
Thank you NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for the arc in exchange for an honest review!

I absolutely adored this book! Part of Your World was my first book by this author so I was over the moon to read her latest one. I cannot say how much I love Jacob, he is sweet, thoughtful, and so kind. I appreciated how real and vulnerable Abby captures the characters and how relatable they are. The author beautifully writes about the triumphs and struggles of hard life topics. I enjoyed reading about the bond between Briana and her brother. I loved the little bits and pieces that were weaved in about the characters from Part of Your World. I felt myself smiling, laughing, and tearing up at this book. This was such a joy to read and it’s probably one of best books I’ve read this year.
