I have read every single book by Abby Jimenez and have not been disappointed by any of them, so I was definitely excited to read Yours Truly! I'm happy to report that this one also goes to the list of bye books by the author I'v loved, and might actually be one of my favorites so far! Jimenez always writes books that hit me right in the feels, with well developed characters and couples with a lot of chemistry! Her stories are always laugh out loud funny, and you can see how much heart she has put into the books she writes, as well as the amount of care she takes when it comes to writing sensitive topics like mental health. I absolutely loved Briana and Jacob and recommend this book with my eyes closed.

Abby really knocks this one out of the park again. She really hits the high points of chronic illness, hospital life, and romance! Her scenes are realistic, well researched, and heart stopping! There were chapters where I just wanted to reach through the book pages and shake the main characters, and chapters where I just didn't want the chapter to end. A sign of a good book to me is it leaves you wanting more. The great thing about Abby is we will see these characters intertwined in her next books some way so we never leave the family she has created! A must read for sure!

5/5 UNSTOPPABLE.
Prepare for a book hangover, because this one is impossible to put down. There is something about the sassy Brianna against the sweet Jacob that is just so good— and this book will make anyone with social anxiety feel SEEN. Yours Truly will be on the shortlist for gifts once it is released! Not many stories inspire me to read until the end and skip sleep... and even less make me do it twice. Yes, I’ve now read it two times, with some other books between takes. Abby Jimenez has done it again, and the latest installment will melt your heart with the gooeyness of this cinnamon roll hero.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you so much for allowing me access!!!

I just want to live in this universe! The best representation, the best storyline, fake dating, and just the right amount of spice!

I just finished reading through this whole book in a span of a day and it was exactly what I needed. It had everything that’s expected from yet another amazing Abby Jimenez book and then some! It was wholesome in the main characters build up, and the laugh out loud parts always caught me off guard that I teared up a few times. The slow burn was so worth it that I was screaming when it finally happened. Not only was this book amazingly detailed with all of their side characters, there were so many recognizable nods to nostalgic characters from her previous books. This was a beautifully written story that takes readers on a heartbreakingly magical ride before instantly redeeming itself by opening up a whole new expectation for love, vulnerability, and mental health in both men and women. I couldn’t have been more honored to receive this advanced copy and would 100% recommend future readers to buckle themselves in for a spectacularly life-changing journey through the eyes of Briana and Jacob.

Big thank you to @netgalley and my favorite author Abby Jimenez for the early ARC of her soon to be released book Yours Truly! To say I was excited to get this to read is an understatement.
This book is absolutely awesome.
This is the story of Briana, an ER doctor who is about to be divorced. Her husband cheated on her with a good friend and she has sworn off men. The new ER doctor, Jacob, however easy on the eyes, seems very rude and loses 7 patients his first day. They have even starting calling him Dr. Death. Then to top it all off, her younger brother comes in the ER that day with a serious infection. He has kidney disease and is in need of a transplant. What a day!
The next day, Bri gets a letter from Jacob and it's super sweet. She decides to write him back and in their correspondence, learns that Jacob isn't rude, he just has severe anxiety in certain settings. As their friendship grows, they are shocked to find that Jacob is a perfect match for her brother's kidney! She likes him even more. As he pulls her out of her hatred for men and she agrees to date him for his brother's upcoming wedding, which will be a super stressor for him, they both wish they were dating for real!
It's got great characters, and always an animal I love, this one is a three legged dog named Lieutenant Dan! I loved this book especially for the emphasis on organ donation and the effects it has on those surrounding the person in need. Then I read the author note and realized exactly how personal this was to the author and loved it even more!
This book comes out April 11, 2023 and you can pre-order it now! Go grab it!

Yours Truly is the romcom you've come to know and love from Abby Jimenez. It's full of chemistry-building anticipation between the main characters. Set in an ER, Briana and Jacob are both ER doctors that end up in a situation where fake dating makes sense but one of them may be catching real feelings.
I loved the way that living with a chronic illness and need for a kidney transplant was represented so well, not only for those directly dealing with it, but also for their loves ones and families.
If you love characters overcoming baggage from past relationships and finding friendship that values them for who they are without strings attached, plus some serious attraction (and some steam), then this one is for you.
And, there is a cameo appearance from Alexis and Daniel who were in Jimenez's last book, Part of Your World.

Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite authors so I was beyond thrilled to receive an ARC of Yours Truly. Thanks so much to @readforeverpub for early access to this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.
I don't know if I can fully express how much I loved this book. I had read The Friend Zone maybe 6 months after it came out in 2019 and was immediately a fan and Josh was one of my top book boyfriends. While I loved Happy Ever After Playlist and Life's Too Short too, I was still fiercely all about Josh. Then Part of Your World came out this year and blew me away and I'm like Wow Daniel, and I love this book and this is one of my top reads of this year and I voted for it for BOTM finalist. And then I finish Yours Truly and literally clutched it to my chest and exhaled all the swoony emotions this book created.

I adored both main characters. Briana was hilarious and tough and a little bit broken but so great. I want her to be real and be my bestie too.
And Jacob. He's perfection for a MMC. The sweetest of the cinnamon rolls. A solid guy who knows what he wants but is awful at expressing himself with words. He is perfect if your love language is Acts of Service and Quality Time.
It was such a slow burn but it worked like really good foreplay. The steam was worth the wait. And the wait added to the swoon.
Highly recommend and this is also one of my fave reads of the year. 5⭐️.

Jimenez is always hit or miss for me. This is not one of my favorites, mostly because I find the set up frustrating. The writing is wonderful, as always. I will continue to recommend some of her other titles and will always try her new work, but this one doesn't do it for me.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author Abby Jimenez and the publisher for an advanced copy of this super funny, incredibly realistic rom-com!
Briana was a force of nature. I loved her sense of humor and no holds barred attitude. She has fierce love for her family and a fierce hate for her almost ex-husband.
Jacob is the unsuspecting new doctor in town and oh has he been cast under Briana's spell. They start out not liking each other very much but you know that will change soon.
This was the best palate cleanser. I finished it in less than 24 hours. Abby Jimenez is the queen of the rom-com. I am only sad that I have to wait that much longer to read her next book!
Pick this one up, share it with your friends. It's a whole lot of fun!

THIS. BOOK. Oh my gosh. Where to even begin?! It completely got me out of a book slump so I will forever be thankful for that. If you haven't read Part of Your World, run don't walk. BUT it's not necessary for this book, you'll just be doing yourself a favor by adding it to your TBR.The romance between Jacob and Briana was adorable among other things, it gives you the warm fuzzies. I mean they wrote notes back and forth, swoon.
The romance was great, but I'd like to thank Abby Jimenz for accurately explaining how Jacob's anxiety works. I related to him SO much and it was really nice to see that portrayed. I've never been able to relate to a character so well.
This was a great addition to the series, I wish I could read it for the first time all over again!

I loved 90% of this book. Abby Jimenez is becoming my go-to author for books that make me laugh, cry, then laugh some more. I appreciated the view into life with kidney failure, which the author states is extremely personal to her experience. I also appreciate the depiction of Jacob's anxiety issues; this was completely relatable content and it's important for more people to realize that not everyone out in public is comfortable and having a great time with the "easy" things. Fiction is fantastic for walking a mile in someone else's shoes. The 10% I hated was **SPOILER ALERT** Briana saying she didn't want children and then magically changing her mind. It is completely valid for a hero and heroine to have a child-free happily ever after and I wish I saw more of this in books.

This book is so wonderful and I know it will be an absolute hit on bookstagram. I am honored to have received an advanced copy and can’t wait to recommend it to my followers and fellow book lovers!!
Briana and Jacob are such wonderful characters and I thought their jobs in an ER were well written and such a unique take on how rom com characters usually find each other. I really enjoyed reading about them and their families and seeing them find their way to each other. Jacob is an amazing book boyfriend!!
I will say that I’m giving 4 stars because the last 20% feels so off-kilter with the rest of the book. There’s still a lot of time until the pub date so I’m hoping maybe this will be changed. I thought Briana’s break down and the extremes she went to were really uncharacteristic with her behavior throughout the rest of the book. I also thought the pregnancy stuff thrown in at the end was out of place and needlessly sped their relationship along too quickly.
Still I loved this one though!! Thank you so much for the ARC.

It will be hard to describe how amazing this book was to read, but I'm going to try. Every single one of Abby's books has been amazing, and this one is no different! It can be read as a stand-alone but I personally think it's better after reading all of Abby's books (but if you can only read one before Truly Yours, then read Part of Your World since it's more closely related to this story).
First, thank you to Abby and NetGalley for the early read.
When I first found out Briana was getting her own book, after meeting her in Part of Your World, I was so thrilled. She makes for an interesting character, and I was routing for her early on.
I love how Abby tackles different issues and situations in her books. Seeing anxiety through Jacob's eyes really helped me to understand how someone with anxiety might view the world, and how the mind never stops worrying. Briana had to work through a lot of abandonment and trust issues. Benny was dealing with depression and a failing kidney. I found all of these relatable to real life and things I've gone through. Even though there are some tough situations, it's a realistic happy ending.
Every part of the book was so heart-wrenching, but I loved every single minute. I highly recommend this book.

Dr. Briana Ortiz is a 35 year old divorcee who happens to no longer believe in true love.
Sure it happens for others…but things had been gradually going downhill ever since she found her husband was having an affair.
Her best friend moved 2 hours away.
Her brother is in kidney failure, and it came out of nowhere.
She is living in her mothers SPARE house, that she grew up in, Smallville posters on her bedroom walls and everything.
The cherry on top? There’s a new ER doctor who is now in the running for the chief position that is rightfully hers.
Dr Death they call him
•
Dr Death. Aka Dr Jacob Maddox, ER attending at Royaume Medical and the new most hated man in the hospital.
The nurses hate him, and it only gets worse the day Dr Ortiz runs into him a breaks his phone. He goes to confront her about it but she is so beautiful his mind spirals, his anxiety kicks in… and he ends up coming off cold. So now SHE hates him too.
His cherry on top?
His ex girlfriend is dating someone new….and they just told him they’re getting married.
To make it seem like he’s totally fine with it he says he’s happy for them and that he has a gf….
Now he just needs a girlfriend….

I’m almost not sure how I should go about reviewing this book….
There is not a single other book I’ve ever read where I resonated with both the MC’s as much as this one.
Brianas crippling fear of abandonment and rejection. Her deeply seeded sense of self preservation, alongside the completely selfless way she loves with her whole entire heart even when it hurts.

Jacobs debilitating social anxiety and overthinking or over analyzing every small interaction. The way he has to prepare to socialize. Research the restaurant and parking situations. His loath of surprises, and the REASON WHY!

The way I feel privileged to have been gifted an early copy of this book, so that I can love it that much longer.
How grateful I am to Abby Jimenez, to have had the courage and hope to give this story to us.
I am, and will always be so thankful for the care you take in each story you tell, and I will never stop reading them.
And I’ll leave a few of my favourite quotes.

I loved it. It’s perfect. What else is there to say?!
Okay, maybe you want a few little thoughts. Abby Jimenez gets better with every book. And that’s damn amazing to accomplish. It’s sweet, it’s funny, it’s deep, it’s everything a modern romance should be.
Briana and Jacob are real and flawed, yet so endearing. And they’re also smart. There are no gimmicks or stupid steps solely to keep things going. Every miscommunication and hidden feeling is reasonable.
Every anxiety, disorder, and disease is treated with the utmost care (and make sure you read the authors note all the way to the end). These are the necessary details, the essential components for creating real and now characters, and AJ writes it so well. The situations, the characters, the everyday moments, it’s all woven together beautifully.
I don’t want to spoil a moment, so that’s all you’re getting from me. You need to discover it for yourself. Go. Read “Yours Truly”.

I love Abby Jiminez books. I love the complexity of the characters she creates. This book overlaps a bit with her previous book "Part of Your World", but can be read as a standalone. It was a fast read for me, a slow burn romance, and I love how she wrote a character with social anxiety as I think many people will be able to relate.
The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was this had my least favorite romance trope in it, but I think most people will rate it 5 stars. if you have liked Abby's other books, you will feel right at home here.
Thank you to NetGalley & Forever for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Forever( Grand Central Publishing) for sharing this ARC with me in exchange for an honest review.
Abby Jimenez is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors. Because of that, I'm rounding up to 4 stars even though this was definitely more of a 3 star read for me.
The book started out great, with the tension between Briana and Jacob setting us up for a true enemies to lovers story. I loved the way they finally got to know one another through letters. Jacob's family made for a fun cast of secondary characters. But the final conflict between Briana and Jacob was terrible. Briana especially was so frustrating I almost stopped reading.
Here's hoping Benny gets his own book!

I was lucky enough to get my hands on an ARC and I’m so excited that I did!
I’ll write something coherent at some point but I just have to say that Jacob was so well written and his anxiety was so relatable. I felt understood on a level that I’ve never really have before.
Thank you Abby.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC. I requested this book on a whim and forgot I had it until I read the book before this- Part of Your World. I loved that book and loved this one just a much. The characters are real and the emotions are raw and I can relate so much to the characters in the book. I loved that Jacob was struggled with anxiety. It is rare to find a love story or rom/com with a male character with a mental health issue. I feel Bri 1000% in her doubts. Beautiful book and I’ve just become a huge fan of Abby Jimenez.
