Bianca and Jacob are both ER doctors coming out of disastrous relationships. Bianca's husband cheated for years with her friend, and now she is just sad and lonely caring for her brother who needs a kidney transplant he is unlikely to get. Jacob's ex left him for his brother, and his social anxiety has him doubting his ability to have a successful relationship. Both claim that they are over their losses and ready to move on, but their meddlesome families and friends know different.
Hate at first sight turns to fake dating and then happily ever after in this sweet story of two people dealing with trauma and anxiety. This book is full of the deep feels, with both characters needing to do deep work on themselves and their relationship to make it work. The gradual build from enemies to lovers is really satisfying, though not light.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for access to an advanced digital copy. I have ordered a copy of this title for the collection at my library, and can't wait to share it with my patrons.

I loved Part of Your World and did a little happy dance when I found out I was approved for an eARC of Yours Truly (thank you, netgalley!). This was my third Abby Jimenez read and while it had so many great qualities, it just wasn’t my favorite.
I appreciated that the MMC suffered from anxiety and think it was nicely done. It was refreshing to read about a vulnerable man who isn’t afraid to accept some help from his woman. Jacob and I are both over thinkers and I could relate to so many of his stressors. Everyone deserves a partner who takes some of the weight of your shoulders.
This started off as a really sweet and wholesome read but sadly took a bit of a turn in to a soapy territory that I didn’t particularly love. I felt like there was a lot of unnecessary angst and the lack of communication could have been easily cleared up every time. I was thrilled when Jacob and Bri finally kissed but things went downhill for me afterwards.
Yours Truly is a really slow burn and right when you think all is well, it’s not. While I loved that the characters were in their mid-30s, they didn’t always act their age. Some of the dialogue was awkward and repetitive and it felt a bit silly at times.
It’s very clear that I’m in the minority here, but I think I need to space out my AJ books a little further. She’s a great romance author and a fun storyteller, but I just need a little more variety in terms of the plot. Without spoiling things or overanalyzing I’ll just say that I found certain details very similar to the last two AJ reads.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book; all opinions are my own. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for allowing me to be an early reader.

The very first part was a little slow for me, but I am so glad I kept reading. By 20% in, I was so hooked and could not put it down! I stayed up way too late and regret nothing, to finish this book. I absolutely loved the letters and do wish more of those would have continued, but I was so invested that it was okay when they stopped too. I was concerned at first that it was going to be too heavy, but I did not find it to be. The author did a fantastic job of balancing some really heavy topics and portraying them realistically and serious, yet not being too heavy or depressing. Of this authors work, this book is either my favorite or top 2, I also loved the very first book this author wrote,

I was lucky enough to receive and ARC of Yours Truly. I have been a big fan of Abby Jimenez's books every since I read The Friend Zone. Abby Jimenez did it once again with this book! I love how she focused on the topic of mental health in this book, specifically anxiety. She added it in a way that did not feel forced or over done. It seemed natural the way Briana factored in Jacob's anxiety in there day to day interactions. I also worked in an ER and felt like she portrayed that atmosphere accurately! I highly recommend this book if you have liked her previous books!

I just loved this one so much! Loved, loved, loved the interconnection between Part of Your World (a 5 stars book) and this one. Brianna is Alexis best and they are coworkers at the same hospital's ER. If you are into fake dating, you are going to have a treat with Your Truly. Things that I loved about the book? Everything, but specially the anticipation, I was almost screaming at the book hahaha. It felt like spying on your friends dating life, so relatable, cute at times, heartbreaking at others. The humor in this book is so on point! I was laughing out loud so many times, just amazing. Unputdownable! Huggable! Unforgettable! ALL THE STARS!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the opportunity to read and review this book as an eARC.
Please note that this review will have spoilers:
Briana is an an amazing doctor who is driven and loves big. Takes care of her brother, who is waiting on a Kidney transplant and working on being elevated into a new role, while still dealing with her divorce being finalized. Jacob has anxiety and certain social situations makes it worse. The way Abby wrote this i found so relatable and even anxious in my own ways. You're immediately pulled into the story. Even if you don't live with anxiety, there's still something the reader can take away in hopefully understanding a little bit better how it can be for some people.
One of my favorite things about this book was how the characters fell in love with each other. It was all before anything became physical and just falling in love with each other as the people they are. It's something I love about the fantasy books I read as well. This book was probably one of the first times that a "book boyfriend" felt like a real possibility. There isn't a lot of spice: one scene and the rest are alluded to, but you're so invested in them as a couple you don't really need all the spice.
I went into this book not knowing what to expect and had low expectation because I was in a book slump. Out of the 75+ books I've read this year, this is one of the top 3 contemporary romances that I've read.
Some things to really enjoy about this book:
Bri's friendship with Alexis. I love the importance of female friendships here
how anxiety is represented (coming from someone who has it)
fake dating trope
one bed trope
the chemistry between the FMC and MCC
Mental health focus, communication, and how individual counseling as well as couples counseling is discussed
Have not read "Part of Your World" (it's on my TBR), but I don't think that took away from this. If anything, I will make it higher on my TBR and probably re-read this again.
Do I think it's not exactly healthy how consumed the couple is with each other? Of course, but also recognize they are still in the honeymoon phase of their relationship. Also, the miscommunication trope. ugh. That is always a frustration of mine because i'm constantly yelling at the book just talk to each other. So it goes.
Waited a day to write this review because I tend to be an emotional reader. This book made me cry. And not just a single tear. Full-on, MC energy cried on the plane and back of an Uber because I couldn't put the book down. If you love contemporary romances, this will be for you.
I'm ready to re-read this and looking forward to updating the review next year with a quote I love from the book.

I loved everything about this book! It’s absolutely perfect for someone looking for a romance about real people with substance to their relationship. We met Briana in Part of Your World as Alexis’ best friend. While this isn’t a series, and Yours Truly can be read alone, I did enjoy revisiting Alexis and Daniel.
I identified with bits of both Briana and Jacob and actually liked their characters. I loved that they truly only got to know each other once they started writing letters. Non-traditional, sweet, and a bit old-fashioned? Who doesn’t wish they could take time to say just the right thing and make their intentions clear?! The grace and patience they gave each other, especially around their emotional triggers, is what made their relationship possible.
I enjoyed this book and the characters so much, I was sad when it was finished. I do hope we get to visit them again someday in another book!
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I absolutely adore Abby Jimenez, so I was very excited to get the opportunity to read this book six months in advance! I like Briana as Alexis's best friend in Part of Your World, and I love that she was given her own story.
This book alternates between Briana, a driven, sassy doctor, and Jacob, a quiet, socially awkward doctor...both working in the same emergency room. Each chapter flowed into the next very well despite alternating. The premise is a fake dating trope that you KNOW will lead to eventual dating. Both Briana and Jacob have been scarred by former relationships, so the walls are up high for both even though it doesn't take very long for them to fall for each other.
You cannot help but see the chemistry between Briana and Jacob. The sparks were flying all over the page! Jacob is definitely a dream, and the way that he fights for Briana was admirable. Also...his three-legged dog is named Lieutenant Dan? How cute!!!
I highly recommend reading this book when it is released in April! You won't regret it!

Another favorite by Abby Jimenez
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Funny story about this book. I got the approval from NetGalley in my birthday which was the greatest present ever.

🧡 Bri’s struggles with her brother and her divorce
🧡The Ending!!!
Things I did not like about this book:

I love everything about this book, from the plot to Abby’s writing style. Abby has a knack for writing characters that feel like real people. I’m this book one of the characters deals with extreme anxiety which Abby absolutely nails. I could recognize a lot of my own anxieties in the way she wrote about it and it felt very authentic.
I was to the point where I didn’t enjoy reading contemporary romance anymore because so many of them are cheesy and use phrasing/language that I can’t imagine anyone using in real life. This book (and all of Abby’s books) have complex characters that you can relate to and who you end up rooting for. It almost feels like reading about friends.
This book follows two ER docs and how their personal struggles impact their ability to be in a relationship. I loved going back and forth between the two main characters and reading things from each of their perspectives.
I highly recommend this book!

This was everything it was supposed to be.. GREAT! She never disappoints. Keeping in the world with the other books and also allow sneak peeks of the others and how their lives are moving is the best part..

OMG! Yours Truly, sequel to the small-town love story of Alexis and Daniel in Part of Your World, was AMAZING!! It was great to see some of our favorite characters again and meet some new favs!
First of all, the characters were fantastic.
Starting with Jacob. The author represented anxiety soo accurately in this character. The feeling of not wanting to leave the house some days, being invited to an event and not wanting to go, not answering phone calls — all super relatable for someone who’s struggling with anxiety.
Then we have Briana, who was so caring and did everything for everyone. In Briana’s case, she gave up nearly everything to take care of her sick little brother, Benny. This part of the novel hit really close to home since I have a younger brother going through his own medical struggles. I could completely understand why Briana did what she did and why she was so protective over Benny.
This novel had it all — life saving kidney transplants, fake dating, workplace romance, only one bed, etc. Just when we thought Briana and Jacob would only be pen-pals, word leaked that Jacob was Benny's PERFECT match for a kidney (yay!). And in the midsts of the chaos, Jacob revealed that he needed a fake girlfriend to come to his brothers wedding (The bride? Jacob’s ex girlfriend). Fake dating came soooo natural to the couple and they did it with such ease! It was such an amazing love story to watch unfold.
This book does have a few trigger warnings - anxiety, anxiety attacks, pregnancy lose, cheating and divorce. This is such a well-written, deep novel. My stomach literally had butterflies at times and I felt SO validated. Whether your anxiety is small or big, the author makes you feel seen and understood. I 10000000% recommend this read. Look for it online, in your local bookstores or at the library on April 11, 2023.

Abby Jimenez does it again! One of the many reasons I cannot wait to read Abby’s books is because of her characters! They truly become your friends and you are immersed in their world.
I loved getting get to know Bri. I wanted more of her in Part of Your World so it was fun to really meet her. Jacob and his eccentric family 😍! That’s all I’m going to say.
I can’t say the fake dating trope is anything new, but Abby did it with heart and makes me want to read her next book…NOW!
I also love the way Abby approaches difficult topics with authenticity and facts. She is one of my favorite authors for a reason.
Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC copy!

first of all…THAT WAS SO CUTE. I CAN’T.
This was the perfect thing I needed to get out of my reading slump. It was fast paced, simple, and extremely heartearming.
The miscommunication did make me want to rip my eyeballs out at times but once we were over that I was having the time of my life. Such a cute story.!
Thanks so much to netgalley for providing me with this arc in exchange for an honest review!! Overall rating is a 3.5/5 stars. 🫶🏽

Thank you to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for an ARC of this book!
I am obsessed with Abby Jimenez’s books and was so excited to get an advanced copy of Yours Truly. How do her books keep getting better??
Read this if you love fake relationships, and slow burn in your romance. Briana and Jacob had the sweetest love story. A loyal & protective heroine and a cinnamon roll hero? Sign me up! ✔️
As someone with anxiety, I really appreciated the way Jacob’s panic attacks/mental health was handled in the story. And Jacob might be my new favorite book boyfriend 😍
This book has a lot of serious topics so I highly recommend checking trigger warnings & reading the authors note ahead of time.

This book is EVERYTHING!
Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez might be the best book I’ve read all year! TRULY! I was so excited when NetGalley approved this ARC.
I laughed out loud so many times while reading this. The Jafar scenes in particular had me cracking up.
I cried. Tears of joy. Tears of understanding. Tears of gratitude.
Something that impressed me most in this book was Jacob’s anxiety and Briana’s caring approach to it. The simplicity of their promise to be harmless to one another. So beautiful.
Hands down one of my favorite books this year.
Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for sending me this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I could not put this one down!
Look out for this one on 4/10/2023

I always try to avoid spoilers so I will do my best to continue that here. I will start by saying, I love how Abby writes about real women and real people. Writing a love story about a woman struggling after a divorce and with huge personal struggles hitting all at the same time, a man struggling with anxiety and masking to make people around him more comfortable? This was done really well.
If you’ve read any of Abby’s books, you know she has a way of leaving you gutted 3/4 of the way through her books and then putting you back together and leaving you whole. This book wasn’t any different. I was reading this on a plane and let me tell you, trying not to open mouth sob at one point while surrounded by strangers was an experience. You would think I would know better, having read her books from the very beginning. I also laughed out loud and smiled and my heart ached with love for these characters.
Abby’s characters were real. These were people I could sit down and hang out with and get to know. I tried my best to not devour this book immediately but it didn’t work. I was sucked in. I was pulled in and oblivious to the world around me. My only complaint is that now that I’ve finished this early, I have to wait even longer for my next Abby Jimenez book (no pressure!!!). I will definitely be re-reading when this launches and hopefully keeping an eye out for launch events. One other thing. Read allll the way through. Don’t skip the end. Read all the way through.
Please note that I received an advance reader copy of this book from the author’s publisher through NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

FAKE DATING ALERT! With doctors! You can't go wrong there. I love Abby Jimenez and this did not disappoint. Jacob was the perfect MMC and I loved every single character in this story so much. I will never tire of the fake dating trope and I'm so happy more of my favorite authors are making their attempt at it.
Thank you #Netgalley for an early read of #YoursTruly

Once again Abby Jimenez has a winner! Her stories always have characters that I can either identify with myself, or a close family member. I can truly FEEL what her characters go through. The fact that Briana had preconceived notions about Jacob without any real interaction only to be proved wrong, hits home for this girl. I have such fond memories of writing notes back and forth with guys, but I’ve never found one like Jacob! Abby touches on serious mental and medical issues with such finesse and such detail shows me just how much she cares to make every detail in the story factual and authentic.
“Yours Truly” just like all of Abby’s stories make me laugh, cry, read as fast as I can because I cannot wait to see what’s next, and always make me so very happy at the end. This book (and all of Abby’s books) are so much fun to re-read over and over—I pick up fun “Easter Eggs” each time I go back to enjoy the stories. Red velvet is my favorite also.
I cannot wait to see what is next from Abby. I guarantee I will pre-order digital and print copies!

Loved the evolution of the main characters. Especially loved that Jacob was not the traditional alpha “hero.” He was flawed, but in an endearing way. The way Briana took his flaws in stride, accepting them and not considering them as flaws.
