I really enjoyed the characters but I was bored by the whole fake dating trope. I found myself wanting more from their interactions and I thought it could have been steamier.

this book made me cry!!! enemies to friends to lovers with fake dating AND one bed tropes?? a perfect beach read

Abby Jimenez is one of my absolute favorite authors! She writes amazing romance novels. Every new book I read of hers is my new favorite. This one was no exception. It was amazing!!!

I’ve been looking forward to reading this book ever since Abby Jimenez announced it, and I immediately dropped what I was reading so I could start this one when I got approved for the ARC!
Abby’s books are my automatic comfort reads — they just feel so warming and relatable. I have yet to read one of her books (and I have read all of them so far) in which I didn’t like the plot or characters. While Alexis and Daniel from Part of Your World are top tier, Briana and Jacob might be a close second!
In most romance novels, I usually relate to the female main character the most. But in this case, I heavily related to Jacob’s anxiety and introverted habits. I felt that his anxiety was appropriately and realistically executed in a way that anyone whom struggles with anxiety could relate to.
My one and only downfall of this book was the darn miscommunication trope! There were several times throughout the book where every conflict would have been solved if the characters were just honest with each other. However, this didn’t take away from how much I loved and related to this book.

I love the world that is in Abby Jimenez’s head. She makes all of her characters so tangible and relatable. Of the books I’ve read of hers, I’ve enjoyed each one and this one was no different.
Yours Truly was a sweet story about two completely different people, Bri and Jacob, whose meet cute was a little rocky. While our featured couple had individual trials they were working through, it was so fun to read their journey together.
Jimenez has strong themes in her books that leaves me to reflect and I feel she does something similar for many others that choose to read her amazing pieces.
Can’t wait to buy my physical copy to add to my Jimenez collection.
Thank you so much NetGalley & Grand Central Publishing for an advanced reading copy for my honest review.

I’ve devoured all of Abby Jimenez’s books in just the last couple months and if you are a fan of her other books, pre-order this now because it is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time.
Abby does an amazing job describing what living with social anxiety is like. As someone who has struggled with social anxiety, sometimes crippling, I’ve never seen a more accurate portrayal of a panic attack and how it feels to be in a large group of people. Bravo to her!! I totally felt seen!
The relationship that forms between Brianna and Jacob was just 🤌🏼 They are both complex characters and Abby does just an amazing job writing her characters that they feel so real. A fantastic read all around.
While I have a digital copy of this book, I will absolutely be purchasing a physical copy because it is just THAT GOOD.
Pub date: April 11, 2023
A huge thank you to @netgalley and, @readforeverpub, and @grandcentralpub for the e-ARC!!

Abby Jimenez has quickly become one of my favorite authors! Her books are the perfect amount of romance and spice and the characters always have quick, funny banter that makes you laugh out loud. It was easy to fall in love with Jacob and root for him throughout the book.

Abby Jimenez excels in creating unique, deep, thoughtful characters. Here's Briana and Jacob's story - two ER doctors who each have something to offer. Briana is about as rock-bottom as she can get - emotionally she's just been put through a year long divorce, her brother is having catastrophic health problems, and the only thing she *thinks* she has going for her is a promotion at the hospital she works at. Enter "Dr. Death," Jacob, who has the most horrendous first day an ER doctor could imagine when they transfer to a new hospital (to get away from his ex-girlfriend who is marrying his brother, to boot). He's lost 7 patients, just straight up bad luck, and his anxiety is ratcheted to a 15. The nurses don't like him and he's unfortunately been thrown in as another option for the same job Briana is expecting to take. (He isn't interested). So what first seems like enemies-to-lovers quickly turns into friends who fake date (due to aforementioned wedding of ex & brother). Seems like a lot of tropes working here, right? But what shines beyond all of this is Jimenez's way of painting each of these characters to be so fully formed, loving, caring people. You just want to cheer for the way they take care of each other and the secondary characters in the story.
I loved this one just as much as her others. There is nothing repetitive or formulaic about her books.
Thanks so much for the ARC!

When I requested this ARC from Netgalley, I didn’t even realize that this is essentially a sequel to Part of Your World! I really enjoyed Part of Your World, but I think I actually liked Briana’s story in this book a little bit more than that one. It’s a little trope-y, but I can’t deny that I love almost enemies-to-friends-to-lovers to fake dating.
Abby Jimenez really knows how to write a dream fictional man, and the supporting characters were great in this one too. If I have one complaint it’s that there are maybe one too many pregnancy plot points, including one for a character who explicitly said she didn’t want kids earlier in the book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Abby Jimenez strikes again! Another Rom-Com that will have you shooting your drink out of your nose from laughing so hard, to being felt seen, to wanting to cry like a blubbering baby, and back again.
This author is insanely talented at being able to put pen to paper and piece together an amazing story that you just can’t put down.
This novel was a little different from the rest. She shared a deeply personal connection to this book to her readers and I applaud her for everything she’s gone through, along with her fans hounding her for more having no idea her private battles and still delivering.
Abby puts a little of herself and people around her in her books. She researches to make sure she depicts thing as accurately as she can.
In this book I admire that people with social anxiety can feel SEEN. Trying to describe to someone whose never had anxiety and what it’s like is very difficult. I now know I am NOT alone. Abby flawlessly delivers that story line of a relationship where someone didn’t understand it and a relationship where the partner did extremely well and how to help.
Bri is a strong woman who takes no shit and puts everyone before herself.
Jacob is a quiet, reserved, socially anxious guy who finally is able to know what it feels like to have that hum of constant background anxiety dissipate.
Throw in a dysfunctional family, an inappropriate parrot and grandpa, and two people fighting their desires and we got the makings of this glorious rom com.
I don’t know how to put in words the other main part of the story and do it justice, so you’ll just have to read for yourself April 2023!
Again, great job, Abby. This is my 3rd ARC Book of yours I’ve had a pleasure of reading and you’ve touched so many people and souls by bringing awareness to sensitive topics and making your fans laugh til they pee their pants one minute and the next ripping at our heart strings. 🖤

Thank you so much NetGalley for providing me a early copy of Yours Truly. Hands down 5 stars for me on this book I absolutely loved everything about this book and I cant wait to have a physical copy for my shelf next year when it comes out. I loved this story, I loved the characters and everything was just great about this book. The characters made me laugh, smile, everything. Briana and Jacob were perfect for each other. Their chemistry was perfect and I Just loved everything about them. Jacob was like the perfect guy that you wanted in your life and that's what Briana got.
Seriously a great book that everyone must read!!

Oh, the emotions! Another wonderful, heart-felt, gut-punch, snickering book from Jimenez. I laughed, I cried, my heart soared. I love Jacob and I love Briana and they are a wonderful match. They have so much to overcome but their romance is also effortless. This doesn't have as much sex as Jimenez usually writes, which is a shame because she writes wonderful love scenes. Also, the epilogue felt off to me. The vibe was different. I don't know why and I can't even articulate the change but I could have done without it. Huge thank you to NetGalley for an ARC

I am a huge Abby Jimenez fan! Her characters are always some of my favorites and I know that her tendency for a happy ending will leave me happy and content at the end of her book.
My favorite part of this book was the inclusion of a character with significant anxiety- I especially liked that the character was male. The coping strategies and peek inside a life with anxiety was relatable and much needed in our literary world. I loved seeing the characters growth just as much as I enjoyed following along with the romance storyline.
Speaking of the rom com side, I did find it a little unbelievable at times, but on the flip side, the slightly unrealistic romance is part of what I love about this author. I certainly hope for a sequel and look forward to what she writes next!
Thank you to Forever Pub for my gifted review copy.

Abby Jimenez does it again. I say this every time she publishes a new book, but I think this one might be my favorite?! Abby writes lovable, imperfect characters. Filled with witty dialogue, touching moments, and everything in between, Yours Truly was unputdownable.

Yours Truly is the first book I have read by Abby Jimenez and I can see why so many readers rave about her books! I love it when a book has a memorable opening line, and a love story about two ER docs beginning with, "They're calling him Dr. Death." immediatly sparked my interest.
Bianca and Jacob are one of my favorite couples! Both have trauma from their past, are dealing with difficult current situations, and though they have very different personalities, are perfect for each other. When Jacob writes a letter of gratitude to Bianca for the suggestion to bring cupcakes to the nurses to win them over, he also explains to her that he has social anxiety. This helps her see previous interactions in a new light and she writes back. They initially get to know each other through the letters, sometimes multiple per day. The letters were so funny, yet shared important pieces of who Jacob and Bianca are.
When Jacob attempts to reassure his family that he has moved on following his break up with long time girlfriend, Amy (who is now engaged to his brother) he fabricates a new girlfriend, someone he works with. Things really begin to kick off when Bianca agrees to a fake relationship that quickly begins to feel real on both their parts. Add in a bit of a misunderstanding, and those real feelings are kept secret.
One of the best parts about this book is how Bianca and Jacob totally accept each other without trying to change the other. Bianca does her best to give Jacob what he needs in social situations, and just gets him. Jacob strives to do the same for her. Bianca is determined never to get involved in serious relationship after being abandoned by her father and her husband of 10 years cheating on her with a mutual friend. Her trust issues run deep and she feels that she is broken. Jacob's philosophy that "love shows up" sounds simple, yet it is everything to someone who has had their trust repeatedly broken and feels that the only person they can count on is themselves. Jacob is just the sort of patient, dedicated, and loving man she needs to help her believe in forever.
Yours Truly delivers all the feels; there are hard parts, loads of joy and laughter, and some tears as well. It is the best book I have read this year!
TW: infidelity, pregnancy loss, clinical anxiety, and depression
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for gifting me an ebook arc; I am happy to provide my honest review.

This book was fabulous! It didn't feel like your basic love story. I enjoyed how it was slow yet still hot and wanting to know more. I loved the fact Briana and Jacob learned what they needed to help the other succeed in the realtionship in the beginning and towards the end! Overall it had me HOOKED! I'm a bit sad it ended I wish I could know more about their relationship after the weeding! I found a couple of typos in the story but overall it was a fantastic book!

AJ does it again! I know I say this about every book, but Bri and Jacob are probably my favorite! They describe me and my wife perfectly and it felt appropriate to read on our honeymoon. I can’t wait to spend a lifetime being harmless to her. Thank you for writing another perfect love story, Abby!

"I always think that when we're quiet we're agreeing to be harmless to each other" *
YOURS TRULY (pub 04.11.23) is my new favorite Abby Jimenez novel. I'm grateful to @readforeverpub and @netgalley for the early access. Even if I did stay up until the wee hours- I couldn't put it down.
What I love about Abby Jimenez's books is how she takes humor and wit and blends it with complex, emotional elements. Rom-coms with heft. Yours Truly is no exception. A compelling story with authentic characters facing real-like issues that are supported by captivating writing,
WHAT TO KNOW:
- Brianna: recently divorced ER doc
- Jacob: ER doc who is such a swoony cinnamon roll hero.
- Epistolary elements: handwritten letters. I love handwritten missives.
- Slow burn/fake dating/rival colleagues-to-friends-to-more
- Glimpses of characters from Part of Your World
- Fabulous side characters
- A dog named Lieutenant Dan
- Chronic kidney diseases/transplant
- CW: Clinical anxiety,

I think I will love everything Abby writes. Every book has been 5 stars for me, I love the universe she creates and the believable love stories. Jacob and Brianas love is beautiful and real. I recommend these books every chance I get!
** Thank you for the ARC on this book for an honest review **

Abby Abby Abby- HOW I LOVE YOU!!!! I was so freakking excited to read Briana's story. I was also happy to see some familiar faces in this one. Yours Truly was a bit of a roller coaster for me. The highs and lows of Bri and Jacob were such a ride. Jacob...I mean...swoon. He is so sensitive, sweet, kind and funny, I loved how she handled the topic of social anxiety in this one. SO many can relate! So many times throughout this book..I was like HELLO!! You guys need to have a convo because you are CLEARLY made for eachother.
Overall, The notes were adorable, Bri and Jacob were adorable, and this book was one of my favorites of Abby's!
