I wish I could give this book 100/10. It was absolutely incredible and her best book yet! Hope to see many more from this author. Definitely a tear jerker and the best rom com ever!

I love absolutely every book written by Abby Jimenez, and of course Yours Truly is no different,

This book, like all of Abby's books, somehow manages to cover heavy topics while also having laugh out loud moments. There is always something to make me cry, make me laugh, and such great characters and romance. It's everything you want from a romcom (in my opinion.)

Yours Truly has the fake dating trope, which somehow I am still not tired of yet, despite it being very popular. It follows the characters Brianna, a doctor who is going through a divorce and also handling a brother going through medical issues, and Jacob, also a doctor who struggles with anxiety. The characters are both extremely likeable and I think Jacob might even be my favorite male lead out of Abby's books. I mean, he did name his three-legged dog Lieutenant Dan...

The book can be read as a standalone, like all of her books, but it's best read if you have read Part of Your World first as it mentions the characters Alexis and Daniel.

I am super grateful to have received this book as an ARC from the publisher and Netgalley.

I was luck enough to read an early copy of this. Jimenez weaves in a very personal story into this rom-com which makes it all the richer. This was my first book by her but it won't be my last.

Author, businesswoman and baker Abby Jimenez’s Part of Your World was my favorite Book of the Month book in 2022, and I was thrilled to find out that Jimenez is coming out with a new book, Yours Truly, this April. In fact, I think that Ms. Jimenez may have dropped a cupcake at her shop in Minnesota when I found out that her publisher sent me an advance reader copy, thus was the excitement level of this Lonestar librarian!

Jimenez may be the master of meet-cute, but she is the queen of character. Yours Truly is the story of two doctors who become inadvertent pen pals; Jacob, a loyal friend with a crippling anxiety disorder, and Briana, a recently divorced firecracker who is caring for a sick brother. Jimenez wrote these characters right off of the page; though the characters themselves are fictitious, their fears, pain, and experiences are not fiction. Jimenez’s portrayals of social anxiety, fear of abandonment and family response to illness read deeply personal; the title Yours Truly works on many levels (see Author Note). Yours Truly is as funny as it is poignant; readers familiar with Jimenez’s “geode rock cake” debacle will not be surprised to see her signature wit in these love letters. And epicures familiar with Jimenez’s Nadia Cakes shop will not be surprised that this love story features cupcakes.

I also adored Jimenez’s nod to her readers: though Yours Truly is a standalone book, fans of Part of Your World will be delighted to visit Alexis and Daniel in their historic family inn one more time.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for providing an advance reader copy for purpose of unbiased review.

Thank you to Netgalley and Forever for sending me one of my most anticipated books this year. This has easily become my new favorite Abby Jimenez book!! I absolutely loved the characters, especially Jacob. With this dual POV, you can feel the emotions and the fears of Brianna and Jacob. The way that the lack of communication and holding back feelings and dishonesty can lead to huge miscommunications within a relationship, whether fake or not. Abby includes real characters in her books and this one not only includes a physical disability but a mental one as well.

It was truly an inclusive story featuring diverse characters and lovable ones at that. This was one of those stories that I did not want to end.

I would recommend this one a million times!!!

This book was a delight from beginning to end. I love a fake dating trope, but Jacob and Briana had such a sweet, beautiful, and heartfelt story that it just made the whole book better.

This was my first book by Abby Jimenez and I can now say I am a huge fan. This book was so beautiful and I could not put it down. I was laughing out loud multiple times and the romantic moments even had me swooning. I absolutely love and adore this book. Already pre-ordered my physical copy (literally the minute I finished this ARC.) 6/5 stars. Highly recommend!

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central) for the ARC.

I love Abby Jimenez and was thrilled when I was approved for an advanced copy of Yours Truly. This might be her best one yet. I loved both of the protagonists and especially the quick dip back into Alexis/Daniel's world. It's the classic fake dating trope, but Abby makes it completely her own with the story and all the characters. There were so many little details that made this a great read (I want both of Jacob's properties....and dog) and I hope that we'll get more stories from this world. 5 stars.

I loved Bri in Part of Your World, so I could not wait to read this book! I thought this book was super cute, and I loved Bri and Jacob together. The letters they wrote each other were adorable, and I loved seeing their friendship develop with each letter they sent each other. Bri had great character growth throughout the story, and Abby did a great job with Jacob's character and the anxiety representation throughout the book.

I did dislike the miscommunication plot between Bri and Jacob, but I feel like it made sense within the overall plot of the book.

Things I loved:
•Strong Latina main female character
•Cinnamon roll main male character
•Fake dating
•Funny banter

Thank you to Netgalley, Forever Publishing, and the author for an advanced copy of this book!

Once again Abby out did herself, if you haven’t read her other books I highly recommend because she places Easter eggs in each title to tie them together. This book didn’t disappoint, it was all the feels and cliff hangers that kept you hanging on to the end! 10 out of 10 recommend!

I received this as an ARC on NetGalley! I loved this book. It was so sweet and I always love Jimenez’ writing. Sometimes I was frustrated by the will they just be together already? But overall so good!

Thanks to @netgalley and @readforeverpub for the gifted copy of Yours Truly, by Abby Jimenez, and possibly one of my favorite books of the year. In this fabulous, amazing book we meet an ER doctor named Brianna Ortiz, who is beloved at work, but has been having a tough time. When the book starts, there is a new doctor named Jacob Maddox who has had horrible luck on his first day. I don’t want to say too much, because I loved the beginning of this book just as much as the other parts.

Y’all, I loved everything about this book. The meetcute, how Brianna and Jacob begin to navigate a relationship with his social anxiety, how Jacob’s anxiety manifests itself (because oh man did I relate to it), and how Brianna got to know him. Jimenez hit it out of the park with this one. You can tell that this book is very thoroughly researched, with the amount of detail that went into it. And, for anyone with anxiety, specifically social anxiety, this book is very relatable. It was neat to see some of myself within this book character, and to see how Brianna learned about it and how she was so sweet to him…oh my gosh, what a story.

Abby Jimenez has done it again. Just when you think her last book is your favorite she releases what will be your new favorite. At least that’s what always happens to me. Yours Truly is a delight. The characters, the subtle odes to books past, the real life insecurities, this book has it all. And above that, Abby’s style of writing has a way of drawing you in from the first page. This book (along with all her others) is one I wish I could read with fresh eyes again and again. Just like Jacob and Briana Abby could never harm us.

Thank you to Netgalley & Abby Jimenez for the e-arc! All reviews are my own, and I am leaving them voluntarily.

WE FINALLY HAVE BRI’S BOOK.

We first met Bri in Part of Your World.. She is an ER Physician in the Twin Cities, and is waiting for the day her divorce is final/and a promotion once her boss retires.

Dr. Jacob Maddox may be my new fave book boyfriend! He is attentive and thoughtful - literallly the SWEETEST man to ever exist. I love that Abby included a MMC that deals with social anxiety - usually the books I read have FMC that MAY have anxiety. I found myself relating to Jacob often, with needing to know the parking situation 😂

Every book I read by Abby gets better and better! I don’t know how she does it, but if you love all her previous ones, you’ll enjoy this one for sure!

Tropes this book has:
Strong FMC, Soft MMC
Workplace Romance
Forced Proximity
Slow Burn
Fake Dating

Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an ARC of this book, all views are my own.

I stumbled upon Abby Jimenez over the summer when I picked up Part of Your World and I loved it! I am so surprised her books are not talked about more. This book lived up to that hype. I actually liked Yours Truly more than Part of Your World.
I adored this book. It is sweet, heart wrenching, laugh out loud funny and beautiful. It made me go deep into my feelings and I felt so connected to both main characters, Brianna and Jacob. I appreciated the real and raw portrayal of the anxiety Jacob experiences. You can tell Jimenez took the time to research anxiety and mental illness. I love Jacob so much and he was such a sweet well written character.
I usually shy away from miscommunication tropes; however, this was written so well and felt realistic. I liked the switching POVs where I got equal time to see how they fall in love and the struggles they both are trying to overcome.

"Having a gentle man like this one choose you to be part of his private, insular world. To be as special as each thing he carefully surrounded himself with. How lucky that woman would be."

"I was afraid of change [...] And I thought it was me. I thought any relationship I was in was going to be that hard because of who I was. How I was."

"The truest sacrifices are the ones no one knows anything about."

AHHHH! Every time I say Abby's latest book is my favorite, she has to go and one up herself. Bri and Jacob's story was defintely my favorite in the Abbyverse. Jacob is seriously the sweetest ever! (Although I am still waiting for Abby to write a grumpy jerk with a soft inside, those are my fav). And just wait until you meet his dog, because of course there is a dog.

This book was no less than we've come to expect from Abby Jimenez. She so tactfully handles tough, real life issues. This book deals with several mental health issues including a deep dive into clinical anxiety. In her usual style, there are artfully woven character plots and cameos/Easter eggs to past books. I'm not sure anything will EVER top the Light Ring scene, however there were still plenty of moments that had me cackling.

I love Abby’s books so we need to start there. I have read all of her books up to this point and this is by far my favorite so far. I had so many emotions reading this, I laughed, I cried and I felt so connected to the heartbreak and the starting over and learning to trust again. It’s hard, as a twice divorced person it’s so difficult to start over but the trusting another person and starting over again is hardest of all, I got to read this one while moving in with my partner and his kids, because I learned to trust again. The way Abby writes her characters they are real people with problems, no one is perfect and I absolutely love that. The book starts with
two people that have very different problems about trust and finding love again, but also about kidney disease and the toll it takes on the person dealing with it but also how it effects everyone around them helping to care for that person, it also handles anxiety and what that is like better than most books I have read. I definitely recommend reading this book when it comes out and following Abby on social media because not only is she a talented writer but a hilarious person.

This is a super solid 4.5/5 for me!
I absolutely devoured this book I couldn’t put it down. I instantly was drawn to both main characters, they felt extremely real and genuine and I just loved them both so much.

But big shoutout to Jacob I literally have never loved a golden retriever/ cinnamon roll boyfriend more than him i’m OBSESSED.

This story was so real and raw with just the perfect amount of romcom cheese and i’m obsessed!! I would read about them forever!!

I wish there was even more of their relationship fluff before the third act I would have read hundreds more pages of them.

Thank you to Netgalley and Grand Central Publishing for this ARC.
