Abby Jimenez does! not! miss!
As Dr. Brianna Ortiz's life is falling apart around her, the last thing she needs is a new coworker who is a total jerk. But, when this coworker, Dr. Jacob Maddox, writes her an apology letter for his not so stellar first impression, she realizes she may have been completely wrong about him.
The biggest compliment I can give to Jimenez is that this book contains the best representation I have ever seen for how debilitating anxiety can be and to see that representation come from a male perspective, was really refreshing. Aside from that, this book manages to create such a vivid atmosphere. I really felt like I knew all of these characters, even the minor family members, It created such realistic drama, even about life-threatening diseases, and not once did it feel melodramatic or over-the-top. Every character felt so real in their reactions and emotions. Dr. Maddox is the most beautifully well spoken (in his letters at least) male character I have ever had the pleasure of reading and there were so many times his letters gave me butterflies. Jimenez creates such a beautiful, romantic atmosphere in her books that still feel so grounded in reality. It is laugh out loud funny but emotional in a way that only Jimenez manages. Finally, the spice in this book was the perfect amount to keep it sexy and fun without taking over the entire story. Thank you to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for the Arc in exchange for my honest review!

I loved every bit of this book! I've now read all 5 of Abby Jimenez's books in the last few months and I do think they just keep getting better and better. I was invested in this one right away.
One of my favorite things about Abby Jimenez's writing is that she writes swoony and authentic characters, amazing love stories, and manages to also tackle important issues. This book encompasses all of that and does it so gracefully.
Both Briana and Jacob are so well written -- and the depiction of Jacob's anxiety and the ways he copes with it was so thorough and accurate. It's impossible not to fall in love with both of them and root for a happy ever after. All of the friends and family are equally entertaining -- I loved reading about Jacob's family dynamics, as well as all the characters in the hospital.
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book!

Abby did it again!! Yours Truly was such a fun read that I couldn’t put down! I loved Jacob and Brianna. Jacob is such a lovable character. He definitely is up there with the rest of Abby’s male characters. I loved how raw he was with his anxiety. I felt like I knew him. Brianna is a firecracker and super funny. She cares so deeply for her brother. I love anything Abby creates and can’t wait for the next one!!

This was a super cute and super fun read. I read it in a sitting couldn't put it down I loved the story and the characters so much

Thank you NetGalley for this book.
I normally don't give out 5 stars, but this book may be one of the best romance books I've read in my life. It made me laugh, cry, smile, and filled my heart with job. The book was about meeting people where they are and not trying to change each other. I was reading this book in the car with my husband and I laughed out loud and he asked why I was laughing and I explained why.. He said he's never laughed at a book and I told him he hasn't read the right book.
I was so in love with all the characters. They were all so lovable. The grandpa who kept trying to get a cigarette, the cussing parrot, the sex therapist and all in between.
I can't wait for my friends to read this so we can talk about it. .It's simply amazing.

Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez is a novel that truly has it all from bad first impressions to fake dating to the swoon. Dr. Briana Ortiz and Dr. Jacob Maddox have a lot in common. They are doctors at the same hospital. They both have a few issues going on in their love lives. They are supposedly up for the same promotion. They have a love of supply closets. However, due to a bad first impression—they become enemies immediately. Until, Jacob writes Briana a letter. Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez has everything a romance reader is looking for when they pick up a book—swoony and hilarious letters and notes, well-developed relationship, interesting characters, a great storyline, lots of angst, and a beautiful romance. If you have never read a novel by Abby Jimenez, you are missing out.

Another 5⭐️ romcom by Abby Jimenez! ❤️😍
I LOVE all of Abby’s books. There is something about the way she writes that is just a step above other romcoms for me. The characters are witty; there is great banter; some parts are laugh out loud funny; there is always a bigger story involved that brings depth; something always makes me cry; there is good chemistry and romance, but nothing too cheesy; and I never want them to end! Her books are so down to earth and just pull me in. Yours Truly touched me in all of these same ways. I thought it was such a great read!
This book focuses on Brianna (Bri,) who is Alexis’ best friend from Part of Your World. Her divorce is about to be final and she has sworn off relationships. She has no interest in the hot new ER doctor at her hospital (named Jacob) and is pretty cold to him. But some sweet and fun letter writing between the two cracks the door open for a great friendship. Then Jacob, who is maybe the nicest guy ever, (secretly but no so secretly) agrees to donate a kidney to Bri’s younger brother (Benny.) And Bri agrees to pretend to be Jacob’s girlfriend as his ex-girlfriend marries his brother. Of course this romcom trope leads exactly where you think it will. Are these feelings real? Are they reciprocated? With Jacob’s anxiety and Bri’s fear of abandonment, their issues and miscommunications can’t help but complicate matters. Will Bri self sabotage to avoid greater hurt? Or can these two take a chance on the possibility of the love of a lifetime?
I really loved how Abby wrote these characters. So fun and snarky, yet so tender and sweet. Bri is so tough. And Jacob is such a sweetheart. Abby helps the reader understand so clearly what each of their issues are as she unpacks so much about anxiety as well as abandonment. On the outside looking in I admit that I got a bit frustrated by the repetitiveness of their reasoning through excuses to stay apart. But I also fully understood where the characters were coming from. There are also many heartfelt moments surrounding family - with the kidney transplant and with other interactions. The side characters are so well written and add great dimension (as usual.) Along with touching moments, Abby is great at adding comic relief. So many fun moments are interspersed throughout the book. There is the perfect balance of depth, humor and romance.
This book can be read as a standalone, but it’s especially fun to read in connection with Part of Your World. I love the glimpses of Alexis and Daniel and The Grant House. I also love little nods to Abby’s earlier books as well (such as mentions of blogger Vanessa and listening to Lola Simone.) There are even special nuggets for Abby fans that include Nadia Cakes and unique charcuterie boards and light switches. And of course, Jacob’s rescue dog, Lieutenant Dan, ties in with Abby’s love of animals and rescues. It’s so fun to pick up on all of it - so read all of her books leading up to this one!
I could’ve read this in one sitting. I didn’t want to put it down! But I tried to savor it a bit, knowing it’ll be too long before the next book in the series. I’m sad it’s over. And I can’t wait to read more books by Abby!
** very thankful to have received this as an ARC from the publisher via Netgalley

A delightful follow up to Part of Your World with endearing characters whose misunderstandings and assumptions of each other take readers on a wild ride to true love.

Much like her previous books, I could not put this one down! The difference this time, and why I truly believe it’s her best work yet, is how personal some of the topics she covers are for her and how deeply it resonated.
Briana’s hurt and difficulty letting go of past traumas and the portrayal of Jacob’s anxiety and coping strategies he uses to stay “functional” are so very real and relatable.
However, do NOT be fooled! It’s still an Abby Jimenez book! Puns and clever dialogue abound. Pets and Nadia cakes and references to the phallic shaped items war she has going on with her best friend are there! It’s a fun ride that will break your heart and then open the door for hope again and again. Reading “Yours Truly” feels like a love story where the characters not only fall in love with each other, but find themselves again— and that’s the kind of love we all need. Love shows up, as Jimenez says, and here it shows up in several unexpected but important places.

Briana is a tough as nails ER doctor who is going through a divorce from a cheating spouse while also serving as a caretaker for her chronically ill brother. Jacob is also an ER doctor who has just transferred to Briana’s hospital in order to escape working with his ex. When they meet at work, sparks don’t exactly fly. However, Jacob quickly changes Briana’s unfavorable impression by writing her a heartfelt letter explaining their interaction. Before they know it, they’ve become pen pals and good friends. Jacob offers Briana’s brother a selfless gift, and Briana agrees to help Jacob by pretending to be his girlfriend in order to help him escape unwanted attention from his family at an upcoming wedding. Will Briana be able to trust Jacob after her prior trauma? Will Jacob be able to share his true feelings with Briana and turn a fake relationship into the real thing?
I loved this book! It was such a sweet romcom that also tackled some hard topics (dm for content warnings). Briana and Jacob are both likable characters but imperfect and flawed. I loved the representation of anxiety in Jacob’s character, which was portrayed in a realistic way. I loved Jacob’s three legged dog (named Lieutenant Dan!) and Jafar the potty mouthed parrot. Both provided comedic relief and there were so many laugh out loud moments throughout the book. Briana is a strong female character who made me laugh and held her own many times while also being kind and sensitive to Jacob’s needs. The two main characters just fit together so well and really complimented one another perfectly. I loved the romance tropes- fake dating, forced proximity, and enemies to friends to lovers were all great additions to the storyline. I’d highly recommend this book to any romcom lover!
Thank you so much to Forever Publishing, Netgalley, and Abby Jimenez for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

The character development for both Briana and Jacob was TOP NOTCH. I feel like I know them and I was invested in their individual journeys. This is definitely a slow burn, but I was so pleased with the pacing and slow progression of their relationship. They both had a lot of relationship trauma and needed time to learn to trust each other. AND OH MY GOSH THE LAST 10% HAD ME IN TEARS. I want to protect Briana at all costs. Jacob and Briana's chemistry is so evident and it was so satisfying to see them finally happy.

I actually adored this book with my whole entire heart. Yours Truly genuinely had me grinning from cheek to cheek, giggling and kicking my feet the ENTIRE time I was reading it!!! It’s a classic romcom with many of our fav tropes and a lot of fluff but what really sets this one apart is the characters!!!!! I fell in love with Bri and Jacob right off the bat. Bri is an incredible woman— she’s a smart and talented doctor, a loving sister, great friend and a genuinely hilarious gal. The stuff she said was literally so off the wall I was cackling. And Jacob!??!! Can we clone this man asap bc I need him so bad! He is the sweetest little cinnamon roll man (who’s also tall, ripped, also a doctor, and caring as HELL). He’s a sweet angel who’s an introvert and has social anxiety so he and Bri didn’t exactly start things off on the right foot at work (where they’re both ED docs). He decides to apologize via hand written note!!!!!!!! It was literally the sweetest thing ever. They fall into a little routine of consistently writing each other back and forth. I swear these notes had me smiling SO BIG I couldn’t deal.
Bri and Jacob’s relationship is genuinely so beautiful and pure!! They know exactly what the other needs and they treat each other with the utmost care and affection!!! I want to wrap them both up in a little burrito blanket and hold them forever. This book was funny, sweet, heartwarming, and a smidge emotional. It gave me all the best feels!!! Add it to your tbr besties and pls read Part of Your World first if you haven’t already!!
Thank you so so much Abby Jimenez and Forever Publishing for the ARC!!!!

Oh my god this is definitely one of my favorite reads of the year! Thank you SO MUCH to NetGalley and Read Forever Publishing for the opportunity to read Jacob and Bri’s story.
There is so much to love about these sweet, thoughtful, gentle characters, but my favorite is the way they take care of each other. Bri and Jacob see each other in a way that is so lovely and rare, and honestly I am shook at how beautifully Abby Jimenez was able to capture it on a page. They are always thinking of each others’ needs, always anticipating the others’ feelings. It was so heart-achingly beautiful to read.
The anxiety representation in this book was lovely. As someone who has lived with anxiety my whole life, seeing the way that Bri loved Jacob for ALL his parts, not to spite some, was enough to make me cry. These characters and this whole book have my entire heart. Thank you thank you thank you for the opportunity to read this.

Totally a 5!
Love shows up and that is that!!
Ok, maybe you want to know more about Yours Truly. If you do, read below.
We met our heroine in the last book. Her name is Briana Ortiz and she is an ER physician. She is soon to be divorced and hoping to get a promotion if her boss ever retires. She was married for ten years when she discovered her husband was cheating for the past 2 years with her good friend. And if that was not enough to deal with, her younger brother has end-stage renal disease. He is on dialysis and waiting on a match for a transplant has been hard.
Our hero, Dr. Jacob Maddox is also an ER physician. He recently transferred to the same hospital where Briana works. He also comes from a broken relationship. His brother is now engaged to his ex-girlfriend, Amy. Jacob was with her for two and a half years. Jacob also suffers from terrible social anxiety. He prefers the quiet of his home and his dog, Lieutenant Dan, to a night at the bar.
Talk about both being a mess, right?
Yours Truly works! I adore both characters. I thought Abby Jimenez fleshed them out perfectly. The social anxiety Jacob experienced felt real to me. I also understood Briana's fears after what she went through. There were so many details I loved: The letters, the getting-to-know questions, LT Dan, and both main characters' families. Jacob was one of the good guys and Briana needed to finally find someone who deserved her.
An extra thank you to author Abby Jimenez for distracting me from Hurricane Ian while it was causing havoc in my backyard. I knew I needed something like this to get me through this storm without power.
Cliffhanger: No
5/5 Fangs
A complimentary copy was provided by Forever via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book so much. I saw so much of myself in Jacob. this book is so cute. Jacob is so sweet to Bri.

This book gave me alllllll the feels 😍.
Only Abby Jimenez can make me sad by reading a 5⭐️ book, because when it ended I was like what the hell do I do now?
A fake dating, sort of rivals, coworkers turned lovers situation involving two ER physicians that outwardly couldn’t seem any different and yet being together makes them both feel complete situation. Is that enough though? Can they move past the hurt of previous betrayal and trauma to forge a future together or is the past too damaging to allow for onward movement?
This book made me laugh, cry, lust, love, and ache all at the same time. I was especially touched by the author sharing her personal journey relating to this book in the very end. Goes to show that she is even more spectacular than the characters she’s brought into our lives, and when life hands her lemons, she can make a darn mean lemonade.
I know this book won’t be out for a few months but I HIGHLY recommend you preorder it or request on netgalley!
Thank you @readforeverpub @belmontbooks @netgalley for my gifted copies in exchange for my honest review.

A masterpiece, as usual, from Abby Jimenez.
I didn’t like Jimenez’s last book as much as all the previous one but nevertheless I had high expectations from this one, and it did not disappoint. The main male character is a total cinnamon roll, and I really appreciated how his anxiety was depicted and how he coped with it in his day to day…as an anxiety sufferer myself I found it very realistic and hope inspiring.
I devoured the book, and I really enjoyed the way it was written, it had some really funny bits and the serious topics were treated delicately. 5/5

Yet another amazing book by Abby Jimenez that I did not want to end. A big Thank You to Abby, the Publisher, NetGalley, and the Abby Jimenez Reader Facebook group for this advanced copy. This book had all the feels: happiness, sadness, tons of humor, and everything in between. And as is always the case with Abby’s book, there is a deeper meaning behind each romance, whether it is about physical or mental health. Where there times when the “he/she doesn’t love me” storyline was stretched out a bit too long? Absolutely. But that didn’t prevent me from giving this book 5 stars. I am so sad that this book is over before it was even published, and I really hope I’ll forget the story by next April so I can listen to the audiobook and love this book all over again.

Wow! Another masterpiece by Abby.
This book hit me on a personal level as I suffer from anxiety and social anxiety as well. Jacob really came to life for me.
I love the banter between Jacob and Briana and how she just understands Jacob and his mental health needs.
Fun, romantic and witty yet serious and thought provoking. This is a book you don't want to put down. 100% go and get this book! I would also like to thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book on Netgalley.

I don’t think I have enough words to say to do this book justice. Just like book one in this series, Part of Your World, I fell head over heals in love with the two main characters - both ER doctors with broken hearts, Briana, a loyal protector and Jacob, a gentle and kind, yet sexy guy.
Heartfelt and good for the soul, this real-life, yet swoony story is perfect. It starts off as an enemies to lovers trope but ends up as a fake dating trope. It’s filled with cute handwritten notes, hospital lunch dates, and a swearing parrot, who had me howling!
Note: Both books in the series can be read as standalones.
Trigger warnings: Kidney disease, divorced main character, cheating, depression, social and clinical anxiety (talked about throughout the whole book), panic attacks, talk of suicide and pregnancy loss.
