I absolutely adore her books and this one doesn't disappoint! Abby has such a way of developing her characters. It's like an instant connection and I can't wait to watch the story unfold. There are so many sweet moments in this book, but also so many hilarious, laugh out loud moments. Oh Jacob, just wait till y'all meet Jacob! ❤️He's my fave! As with all of her books, I consider this a must read.
4.5 stars

This book is everything you've come to know and love about Abby Jimenez's writing. I was so excited to read Bri's book, and it did not disappoint. Brianna Ortiz is a doctor who is divorcing her cheating husband, taking care of her sick brother, living in her childhood home and trying to get a promotion. In enters Jacob, the new dr who she thinks is in competition with her for the promotion and who she does not like, however he is dealing with his own issues (his ex is about to marry his brother, anxiety, a nosey family). After a rocky start, they begin exchanging letters and they both learn to lean on eachother.
The character development is beautifully done, I love that both Bri and Jacob feel broken from past experiences and learn to trust each other. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, I thought the representation of both (Jacob and Bri's brother to Bri herself) was done wonderfully. To hear Jacob's anxious thoughts was a true glimpse into the head of someone with mental health issues. I loved this book, devoured it in 1 day!

I feel that no matter what I write, I won’t be able to do Abby Jimenez’s latest book justice. I will begin by stating that I was hooked on her writing when I was approved for an advanced copy of her first book, “The Friend Zone” in 2019. Each time I was approved for an additional ARC by Abby, I greedily made my way through the book. I couldn’t get enough!
I love the characters of all the books by this author, as well as the plots. She writes about real people in real situations. And as a plus, she adds a spark of humor that ties everything together. I genuinely wish I could live in Abby’s world with all the characters! They are honest, they have problems, and their life is messy. But they are all good people! And I absolutely love that the loose ends are tied up when I’ve finished each book. This is such a plus for me.
I have to say that “Yours Truly” is my favorite of her books so far, although this is almost like saying that I would have a favorite child out of a bunch of kids! But I identify with Jacob Maddox’s character in so many ways. Of course, this book included the enemies-to-lovers trope and “fake dating.” But that isn’t why I loved the book so much. It was all because of Jacob.
Jacob Maddox, an emergency room doctor, just moved to town and immediately started on the wrong foot with the other emergency room doctor, Brianna Ortiz. However, they develop a friendship through written correspondence (what a lost art!), and he discovers that her brother needs a kidney transplant. At the same time, Jacob needs a date/girlfriend for the upcoming pre-wedding festivities for his brother’s nuptials. So, they strike a bargain, and you know what that will lead to.
I loved the book because Jacob also has social anxiety. Brianna tunes into it so well and supports his coping mechanisms. While I also have anxiety, I did not realize that some of my behaviors are coping mechanisms, just like Jacob's. Reading his story was validating; I felt heard and that I’m not “crazy.” I cannot thank Abby Jimenez enough for this.
I read the advanced copy of “Yours Truly” twice. The first time I devoured it so quickly, I wanted to read it a second time to ensure I did not miss any details. I look forward to the audiobook adding yet another dimension to the story. Regardless of your favorite reading platform, I highly recommend this book and even though you might cry at some parts, know that it will all be worth it in the end.

Abby hits another one out of the park with Yours Truly.
The mental health rep was spot on and I loved how Jacob was the one who struggled with anxiety (usually it's the woman). I loved his sensitivity, his thoughtfulness, his journaling (and how it resolved - iykyk). The social anxiety was so relatable and I loved how Abby portrayed the struggle that it can be every single day.
Jacob's family was amazing. I loved Benny's storyline and appreciated all of the research Abby did for accuracy. I loved the banter and Ava Xfinity and be harmless and how love just always shows up.
Brianna was a little frustrating at times so this is a 4.5 stars for me (instead of Abby's usual 5 stars) but it cemented her even further as one of my favorite authors of all time.

Yours Truly successfully combines a good story while educating readers about anxiety disorder. The author has created good characters and, a decent plot and dialog with a careful and informed handling of the subject of severe anxiety. I not only enjoyed the book as a romance, I also came away with greater understanding of what it’s like to have significant anxiety in one’s life from the perspectives of both the sufferer and their loved ones. Nice work!

I received an ARC of Yours Truly for my honest review.
I didn’t want it this novel to end! Another 5 star review from me for Abby. The story follow Briana, who is the best friend and co-worker of Alexis from Part of Your World. It isn't necessary to read POYW first, but it will help you get to know Alexis and Daniel.
Bri is an ER physician and is the caretaker for her younger brother, Benny, who has advanced kidney disease. She is also dealing with an impending divorce after her husband cheated on her with her friend. A new ER physician, Jacob, has arrived and Bri doesn't give him the time of day.
Their relationship begins slowly, as Jacob navigates his own social and emotional anxiety. A friendship is kindled and they enter into a "fake" dating relationship to help Jacob get through some difficult family gathering that will take place in the near future. As they spend more time together, they begin to fall for each other, but both thinks the other isn't interested.
It really is a perfect example of how our own insecurities, fears, and anxieties can convince us of anything and deceive us into believing lies- lies about our worth and lies about those who love us.
Abby shares so much of her personal story in these characters. It was beautiful and raw. I found parts of myself both in both Bri AND in Jacob. Bri’s fear and Jacob’s anxiety were so tangible and believable because I’ve felt those things deeply in my own life. This was truly a masterpiece of helping the reader get inside the mind of someone dealing with those emotions. I cannot wait to listen to the audio book! If you haven’t added this yet to your TBR- do it.
Posted on Goodreads. Will post on Bookbub and Amazon, once I'm able. Will also share on Audible if I can get an audio book code. I plan to listen as well. Will make several Tiktok videos about this book as we approach it's release. Loved it SO much.

I finished Yours Truly about a month ago and have searched for the proper words to review it since then, yet I don't know that those words exist so I will give it my best. I absolutely loved this book!! It made me laugh and cry throughout. It educated me on what it is like to live with anxiety and how loved ones can help.
Abby Jimenez did a wonderful job of developing the main characters of Bri and Jacob so that I understood why they were the way they were and where they were coming from in their decisions during this co-workers who are fake dating story. I honestly cannot not recommend this book enough!

Author Abby Jimenez brings another couple to life that you will fall in love with. She is good at writing down to earth characters with real life problems that we can all understand. You will laugh, cry, and hurt during your reading journey, and wish you could be a part of their world in the end.

The story was really sweet. The characters were authentic and relatable - far from perfect, but in a good way. The last 15% unfortunately felt like it had way too much going on before a happily ever after, but overall it was a great story.
Thanks to NetGalley and Forever for the ARC.

The whole fake dating trope is done so often, and yet a good author can still make it hit you in the feels. And that's exactly what this one did.

Abby Jimenez never disappoints. Her books always mix the right amount of rom-com with depth. They are not the typical beach reads because they delve deeper and really pull at your heartstrings. Yours Truly was no exception. Briana and Jacob are both wonderfully written characters with their own insecurities and characteristics. The topics in covered in this book are massive and so well done. Jacob deals with anxiety and the way it's written is so relatable and understandable even to those who do not deal with it personally. I enjoyed Briana and Jacob's relationship and loved that they each had their own separate stories as well. I am a big fan.

I already knew I loved Abby Jimenez and her books. So I wasn’t surprised that I loved this book. But I wasn’t prepared for just how much I would love it and how much I would identify with these characters.
Brianna- is fresh out of a divorce and has sworn off all men. When she laments to her friend about the woes of dating these days, I felt that in my soul. “𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘯” is maybe my favorite line from a book ever. Despite being reserved, she also clearly has a huge heart and would do anything to help someone.
Jacob- can we take a moment to appreciate a main character with crippling anxiety!? Because we don’t see that often enough and it is so relatable. From overthinking every interaction, to swearing he will remember an embarrassing situation on his deathbed. All of it was so relatable to me as someone who also has anxiety. I appreciated this being highlighted but in such a positive and beautiful way.
The secondary characters were just as wonderful - from Jacob’s big family to Alexis and Daniel from part of your world, and even a parrot who curses.
This book had me laughing out loud, crying like a baby and hooked on every word. The relationship between Jacob and Brianna was just so special. The way she helped him with his anxiety, the way he showed up for her and helped her work through her trauma. Where do I find a Jacob?!

Abby Jimenez is a amazing storyteller, and this book reveals it yet again! Yours Truly made me laugh, then really laugh out loud (scared the cat even!) before making me tear up and then ugly cry. It was a great book, and I will read anything that Abby writes!
Thank you to Netgalley, Abby and Estelle for allowing me to read this Advanced Reader Copy. Yours Truly will be released on April 11, 2023.

5/5 ☆
Loved this. My first Abby Jimenez book (I know) and it did not disappoint! Jacob is one of the sweetest and kindest characters I’ve ever met. He is so endearing and caring and shy. I loved his character, how selfless he is and how much he cares for Briana and vice versa. Not the biggest fan of the friends to lovers trope, but this might be my favorite friends to lovers book to date! Everything just felt so natural - it was paced well and chemistry between the characters was very believable. All of their moments together were so swoony and feel good. Overall, really adored this book. I need to read Abby Jimenez’s entire backlist!
Tropes:
-Friends to lovers
-Fake dating
-One bed
-Dual POV
-Introvert MMC, extrovert FMC

This story contains all the fun stuff. Fake dating, cinnamon roll love interest, laugh out loud moments, slow burn.
This story follows two ER doctors, Bri and Jacob. Jacob is new to the hospital and he gets off to a rough start with Bri. Jacob who suffers from anxiety, has a hard time communicating with Bri so he writes her letter to apologize for their rocky start. The letter is well received by Bri so they start writing back and forth to each other, which sparks a friendship. Jacob is in need of a date to his brothers wedding and the pre wedding events, which Bri happily volunteers for.
It’s no secret at this point that I love Abby Jimenez. She writes such emotional stories where you laugh one chapter and you’re crying the next. This book delivered on all fronts and made me laugh harder than any other romcom I’ve read. My favorite part of this book is that Abby does an amazing job at addressing anxiety, as well as relationship and childhood trauma. As someone who has major social anxiety I felt so seen!
Thank you Forever/Grand Central publishing for the ARC of this book. I enjoyed the heck out of it.

I legit squealed when I saw I had received the ARC for this book.
This was, hands down, my favorite Abby Jimenez book.
Yours Truly was one of the best actual love stories that I've read in awhile. A lot of Rom Coms and Romance authors these days will give us a lot of sex , a few good troupes with a love story thrown in for good measure. But LACK in the actual relationship development.
But the beauty of Yours Truly is that you are so so invested in the love growing between our two characters and their families and the real life issues both of them are dealing with that the sex enhances the story.
Now, if you know me and know my reviews you know that I LOVE SPICE. LOVE IT.
So if I say that a book with ONE SPICY SCENE is one of my favorite books of the year? It must be good.
I don't want to spoil this book for anyone yet since this won't be published until April 2023, but let me just say PRE-ORDER it! I will be pre-ordering despite getting this ARC because it must live on my shelf.
More detailed review will come closer to publication.
Thank you netgalley and Forever Grand Central Pub for this ARC!

Yours Truly is more than a love story, it is a beautifully honest showcase of the kindness of people, the insecurities of men and women and the difficulties in finding & trusting true love. And, of course, this narrative is sprinkled with the sass, humor and a dash of sex that loyal Abby Jimenez readers have come to know and love. Jacob and Briana are so wonderfully written, so raw and so real - readers will easily identify with them. The accuracy and description of Jacob’s thoughts and feelings surrounding his anxiety is amazing; Abby has written Jacob in a way that even those that have never experienced debilitating anxiety will be able to empathize and understand his perspective - and that is truly remarkable.
Yours Truly is another impressive novel with lovely characters that sweep you up into the storyline of their lives quickly and make it difficult to put the book down until you reach the final page.

Abby Jimenez does it again. Yours Truly grabbed me from the first sentence and kept me til the end. The characters are well developed and thought out. I feel like I am among friends as I read this book. The story was fast pased and relatable. The characters were relatable and you truly felt like a part of the story.

This book was amazing! Incredible storytelling and depth of characters, Abby Jimenez has done it again! This book had me in my feelings and I stopped everything until I was finished. Thank you for the ARC!

BOOK REVIEW ❤️ 📖
Yours Truly
By: Abby Jimenez
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars
I received this book as an ARC and was so excited to read it! I read Part of Your World a few months ago and loved it. I was so excited when I found out that Yours Truly was going to tell the story of Alexis' best friend Bri! I can't adequately put into words just how much I loved this book.
I am such a fan of the female main character. Shes funny, witty, and just so unapologetically herself. The way she loves her brother and is there for him through his kidney failure. Also the way she is able to pick herself up after having a really bad history with men. She opens herself up to be vulnerable again and the story is just incredible.
Jacob...... there are no words. Can this man please be real? I love him, seriously lol. He is so genuine and loving! I loved how Abby put a spotlight on his mental health and how she explained it with so much detail and love.
The family members of both the main characters were so fun! I love Jacob's grandpa. Enough said!
This book will be published April, 11 2023. Go pre-order it now. It's amazing and you need to read it, trust me!
Thank you @netgalley and @readforeverpub for this ARC!
