This book was fine but not my favorite. Ordinarily I love a holiday-themed romance but this one didn't grab me.

This was a really fun and enjoyable plotline that made you feel all warm and cosy inside. It was the perfect amount of festive and the characters were great to follow.

*The Christmas Cupid* by Jennifer Joyce is a lighthearted, festive romance that delivers exactly what you’d expect from a holiday-themed story. The plot centers around a woman who unexpectedly becomes involved with a man after a quirky Christmas event, and of course, love and holiday magic ensue.
The writing is charming and easy to read, with a cozy, feel-good atmosphere perfect for the holiday season. The protagonist is likable, and I appreciated her personal growth throughout the story. The romance, while sweet, felt a bit predictable, and the conflict was resolved a bit too easily for my taste. It’s definitely a feel-good story, but it doesn’t offer much in terms of surprises or emotional depth.
Overall, *The Christmas Cupid* is a pleasant, quick read for those looking for a cozy holiday romance. It’s fun and festive, but it doesn’t quite have the substance or depth that I was hoping for. Perfect for fans of light, holiday-themed rom-coms.

The MC frustrated me a lot, and I see this in common winter/christmas love stories lol. The plotline behind dying and reliving after Zoey’s accident was 100% a cool story. Having to become a match maker though.. hm. The whole storyline with Sean - didn’t love at all.

The plot had a fun, heartwarming twist, with a perfect mix of humour and Christmas magic. The characters were likeable and relatable, making it easy to root for their happily-ever-after. While it had its predictable moments, it was a thoroughly enjoyable holiday read that left me smiling.

I’m such a mood reader, Christmas is over but I have tons of Christmas books to read. I may or may not try to a Christmas in July challenge to finish and review all these Christmas romances. I’ll fix my reviews eventually! I promise

The Christmas Cupid
Jennifer Joyce
I’m a big fan of a seasonal Christmas book and like to start my roll into Christmas early. The Christmas Cupid is such a fun concept but I did find the protagonist a bit frustrating. Zoey is struck by a bus on Christmas Eve and tasked with matching six couples in order to get her life back. There were many points I wanted to shake Zoey especially in regard to her toxic boyfriend and be like you deserve better! But it’s all part of this light hearted holiday read, trial and error, second chances, redemption and of course Christmas.

Zoey’s having a bad December. She might be an elf in the local toy shop’s Christmas department, but it’s hard to stay festive when you’ve just been dumped, you’ve had an extremely unfortunate haircut, and your boss volunteers you to walk on stilts in the toy shop’s Christmas parade. After she is hit by a bus, Zoey is sent back to the start of December. The catch? She has to match six true-love couples by Christmas Eve.
This was cute! I enjoyed the audiobook!

For someone who is surrounded by Christmas all day, every day Zoey Beake is having the worst one yet. Zoey is stuck working as a department store elf, just cut her bangs way too short and to top it all off her boyfriend just walked out on her. So when her boss comes to her saying that the store is in need of a replacement for the Christmas parade and Zoey best figure out how to use stilts fast, she wonders if she has finally hit rock bottom in the luck department. But then just when she thought things couldn't get any worse an accident mid-parade ends Zoey's life...almost. She's given a second chance on life - return to the start of December and help six couples find true love by Christmas Eve and she can have her life back. Thinking this is the perfect opportunity to go back and fix things with her boyfriend Zoey sets off on her mission to put things right and help those she loves the most find love for themselves. My first main take away from "The Christmas Cupid" is where is this Christmas market and how do I get my hands on all of these amazing hot chocolates? Also, is The Bake House real? If so, Jennifer Joyce give me the address! If you are looking for an easy, feel-good holiday read. Give "The Christmas Cupid" a try.

Zoey Beake is having a tough time lately. She was dumped by her live-in boyfriend, got a rather ugly haircut and finally was hit by a red double-decker bus labelled ‘The Santa Express’ on Christmas Eve. When she wakes up, or at least thought she woke up, she was greeted by her deceased grandmother. She tells Zoey she has a second chance at life. She is sent back to the beginning of December and is given a task. She must match six couple by Christmas Eve and her life will be saved. Zoey takes the challenge, but also decides that it will give her the opportunity to win back her boyfriend. Will she be able to find 6 love matches by Christmas?
This was a fun story that had a couple of drawbacks for me. I really liked Zoey. She has a great personality, she's fun loving, smart, helpful and a great friend, so why does she want to be with a man who treats her like a doormat. He is rude, spoiled, demanding and doesn't want to do anything but play video games. Zoey works at a toystore, so at Christmas they run a Christmas Grotto with toys, mechanical elves, trains, and eventually Santa. Her workmates are a lot of fun and I love how well they worked together. There is some festive fun, a parade, some trivia, an escape room, parties etc. that Zoey spends time making matches and kowtowing to her boyfriend. I don't want to say much else about the story, but there are several happy ever afters because of Zoey's interference. If it wasn't for her own relationship, I would have probably given this one 4.5 or 5 stars. There is just enough Christmas Magic to make this a fun Christmas read.

This was a fantastic and festive read, I didn't love the second chance at life aspect but these don't usually work for me as a whole so I'm not to surprised by that. Zoey however felt a little too quirky for my tastes.

I really liked this premise of this one, and while it was really adorable, it ended up just falling flat for me.
My biggest issue with the book was that following Zoey was difficult because it wasn't until almost 85% of the way through that she realized the relationship she was trying to save was not one worth saving. I'm all for watching someone figure out their life, but suffering through it for almost the entire book was just... not fun.
I just think this was too long of a build up for her to then immediately realize she was in love with Milo.
I am sure plenty of others will find the journey of this story fun, it just wasn't for me.

The Christmas Cupid is a lovely, feel good, festive read.
Zoey is a fun character. I loved all her quirky clothes, she reminded me of Lou from Me Before You.
I love a Christmas book at any time of the year, and this one really did tick all the festive feel good boxes.

The Christmas Cupid is a lovely, feel good, festive read! It fits right in with my cheesy Christmas romcoms. Groundhog Day meets Christmas! The storyline is great, and I love the characters. Nothing beats a good ending!
Zoey Beake is having a bad December. She’s just been dumped, she’s had an extremely dodgy haircut that even the biggest woolly hat can’t hide, and then a tragic accident involving an elf outfit, stilts, and a red double decker bus labelled ‘The Santa Express’ leaves her dead.
But then Zoey is given a second chance at life. Sent back to the start of December, if she can match six couples by Christmas Eve her life will be saved. Which gives her the perfect opportunity to win her boyfriend back too…
Can Zoey find love in time for Christmas?
Wow really enjoyable read totally recommend
Thank You NetGalley and HQ
.

Predictable, yet enjoyable Christmas book.
Zoey is given a second chance at life and makes a mess at trying to get it right, she is somewhat frustrating and at points making me want to shake some sense into her why can't Zoey see what's in front of her. If you fancy a read that feels like a channel 5 festive film this is worth a read.

What a absolute pleasure of a book Christmas cheer and love make this a delightful read. It definitely gets you in the festive spirit.

After a tragic accident (involving an elf, of all things), Zoey is given a second chance on life with one small catch; she is sent back to the beginning of December with the task of matching 6 couples by Christmas Eve. Zoey is hopeful that she and her ex-boyfriend will be one of those couples. Will Zoey meet the deadline? What will she learn about love along the way?
This was a cute and fun holiday read that I think would be such a fun Hallmark movie. I really enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere and the storyline! Highly recommend!

Christmas Cupid is everything my Christmas-loving heart needed and more! Meet cute, Christmas cheer and just the right amount of drama.

Have you ever watched Drop Dead Diva? If so, this one gives off series DDD vibes, there's also another movie that reminds me of this but for some reason I cannot remember the title. MC is hit by a bus on Christmas Eve and is given a second chance at life. However, in order to fully regain her life, she has to match 6 couples -- hence the Christmas Cupid title. This one was a good Christmas Rom-Com and worth the read!

Can Zoey find love in time for Christmas?
Review: This was my first book by Jennifer Joyce and it certainly won’t be my last. I devoured it in a number of hours because I just couldn’t stop reading! Super fluffy rom-com with queer best friend side character, a time-travelling mission, and realisation of self-worth. I really resonated with Zoey and found myself smiling at Milo’s goofiness along the way. A tad predictable for the major plot points but I think it was meant to be? Literally didn’t take away anything in my opinion. Cannot fault it. Highly recommend!
