A one night stand, second chance, small town, grumpy x sunshine romance? yes, please, and thank you.

It's kind of interesting that this romance is a one-night-stand turned love story. I don't think that's an actual romance trope (unless you just rope it in with strangers-to-lovers), but I liked the story just a little more because it wasn't a situation where a baby forced them to be a couple or anything like that. The main characters became lovers again in the story by choice, ultimately. It was a refreshing take.

I was so excited for bennetts story. I loved him so much in the first one and I love him even more in the second. I really love this series and I can't wait for the next one. I highly recommend all of them.

This is my new favorite small-town romance. You know the kind that makes your heart squeeze in love for the characters. I need to read this whole series and need to more about this world and these adorable couples.

The cover artist gets 5 stars. I noticed this author used the same cover artist as Tarah Dewitt's Funny Feelings, and that book is one of my fav romances of all time. Sadly, I did not feel the same way about this romance. The book gets a low rating from me.

Partially my fault, since I am exuberantly repulsed by small town romances. Gotta be honest, I prefer my hustle and hustle big cities and woke characters. I just don't salivate over the farmer archetype. If you love the small romance setting and need your fix, do not hesitate to pick this up for an easy, low-stakes read.

As for the characters, I had a hard time connecting with Evelyn, as it was difficult to empathize with her social media woes. I don't need to share her problems in my own life to empathize, if the writing is compelling enough to establish this for the reader. I have read books about social media travel influencers before where I was able to deeply connect (some excellent ones I recommend are Life's Too Short by Abby Jimenez and People We Meet on Vacation by none other than Emily Henry).

The heart of my issue with this book is the lack of chemistry between the two love interests. There was some strange animosity and tension when the characters reconnected, which really fizzled out any connection they once had. Unfortunately, the author did not build this back up effectively. The main characters did not have much in common, and I found myself thinking, these characters would never be compatible or on each other's romantic radar in real life.

Unfortunately not for me. I wasn't a fan of the story line either. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review.

I love the world that the author has created and was very excited for this book.

At first, I found the story a little hard to follow. It jumped back and forth between the past and the present. But after about the first 20%, it found its groove for me. At that point, I fell in love with the characters and the relationship they found with one another.

Another thing that I found strange, however, was the narrator casting for this. The female narrator was too mature for this influencer character (also why was her best friend given a British accent), and the male narrator was clearly Canadian. It was just a bit odd.

Overall, I love this series, I enjoyed this book, and I will be reading the next one.

Quick review - I first listened to this in late September/early October and really enjoyed it. I am currently listening to the first novel in the series again to discuss for book club. I'll follow up with this one and update my review.

I love In The Weeds with my whole heart, and loved listening to the audiobook. It was a completely different experience, but I loved having both Evie and Beckett in my ears for a few hours.

So thrilled to see Borison’s books in this format!

I did not care for the audio of this book. As an audiobook lover, I just don’t felt that the narrators were right for this book. It’s difficult to explain but I certainly wasn’t my cup of tea. The book itself was ok, but I had a hard time with the narration.

Beckett slept with Evelyn one weekend years ago while on vacation and never could forget her. Little does he expect her to turn up as the social media influencer for the farm he works for. Will she remember who he is? Will they pick back up where they left off? Has too much time passed?

I cannot express enough how much I adored this book! I like Lovelight farms a lot (Book 1 in the series) but had issues with the last minute plot twist. This one had everything I loved about Lovelight without the annoying twist at the end. This was perfection and I highly recommend it. This perfect amount of plot and spice. Beckett is a true delight of an MC and Evelyn even though she has her moments you truly cannot help but root for.

Thank you to @netgalley and @dreamscapemedia for my audiobook copy of this book!

I loved visiting the characters from Lovelight Farms. Beckett is strong, loyal, reserved, passionate, and I loved seeing him and Evie together. In addition to the romance, there was a focus on Evelyn as she tried to find what truly makes her happy. There was such a beauty to that and there were so many moments of laughter and pure joy.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

At first this book was a little hard to follow as it seemed to jump around a little, but after a bit it became easier. The romance in the book was good and Becket was so sweet. This was a fun read after I got through the initial slowness.

I love a good rom-com. They're so good. I didn't realize that this was the second book in a series. but i love that I now have a book to go read.

Lovelight farms continues with book two in the series: In The Weeds. This story continues with the story of Beckett and Evenlyn, where you only received a small reserved portion of the story in book one.

This second in the series is just as good! It is about losing yourself and finding it somewhere unexpected. This feel good romance is just what one needs after spooky season! This one is set after Christmas, within the winter months. Still full of cold winds, but beautiful stars!

Thank you to @NetGalley and @Dreamscape_Media for my audiobook!

Evelyn St James needs to find her happy again - the last time she felt that way was at Lovelight Farms. It has nothing to do with Beckett Porter, the hot tree farmer, or the nights they shared together though, she swears.

Jumping into book two of a companion series can be a little dicey, but I felt that I had most of the information I needed to read this anyway! I would usually read in order, but this can work as a standalone.

I love a good ol grumpy man in romance, so Beckett checked the boxes for me! I also can’t resist cute little towns and local businesses, so we were really hitting all the targets here 😂 (except the miscommunication trope, because it’s not my fave)

The narration was great, and I love dual POV audiobooks with 2 voice actors!

I am excited to get into the rest of this series now that I’ve read this one!

I didn't realize this was book two of a series, which left me wanting more details to be in love with the characters. BUT having not read #1, I still very much enjoyed this steamy romance. The narrator kept me interested, as did the story, and I blew through this one in no time!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ALC!

After one incredible weekend in Maine, Beckett Porter can’t stop thinking about Evelyn St. James. When she randomly shows up at his farm as a part of a social media contest, he’s confused and surprised to find out she’s an extremely popular influencer. After leaving and not loving her job, she returns to Lovelight Farms, where she was last the happiest.

This book was such a delight. I didn’t read the first Lovelight novel, but I didn’t find it hard to keep up with what was going on and who the characters were. I definitely will go back and read the first one!

In the Weeds is a soft, gentle, warm and fuzzy read.

Evelyn St. James and Beckett Porter shared a sexy, steamy weekend together months ago, and after parting ways, neither have stopped thinking about the flirty fling.

They’re unexpectedly reunited when Evie, a social media influencer, shows up on his farm as part of a contest for something or other. Lovelight Farms is the perfect place to land for Evie, who’s feeling restless and burned out at work.

Beckett is the grumpiest grump with a big, squishy heart. The town is precious and the side characters are delightful. It was a joy to listen to this story, and I’ll be finishing the series this month.

Pippa Jayne and Dane Anderson were made to narrate this audiobook. Pippa’s narration was soft, honeyed, musical, and emotive. It paired perfectly with Dane’s deep, rich voice for Beckett. The audiobook is 10 hours, 46 minutes. Thanks to Dreamscape Media for an ALC. It’s out now!
