Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for an AudioARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
A perfect feel-good romance book. Each main character has their own struggles and they learn what it means to overcome doubts and come together. All the side characters were enjoyable. The romance was believable. The banter between Becket and Evie made me laugh and smile throughout.
You do not have to read other books in this series to read this book. It can be read stand-alone. However, as soon as I finished this book, I wanted to read more!
The Audiobook actors did great jobs. I really enjoyed the audio format.
I LOVED IT!

In the Weeds, who doesn't love a sneaky rom-com. B.K. Borison knocked it out of the park. It was a fast read that I was in love with. You will not be disappointed picking up this book.

I liked Evelyn and Beckett so much in Lovelight Farms, and I was really glad their story was up next in In the Weeds. This is the second installment of B.K. Borison's Lovelight series. You could read these as standalones, but I think they're more fun in order.
Evelyn and Beckett had great chemistry the whole way through. Since we know their attraction was purely physical from the get-go, I think it was fantastic how B.K. Borison spent the time having them establish a real friendship in In the Weeds. Gosh, Beckett was just so darn sweet!
The audio version of is nicely performed by Pippa Jayne; Dane Anderson. Ms. Jayne performs Lovelight Farms as well, but it's great they decided to go with dual narrators for this one.

Sweet + Steamy + Slightly Silly = In the Weeds by indie author B.K. Borison. Think Hallmark movie with sexy scenes.
In the Weeds is book 2 in the Lovelight series and focuses on Beckett, Stella's partner in Lovelight Farms, and Evelyn, the social media influencer from book 1, in a grumpy + sunshine plus forced proximity romance. It begins with a bang (pun intended) then Beckett and Evie go back to their very different lives.
But when Evie needs to reflect and re-evaluate after a career crisis, she's back at Lovelight Farms and on Beckett's territory. Her life is so much bigger than this small town - can she create a future she's happy with in Inglewild? Can Beckett overcome his anxiety to open his heart?
Readers get to know the quaint town and its quirky citizens in this second novel, which provide lots of heart and humor to the plot. Beckett is a swoony hero who loves cats - what more could a woman want?
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the review copy of this delightful audiobook.

Oh my goodness, I loved this book!! I had high expectations for this book after reading Lovelight Farms last year, and this did not disappoint. This is the second book in the Lovelight series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but would be better enjoyed as part of the series.
I loved being back with these characters in this small town romance. I loved reading a book based around Beckett’s character. He is just the sweetest, and the perfect book boyfriend! I loved seeing him and Evie together. This book had it all, small town romance, sudden roomies, second chance. You will fall in love with these characters and this book. Once I got started, I didn’t want to put it down. I already can’t wait to read the next book in the series!! If you’re looking for a good romance series to read, I highly recommend this one!

In the Weeds by B.K. Borison is part of a series that I love. Evie and Beckett are perfect and their banter is really well done. I listened to the audible, which was not my favorite, but that is only because I did not connect with the actors voices. The actors did a fantastic job, but they just were not for me. I can not wait to dive in and read Mixed Signals. I also even purchased the book so I could annotate it because it can't be done through audible. I now fully understand the hype everyone has for this author.

I really loved Lovelight Farms and was excited for In the Weeds because it was the exploration of Beckett’s relationship. The narration was really well done and gave the characters the perfect voice. I loved the push and pull between Beckett and Evelyn and the continuation of the small town romance. But, in the end, this story just felt different to me. What diminished the story for me was the miscommunication trope in the story. Given how the story was going, it seemed a little unnecessary to have added this in and it took away something for me. I would still be interested in reading the next book in the series.

I did not realize this was the 2nd book in the series, so I do want to go back an ready Stella and Luke's love story. I am not an outdoorsy girl at all, but I would move to a farm in a minute if I could find a sexy silent, Beckett. Evie and Beckett have an incredibly hot two night stand and think they will never see each other again. Fortunately Evie a social media influencer who brings attention to small business, one being the farm where Beckett is part owner. After an uncomfortable stay, she heads back home. The meeting left them both a put out, though Evie felt very happy in the community. As Evie goes back into her every day influencer life, she realizes she no longer feels happy and wants to find that again. She thinks of the last place that made her happy and its back in the little town with Beckett. With no room at the inn to speak, she stays with Beckett. Though it starts off frosty they slowly warm back up to each other and what that means. Beckett is a little socially standoffish, but loves his family and community and begins to open up to Evie and the possibility of a relationship. This was an incredibly cute story and I can't wait to go back and take a look at the entire series. The characters are funny, sweet, and quirky. This was good book for me especially after I had hit a dry spell.

4.25-4.5 stars
As with the first one in the series, I enjoyed this small-town romance. I liked the two main characters and their chemistry; they both kind of suck at meaningful, direct communication, so naturally, things get complicated quickly. The temporary-almost-breakup near the end was delightfully angsty, and something about it just really worked for me. In general, it was a sweet, funny story. I’m not positive yet, but I will more than likely read the next book in the series at some point as well.

A slow burn if there ever was one. Which is usually not my thing... but for some reason, I really enjoyed this.
A one-night stand turned awkward chance meetup turned roommates turned... more! That sounds a bit hallmark channel cheesy but B.K. Borison made it work.
The heart of this book is about finding your happiness regardless of outside pressures. Isn't that something we all need a little more of? Feeling disconnected from your work and need a reset. Isn't that a universal truth?
Relatable, perfect amount of steam, and has characters you want to root for.

This is a cute book. That is easy to listen to, I enjoyed the dual narrators which made each POV feel more engaging. Farmer meets social media influencer felt different enough to that it kept my interest. The tension between Becket and Evelyn 😮💨 was the best part. I did wish they would kind of get out of their own heads and expressed their feelings for each other earlier, but that would have cut the tension.
MMC: Becket - farmer that is a total softy and sort of hides under his awkward turtle introverted shell. He also has a raging sweet tooth which is so funny and cute.
FMC: Evelyn - social media influencer that uses social media for the purpose of highlighting local businesses from the places she visits and vlogs about. I love her journey of self discovery outside of social media and how she was able to put her skills to use helping others.
Side Characters - I loved the side characters, I always enjoy nosy, high energy characters that are kind of gossipy.

I read this book last year and when I saw the audiobook available on netgalley, I had to snag it. The narration on this story was done so well and I was engaged the entire time. The pacing was great, the reactions felt genuine and hearing this story for the second time made me so happy.
Thank you #netgalley for an early listen of #InTheWeeds

I don't have enough words to express how much I loved this book! It was just incredible. I loved revisiting Lovelight farms. Beckett & Evelyn had so much chemistry. their mutual pining & tension was phenomenal!!!! and the spice is 🌶️🔥🤩. The narrator's did an incredible job of bringing these characters to life.

A fabulous addition to the Lovelight Farm series. Do opposites attract and can it work? Sometimes, absolutely yes. Other times, nope, best to leave it all in the past. Which will this one be? Beckett and Evie meet and it’s fireworks. Lots and lots of fireworks. And then she disappears. Poof, in the middle of the night just gone. They meet again when she shows up in his community and then for the second time, she is gone. Beckett has decided to let her go and move on for his own well being. Evelyn is at a crossroads. Her career as a media social influencer is bringing her financial rewards, but the rest of it is making her question her choices and the road she is on. She packs up and heads to the place where she last felt most like herself and happy. It just happens to be where Beckett, the really good person who she can’t stop thinking about lives. They are kind of forced back into each others lives, which is sweet, but didn’t ring completely true to me. Initially I found them lacking in chemistry, mostly because Evelyn was so self involved and did exactly what she wanted with no thought as to anyone else. A little annoying to me, and in reality, they’d never have wound up together, but certainly added to their growth and eventual HEA. This was a sweet listen the takes place in a small town with a fun, if not very invasive cast of characters!
Great narration added to the listening experience.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this ARC.
After recently reading Lovelight Farms and loving it, I was so excited to return back to these characters and town. Beckett was so interesting in the first book, that I couldn’t wait to see his character explored in this book.
I am happy to say that this book did not disappoint!
Beckett and Evelyn were so cute! I loved that they both were still thinking about each other even though their time together was so brief.
Every time Beckett called Evie “honey” or “hun” made me so giddy. The way they interacted was just so precious.
One aspect that was introduced in this book was Beckett’s family, and I loved it. His sisters and parents added to the story, and I loved how he interacted with them.
It was also fun getting to see glimpses of Stella and Luka in this book as well.
My only issue with this book was that Beckett and Evelyn’s conflict was frustrating because it could have been easily avoided had they just communicated better.
I would definitely recommend this book and the first book in this series. I can’t wait to read the next book!

My first Borison book and will not be my last! All the hype was well deserved and I’m happy to finally experience the Lovelight world.
I listened to In the Weeds during long car rides to our next destination in Italy. It kept me company while my eyes took in beautiful scenery and the beautiful love story was a perfect complement to the sights. This story was raw, honest, steamy and wonderfully alluring.
As a sucker for small town romances, I just loved all the supporting characters that provide a solid foundation for Evelyn and Beckett. Beckett’s heart was such a joy to hear about and describing his sensory processing issues and anxiety in social situations were well written.
The dual perspective also adds another layer of goodness to experiencing this love story and I can’t forget mentioning the chemistry between the two protagonists was perfect.
Also need to note that the male narrator was great but I wasn’t a fan of the female narrator’s breathy voice. Just a personal opinion.
Thank you Dreamscape Media for the alc. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

It was a DNF for me. It seemed cute, and to be fair maybe it is because I haven't read the other books in the series, but there wasn't enough to keep me consistently listening.

This was a sweet book. I really like Becket. He was shy, sweet, rugged farmer. It was an enjoyable read but nothing in is sparked for me. I like is well enough. The story was fine. Just didn't like really connect or got invested in this story.

Rounding up to 4 stars. This was a quick and easy listen.
I liked a lot about this book: I enjoyed the characters and bought into their insta connection and the tension that came later. I was also into the slow burn. I found the town and secondary characters charming and intriguing and I would come back to the other books in the series.
There were some things that didn't work for me: The narration was just okay. At times I found the narrator for Evelyn a bit stilted. Also, light spoiler: <spoiler> I was disappointed with the third-act break up. It felt a bit contrived and formulaic.</spoiler> Finally, Evelyn's dark skin was mentioned many times but I don't think there was any mention of her cultural heritage so it felt like empty (although not harmful) representation.
Overall, a nice light small-town romance with sweet characters.

Great addition to the series. Really enjoyed the first one and this one didn't disappoint. Everyone wants this kind of love. This is a two POV book with the POV´s of Evelyn and Beckett and a beautiful second chance romance.
