Thank you Dreamscape Media for the advanced listening copy!

After a whirlwind weekend together in Maine, Beckett is completely thrown off when social media influencer Evie shows up to the farm he works at for a social media contest. He's thrown off again when she suddenly disappears. Months later, Evie is on a quest to once again find her happy, leading her back to Lovelight Farms and Beckett.

When I started this book, I wasn't aware that it was part of a series of interconnected standalones, and now I'm so excited to read the other ones! I had a little bit of a hard time getting into this at first, but once I did, I loved it! Beckett and Evie are such a cute pair and I loved the way that they both supported the other's happy throughout. The book became a bit repetitive to me and I always struggle when miscommunication is involved, but other than that I really enjoyed this one!

. I read this book earlier this year and requested the audio through Netgalley because I yearned to return to Lovelight and visit Beckett and Evelyn again.

In the story we have grumpy, Christmas tree farmer Beckett (who has a soft heart for kittens and ducklings!). Most of his grumpiness is because he has social anxiety.

And then we have sunshiney Evelyn, a social media influencer with millions of followers who has lost her “happy.” She’s looking for the last place she felt happy- and that was Lovelight.

The two had a one night stand once in another city, and Beckett doesn’t know how to handle Evelyn storming back in his life.

The audio is everything I hoped for. When I already love a book, I’m scared the audio won’t do it justice. Fortunately that’s not the case here. Both narrators have excellent pacing and emotional depth. They did an excellent job of bringing me back to Lovelight Farms and performing Beckett’s reluctance and Evelyn’s enthusiasm.

This is exactly what I needed to listen to before hopping into BK Borison’s next book in the series: Mixed Signals.

Thanks to Dreamscape Media for the copy of this audiobook.

I am enjoying the storyline and made it halfway on audio before putting it down. I planned switch to Kindle Unlimited to finish, but ended up picking the audio back up after about a week to finish. Unfortunately, I did not like the narrator choices for In the Weeds and I think they are taking away from the book's experience. I also didn’t connect with the female main character and found her somewhat annoying. If she just would’ve been straightforward, so much conflict could’ve been avoided! I’ll still continue to read the series after enjoying Lovelight Farms more, but this one wasn’t for me… which is unfortunate because honestly Beckett is just a dream!

Overall, I loved the story but wasn't a fan of the narrator. This book has been on my TBR for a while and I'm so glad I finally got to read it. I loved Beckett and Evelyn! They were funny and likeable characters who I couldn't help but root for.

I adored this sequel to Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison. This story follows Beckett and Evie. I loved the addition of Beckett's difficulty with loud spaces and crowds. It didn't feel forced. I also loved the idea of finding your happy that is prevalent throughout the story. The town and all of the smaller characters where charming and reminded me of Gilmore Girls. It was the perfect rom com. Thank you so much to NetGalley for sharing the audiobook with me before it was released.

It's not easy being lost.
It's not easy being found.

Evie is disconnected, leaving Inglewild (and Beckett) didn't help that. She's on a mission, to find her happy, and the last place she felt it was on a farm in a small town. Beckett is satisfied with his life to a point but he lives it for other people. While it's an admiring quality for him to care for his people the way he does, he also needs to be a tiny bit selfish and go after his desires. Can they find what they are looking for in each other?

So wholesome, the writing gives me warm fuzzies insides and this town wraps me up in a hug that I never want to escape from. Pieces of each part of this town has wormed its way inside me and I need to be on their phone tree, I need to know who is doing what, I want all their stories and I want to dig!

I can't explain how much my heart and soul needed this book. It showed me that feeling lost can lead to new things and new beginnings. Be right back ... I'm going to find my happy.

Such a great narration job!

“Did you find your happy today?”

I was so excited to be back in the town on Inglewild, and to read Beckett’s story.

This is the second book in the Lovelight farms series. I loved reading Beckett and Evelyn’s story. The forced proximity that comes from living in the same house is gold and there is just something about a small town romance that has me 😍.

The narrators Pippa Jayne and Dane Anderson did a wonderful job and I enjoyed this book very much in audiobook format.

I highly recommend this book and the Lovelight farms series. A huge thank you to #netgalley and #dreamscape media for the gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

As the summary stated, this book is sweet and steamy and set in a small town you can’t help wanting to move to… where everyone knows everyone and even gets into each others’ business…in a good sort of way. The tension and charisma between Beckett and Evelyn kept me listening to see what transpired. I love that, though part of a series, the book was a standalone book.

The narrators did a great job overall. I am guessing Dane narrated Beckett’s point of view. Though I love Beckett’s voice (very sexy) I did not like Dane’s performance of Evelyn. I found the voice to be a little babyish and distracting. Dane’s overall pacing and style was great.Pippa did a fabulous job with Evelyn’s voice as well as Beckett and other minor characters. Her pacing was great and she had such warmth in her voice.

Thankyou to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC and chance to review.

I enjoyed this book even more than the first in the series, Lovelight Farms. I think what really made this one stand out was the dual POV. I already loved the little town of Inglewild and this book made me love it even more.

Beckett and Evie clearly had chemistry and I loved getting to see them together. My only complaint for this one was that the third act break up was completely ridiculous. I know to expect these in romance novels, but I just couldn't deal with this one.

I would highly recommend this to any fans of small town romance, especially for fans of the show Gilmore Girls. I am looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Oh Becket… I adore you! I needed this book immediately after reading Lovelight Farms and was beyond excited to see it was going to be Beckett and Evelyn’s story. I loved their history and how they were reacquainted. I loved this second chance, with a grumpy farmer meets social media influencer all happening at the perfect setting of Lovelight Farms. I’m so excited for the next in the series!!!

In the Weeds
B.K. Borison
3.5 stars

This is my first read by B.K. Borison and even though this is the second in the Lovelight Farms series, you can read this as a stand-alone.
It started out showing you how the two MCs had met and got cozy with each other. Then one leaves and comes back then leaves again. I couldn't follow that part very well. I enjoyed the small-town Maine feeling but I just couldn't get into the book that much it was cute and sweet but I was iffy on it throughout. I think I need to read a physical copy of this the audio just didn't connect for me. I also need to read the first book and then that might help me.

Thank you, Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook for an honest review.

I wanted so badly to love this book. unfortunately, this one just wasn't a fav. i wasn't able to connect with the characters or feel fully immersed in the story. however, there were still certain aspects that I enjoyed like the forced proximity, enemies to lovers, and grumpy x sunshine tropes. Although these tropes are some of my favorites. I didn't feel any chemistry between the characters or their romance. The one thing that made me really enjoy this book was the small town setting, it was so lovely and incredibly fun to read about.

DNF at 23% - Three stars for NG as I didn't finish but know that some friends loved it
I'm fairly certain this is a book I should have physically read rather than tried on audio. The beginning content seemed jarring in my ear and without a lot of background context. I was also a bit confused at the who's who. A friend of mine read this series in order and she loved them so that also may be impacting my opinions as I tried it as a standalone.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.

In the Weeds is the second book in the Lovelight series. Lovelight farms is the 1st book yes you can read this one alone. BUT you get introduce to everyone in the 1st book and you would feel like your missing something if you don't read the 1st book. I 100% recommend reading the series in order.

Beckett Porter and Evelyn (Evie) St. James met in a bar in Maine. They meet at a conference and spent two days hooking up and then they never thought they would see each other again. Well if you recall from the 1st book and who Evie is you will know they were both shocked to see each other again at Lovelight Farms.

In this book, Evie wants a break from being an influencer. She wants to relax and unwind and decides to return to the the town and farm which charmed her. She doesn't tell them she's coming and just goes but when she gets there, there's no place for her to stay the Inn is booked up and who does she run into? Beckett and he offers her to stay at his place until she can get a room.

Its awkward and strange avoiding each other until they get into a rhythm and a friendship. You would think they have nothing in common with him being a farmer and her being a social media influencer. She's always on the go and he is loyal and wants to help everyone but is afraid if he lets her get close she will have to leave again. This one was laugh out loud funny and how well they work together and mesh well is everything.

I can't wait for the 3rd book in this series I'm loving them and can't wait to see more from the town and what they have up there sleeve next.

This is Book 23 of 30 for September participating in the Bookopoly Readathon

If you're looking for a heart warming grumpy x sunshine read, this is the one for you. I enjoyed the writing style and the aesthetic of Lovelight Farms. I hadn't read the first book but it didn't bother me. The town of Inglewild reminded me of Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls. Very much the same vibes with the town meetings and goofy/sweet family dynamics. A more modern feel, though. I would have given this higher stars but the miscommunication was so damn stupid. That's already one of my least favorite conflicts in a romance novel and this one was done rather poorly. Also, despite not having too many issues with either MC, I didn't really feel like they had much chemistry. Yes, they hooked up before and it was soooo good....other than that it's like, are you guys even right for each other? It dragged in several places but overall, I liked it. I listened to this as an audiobook and wasn't crazy about either narrator, I may have enjoyed this more as a physical read. Thank you to NetGalley for the audio ARC!

Because i thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the Lovelight Farm series, I looked forward to this book, which is the second in the series. I found it just as enjoyable with the same cast of entertaining, interfering secondary small-town characters, along with an adorable bunch of kittens. In the first book, Stella, the owner of Lovelight Farm, a Christmas Tree Farm in Maine, was disqualified from a social media contest run by influencer Evelyn St. James.

Evelyn is the the main character in this book. It turns out that Evelyn had a brief affair with Beckett, the hot grumpy Christmas tree farmer at Lovelight Farms, before she ever visited the farm in connection with the contest. While there, she reconnected with Beckett and fell in love with the small town. Now she’s disillusioned with her career and decides to return because it’s the last place she was happy. This was a sweet, funny, well-written romance, and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

I listened to the audible edition, and the narration was excellent.

"I'm trusting her to make her own choices and to choose me "

The sexual tension between Evelyn and co owner of Lovelight Farms Beckett is intense steam in Book Two of the Lovelight Farm holiday small-town romance series, In The Weeds, by new romance author B.K. Borison.

Narrator Pippa Jayne's performance as Evelyn who is at a crossroads feeling burn out from her Influencer job is very real. Seeing Beckett at the farm she realizes he is the sexy stranger she had a wild 2 day affair with months ago at a convention.

The steam from narrator Dane Anderson as Beckett made me blush listening to his need for Evelyn. He's a grump with social anxiety disorder. Yet he adopts a stray cat, her kittens and an injured duck.

This second chance romance is sweet, sexy and you have to love a man who saves animals.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Dreamscape Media via #netgalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

This is such a cozy story and it is so heartwarming!!

This was such a great story! I absolutely loved Evie and Beckett’s love story and how they found each other again. I love how you could feel their connection through out the story and I enjoyed how they brought out the best in each other!

They felt so real and I just wanted the best for them :) I related so hard to Evie feeling burnt out and it was nice to see her take time for herself and to figure out what she truly wanted to do. You could just tell how much of a people pleaser Beckett was and how he rarely did things for himself.

I absolutely loved how supportive both Evie and Beckett were of each other. Especially the trivia scene and the scenes when they’re out in public and it gets too noisy for Beckett. Seeing that support and love just made my heart melt. I really loved when Beckett was helping Evie out. It was such a beautiful scene and it brought tears to my eyes!

“It’s okay if it takes you some time to find it again. And it’s okay if you find it just to lose a bit of it here and there. That’s the beauty of it, yeah? It comes and goes. Not every day is a happy one and it shouldn’t be. It’s in the trying, I think.”

Not only was the romance done so well, the messages throughout made it so well rounded. This was so much deeper than I expected but it was everything I needed! Seeing Evie and Beckett both deal with professional obstacles but still manage to overcome them while also finding love within each other was so beautifully done.

Such a good read!

Such a sweet love story! I read the book a while ago and I was so excited about the audio. Loved the narrator and the characters, Beckett still being my favorite. I’d listen or read anything Borison writes!
